Hello! I’m a new artist here! This is my first time posting on tumblr, so I might take time to get used to it a bit… (also English is not my first language btw, sorry🥹)

Sorry that I haven't posted any new art or written anything, things have been stagnant for a bit, I have been writing and sketching but nothing is finished, but I promise that I'm always thinking of family Dimitrescu.

I do have a new fic that I've been working on, but I'm super slow so I don't know when that'll be posted, and I'm getting a new tablet so hopefully I'll have the urge to draw again

Some headcanons about Alcina that are not really explained at all in "Underneath the Howling Moon," simply because there wasn't really any need to bring up these details. I've been meaning to jot some of these down at some point.

Alcina, like most vampires, is unable to handle sunlight. It doesn't outright disintegrate her considering she did not obtain vampirism through "normal means."

Sunlight does hurt her badly as she gains second degree burns. Any longer than a minute however and she'll have third degree burns. It basically burns her alive rather slowly.

It's never been stated aside from one line in "Three Furry Little Surprises," but Alcina actually created a special concoction that allows her to be under sunlight.

Imagine it like sunscreen that you drink. Anytime Alcina needs to go out for whatever reason, she drinks her concoction and dresses into something that will give her shade.

The heat is still uncomfortable for her however, and she cannot simply stand out in the open without some shade.

The concoction doesn't completely protect her from sunlight, but it doesn't outright burn her. It's basically an irritating sting that can still gradually get worse if not protected.

In terms of abilities, of course Alcina has very sensitive hearing and is very fast. She still has her signature claws, and absolutely has fangs.

An ability that she has that was, again, shown in "Three Furry Little Surprises," was being able to move through the shadows.

While standing within a shadow or any darkened area, Alcina's body can disappear into thin air, allowing her to traverse within the darkness.

Imagine teleportation, but the only hinderance is that she needs to enter and exit a shadow or dark corner. If light doesn't hit the area directly, she can move within it.

One last cute headcanon to end it off, Alcina taught Bela, Cassandra, and Daniela how to swim properly as the girls could only do the doggy paddle.
