Oh! I am always excited for picrews! Especially ones I can feed hyperfixations with!

So, obviously, I had to make my current designs for the cat versions of the Ninja from Ninjago.

First was Lloyd, aka Lightstorm. He's a cream ticked tabby with low white. (Fun fact, I've put these cats into Clangen to see what they could potentially have on their hidden genes, and Lightstorm has black carrying cinnamon under his ginger.)

Next are the siblings Kai and Nya, which was an interesting process, to say the least. I basically threw Ninjago canon out the window, because I do not care enough about Ray and Maya to do the whole son looks like father and daughter looks like mother thing. To achieve that, and avoid the water ladies being ginger, I'd have to make Ray and Kai chocolate or Cinnamon, with Maya carrying one of those alleles under her black. And I'd rather not make my firestarter into a genetically accurate Firestar.

So, instead, we're getting black-based Ray and tortie Maya (neither of whom I care to design) so that Kai can be ginger and his sister black-based.

I also decided Maya is silver carrying non-silver, because making Nya Silver was a design choice I really liked.

Oh, also their warrior names are Firefang(Kai) and Seaspring(Nya)

Next to get a redesign was one of two cats who also got a name change. Originally, I had Zane's cat design as a white cat named Snowwind. Recently, I decided to change him into a blue lynx point and name him Frostwind, still related to his element but less difficult for me to say aloud. Also, now he can keep the icy blue eyes without the higher potential of becoming deaf :3.

Next is Seaspring's mate(aka Nya's boyfriend). Jay(aka Stormclaw) is a simple blue tabby. I had to give him a bit of white so he can keep his blue eyes, so now he has white paws like how the show version of Jay seems to like wearing white gloves.

Finally, mostly because I'm saving making Pixal and Geo in this picrew for some family tree stuff later, we've got Cole. Originally, he was a solid black cat named Coalpelt(real original, I know), but I ended up changing him to a black tabby. Later in the show, Cole has more associations with shades of brown despite being dressed in mostly black. I also changed Coalpelt to Mountainheart. Still hard to justify if he's still living in a forest away from any mountains, but idk. I haven't reworked the story around the warriors versions yet.

I plan to make more cats with this picrew, so expect a reblog with my sonas, and probably different reblogs with the family trees of each of these cats. Oh! And maybe my Lego Monkie Kid Warriors au designs too!
