PART I of my Youtube video!
Since my video was too large a file, I have shortened it into three section. You can still watch the full video here;

This was actually something i did in the second week of class. Whilst i’m extremely proud of it, I believe it too closely resembles the original picture i was inspired by. Thus i lost interest in the originality of the work itself.

Week 4
From the end of last week into this week, I have focussed my energy on adding the finishing touches to my youtube video and my last few posts. I had a lot of fun creating my video in imovie these past two weeks, so this week i have been dedicated to making the video enjoyable, short and creative to watch. I even found a sneaky way to link my youtube video to my instagram story. This meant i could advertise the release of my youtube video by adding the swipe up option making it easily accessible to my followers.
In these last few days, I have mainly focused on making sure all my platforms are up to date and have links that refer the viewer to my other social media platforms. Overall its been great to see my aesthetic and whole online presence come together. If i had more time i would have loved to have made larger pieces and explore my style further. Nevertheless i think my time was spent wisely and that my dedication and process development, from the beginning of the year, is obvious in my final pieces.

Week 3
This week has been largely focused on the creation of my youtube video project. I have many parts to this piece and it is taking a lot of time. Nevertheless I am extremely pleased with it and I think the time and effort will be visible in the final piece.
With each day I am seeing my style evolving and form a singular aesthetic. So I do feel that I have finally addressed my concerns on creating an aesthetic for my online presence. I have also continued to post my photography in a style that works better with my new digital pieces.
On the Wednesday of this week I did get the opportunity to explore using the Wacom Tablet for the first time and a section of this will be included into my youtube video. Downloading the proper software did take a long time but was fairly easy to do. I found the tablet simple to use but would need some time to adjust to. I used it for twenty minutes at the end of class until I felt I would be able to get more accomplished without it. I would be really keen to use this again at a point where I’m not stressed for time. I think it would be a really great asset to my designs and the comfort of my hand!
Another issue I tackled this week at home was the idea of copyright. We also had some discussion in class about what it was and how to avoid it. I was able to find some really cool music provided by youtube that would not be copyrighted.
However I was really confronted by this issue when after finishing one of my pieces of a girl reading a book at a cafe, my mother asked me whether or not I would be copyrighted for having replicating the ‘Penguin Books’ logo. While I was not exactly sure, I thought its appropriate to remove the logo and Brand name to be safe.

Week 2
In the past two weeks, continuing to develop my project. I have spent a large amount of time on two particular images. Whilst I am extremely happy with how they have turned out, I think I will try and quicken the pace in order to make two more by the end of this week. Nevertheless, my two finished works and the one I have in progress, all share a similar aesthetic. I am extremely pleased with how they are forming and the obvious themes that are emerging from their creation. I seem to be conflicted still with the aesthetic of my online presence, as my photography is very dissimilar to my digital works, yet I am very excited for the future as I think that eventually my as my works become more self directed an aesthetic will eventually come naturally.
Further I had the opportunity this week to console my teacher on my progress. He agreed that my work had a clear similarity and that a general aesthetic will form once as continue to develop my practice. We also discussed the digital platforms I will be using for my works. Agreeing that using youtube to post my video assignment, which I aim to have completed by this weekend, will work well and be easy to construct.

This piece of work was created from an idea I originally had two years ago. The original is an unfinished pen and water colour piece on canvas. I also managed to find some scrap papers I used during its creation, which i have included. It was really fun and therapeutic to bring one of my old projects back to life, through an entirely different creative method.

Week 1           - Session 2
To begin the second session off we started the day by reviewing the overview of the workshops particular themes for over the next few weeks as well as examining the assessment requirements.  For those of us who participated in digital drawing last session, we were able to reflect and discuss what went well and how or if we will choose to build on these projects or tools. I have decided to continue my work on the Instagram and Tumblr account I made last session. Whilst during the holidays I continued to post some of my photography, I am excited to continue my digital work on these platforms. I believe this will also give a really interesting progression of my skills and capabilities on both adobe illustrator and photoshop. I do however, feel very conflicted about my general aesthetic, this is something I struggled with last session so I hope that in the next four weeks I will be able to construct a particular aesthetic. I have been familiarising myself with the artists and other online platforms I used last time in order to understand why I like particularly found them interesting, and how this might be relevant to my own account. During class we reviewed the different soft and hard ware tools available to us, and those Trevor has recommended for the completion of our projects. I have found RedBubble very interesting and I intend to try this platform when I have some creative pieces.  I will also have to explore more online streaming sites to use for my final assignment.
Here are some strange ideas I started with. I might come back to them at a later date.
