431 is a mixed bag but i love that Bakugo is in tune with his emotions, he realized that Deku is a special person to him and can live with that, regardless of where they stand, whether Izuku reciprocates that commitment. that's such a nice testament of Bakugo's growth :)

Deku doesn't save Tomura

Ochako doesn't save Toga

Shoto doesn't save Touya

from what we’ve seen in these bonus pages…nothing really mattered. as in, kacchan’s sacrifice and dream of izuku and him chasing each other to the top of the rankings. izuku’s dream of being hero is given to him essentially by kacchan but their talk isn’t going to be about that? don’t even get me started on the villains :(

izuku and kacchan still both have wonderful character development throughout the story and i’m happy for it, but really was just one step away from “completing” their story.

really, i’m mostly upset that katsuki doesn’t seem happy. he’s successful, sure, but other than that…i haven’t seen any of the smiling, peaceful katsuki we had during and directly after the war. and izuku…just doesn’t seem himself, as in the state he’s in now doesn’t seem earned/forced to be the happy protagonist. no talk about his loneliness or failure to save tenko? all that burden after the war is just…gone after the time skip? a bit of a letdown for my two favorite characters. we don’t see him breakdown about giving up ofa, no one calls him out on his lying, no talk about controlling his heart…i love izuku and wished he had more. he brushed off katsuki’s wish for them to chase each other forever n we never got a follow up ? after katsuki fulfilled that wish? from the boy who “spent his life chasing him”? it’s just odd writing, ships or not as the focus.

no handhold, no crepe date, no introspections, no acknowledgment of sacrifices/developments…ofc i’m quite literal and enjoy seeing these things not implied, but that’s just my preference. still love mha and its initial message, but just…confused to what happened.

maybe after the full bonus pages drop it’ll make sense? just really don’t understand why such a successful manga was rushed and pushed out like this. giving the handhold, twice, to another pairing w no foreshadowing of it almost feels spiteful to me 😭 would love to ask horikoshi what his thought process was.

sorry this is disorganized, i’m jus gettin thoughts out :) love yall, and feel for those who bkdk/dkbk became an important part of their lives. it’s such a lovely relationship with amazing development. ty yall for being part of this community !

well, it’s not like I stopped shipping narusasu after both got married and had kids with women, so a simple scene implying that izuku and ochako ended up together isn’t going to make me stop shipping bakudeku
