So I'm have a hunch that we're probably heading back east for Horizon three, and I have two reasons:

1. I just think it's really interesting how they dropped on us that not only was Elysium a few miles away from Gaia Prime, but also that it went offline and cut all contact with Gaia Prime long before the hundred years lifespan of the facility was up. Like. That's weird. Was it sabotaged from within? External forces? Have they done horrible experiments to themselves like Ted Faro? Cryogenic freezing? The Faro Plague didn't get it because GAIA confirmed it sealed properly, so Something Else Is Afoot. And I really hope we get to go see it because I think that would be a very emotional quest, regardless of whatever emotions it elicits. They're gonna be A Lot.

2. Nemesis is a terrifying amalgamation of human and machine that brings to mind Mass Effect 2's Overlord DLC. In terms of proximity, the closest tribe that has the best grip on machines are the Oseram. In terms of knowledge, that would be the Quen, but them being on the other side of the globe is kind of a handicap. And the entrance to The Claim, as I understand it, is north of Pitchcliff, which happens to be closeish to Gaia Prime.

So, as much as I'd love to go across the sea, I feel like we're probably going to head back toward familiar territory for a bit. At least before venturing further into the Savage East

it is deeply funny to me that half the premise of Burning Shores hinges on the Quen having 20-year-old Focus units that don't have the hardware capability to place a phone call from LA to San Francisco

when using Play As Talanah And More (the Model Swap Mod) you can change face paints of NPCs you swapped too, and YES they all have unpainted face textures somewhere out there in the game files 🙌 it's a bit janky tho. Nora and Carja paint is placed under the default one, so you get 2 layers. also if you go with anything but No Face Paint everyone gets Aloy's eye color, eye shadow, skin tone and scalp textures (and I think normal/bump etc. maps too??? everyone's suspiciously smooth). AND all the guys end up Aloy-sized 😂

The Faro focus is the coolest thing and I cant wait until it’s real but seems like the most annoying design flaw that if ur in the same network with someone they can just talk in ur ear any time they want
