Zach and Chris have a little bet. Unfortunately for Zach, that bet involves Chris teaching him how to be a romantic lead, and he's pretty sure it's going to kill him. Premise loosely based on the novel Beach Read.

Zach is trying to get through a break up. Chris is trying to not be in love with his best friend. Neither of them are great at communicating. Original inspiration was the song West Coast by Coconut Records but somehow we got here.

ANYWAY. It’s been a while since I was in the fanfic game, but I am having fun. Expect a new one coming down the pipeline in the next few days. Fair warning, April has accused me of having an obsession with Vintage Pinto, and she is correct. I love an late 00’s/early 10s’ fic and I wont apologize.
