Esme was born not long after the family relocated to Turtle Bay. She never really got to see her father but she became her brothers shadows for a while and spent a good portion of her childhood refusing to speak English because her brothers had issues with it and instead would respond in Italian or Spanish though she understood English very well.

By the time she made it to third grade though her teachers cracked down on her and told her she would be stuck in elementary school if she didn't start speaking the language and while stubborn she was also someone that liked to excel and wanted to make her family proud so started speaking English which she primarily speaks with outsiders now.

She was her father's daughter even if no one really saw it and seeing everything that happened in his life she wanted to take care of him and so became a doctor spending years in med school proving herself and winding up in the trauma ward of Turtle Bay Hospital.

She was never planning on going into her family business. She was there to patch them up but it wasn't like she was going to join in. She didn't see the merit in that life. She found a man and was going to settle down with him and even found herself pregnant. She did not realize he was an undercover cop tasked with getting close to her family and did so through her..

She was about 8 months pregnant when she brought him to a family dinner thinking nothing of it. They were engaged. He had met her brothers and her mother. He just hadn't met her father and that night he was meant to. He showed up at her house before going there and she noticed something off about him he seemed almost too excited.

Nervous on the ride over she saw a badge and told him to take her home. She didn't want to lead anyone to her father. He screamed at her and they fought until he drove off the road into a light pole. Her daughter died and she nearly did as well she was rushed to the hospital and did an emergency c-section hoping to save the child but she was gone.

Esme did not tell her family everything that happened. She told her fiance to leave and never come near her again or he would wish he was dealing with her father or brothers. She fell into a depressive mood but went back to work and told Javiar she was going to join in on the famly business. If it was her legacy she might as well make the most of it.

"With no cleaning products. Isn't that just going to leave a sticky mess." Just get yourself cleaned and sit at my table. Don't spill any more." she said. "I've sat at enough sticky tables it's better to let them know than to let someone else find it later."

Sophia looked up and laughed a bit softly. "I just thought it would be rude to make someone else clean up my mess."

"Like Dance moms. Please tell me I'm in the presence of someone who got so many first places cause if I hear otherwise I'm going to believe it was rigged.

"I was on a dance team," she explained with a shrug, "But now dancing is just fun!"

She reached into her purse pulling out a air tight bag and handing them it the bag containing a new chewy straw that they could chew on and not ruin their teeth or make themselves bleed. "Brand new. I've just washed it dried it and put it back in the bag for you." she told them.

"Let me know and I can help you get the house ready for her." she told them knowing they had plenty of room and she could fix up the things that might put Willow in sensory overload. "I mean you take good care of Frodo how hard could a child be. That is not an invitation. As long as we're living together we are both part of an y bringing children into the world conversations." she said making sure they understood. She doubted she would ever want children.

It had been such an instinctive action that Willow didn’t even realize that they were gnawing on their cheek until Lalita mentioned it. They gave a small nod. “That might be a good idea…” They determined, knowing that they always hated when they gnawed it to bleeding. 

They gave a small nod and a dramatic sigh. Renee would be insufferable if she didn’t have something to do and keep her busy, but there was a school here. Maybe she could substitute teach or something… That was if she even wanted to come to town. “I’ll have to talk to her about it and see if she is sure it is what she might want to do. I am not worried about her wanting grandchildren. I think she would be too afraid of needing to raise them because it is undoubtable that I could not… She is too old to start over after all.”

"We won't I promise." Lex said as she hopped off giving her manager a dirty look. "What is the cost for a photoshoot here." she asked. She'd never had an issue with money nor had she really understood the true value of it. She threw money at problems all the time and got away with a lot because she overpaid but this time she really believed she owed this man and the ranch if they hadn't actually paid for use of this set.

Dawson smiled softly. He didn’t know what the best mother meant or what that was like, but he could imagine. He could piece together an image of a perfect famiy with a picket white fence. He held her hand to abdomen and led the horse into a good steady speed. There was quite a bit of land and they could be anywhere, but it didn’t take nearly as much time as he thought it would.

Just out past his cabin before heading into the woods, they were there all set up and ready, just waiting for their pretty face. He rode up to the group in a bit of a dramatic and quick fashion. Lux let out a small chuckle at Alyssa's comment. She could understand the idea of needing to have a leash or something. It would sure make moments like this seem less stressful. "It's no worry, I have dealt with worse." Lux replied as they should have been paying more attention as well. At least it seemed that they child hadn't gotten hurt.

"More or less. I've also barely been here a year." she said with a shrug. She wanted to go out more but she felt weird going out alone and she didn't have many friends here. "Any suggestions for someone on a budget."

"So you are the homebody type then? I can relate." Raj said with a chuckle. Home and work were the two places it was easy to find him. Mostly at work. "There are a lot of nice places around. I just don't see them often."

For the first ten years of her life Lalita and her family moved around between Louisiana and India for her dad's job before Lalita and her mother got tired of it and put their foot down. They didn't care if it was America or India but they needed to decide as Angelica never could get settled enough to get a job and Lalita had no consistency in her schooling. Her father agreed any they settled in America.

Once they were settled Lalita finally was able to at least attempt to gain friends though it wasn't as easy as she'd hoped in the south. Not just that but because of her moving around and inconsistant education she was also placed in special education to attempt to catch her up where she met her best friend.

Willow and her clicked from the moment they met. She seemed to have very few issues commincating with them even so far as to helping the teacher doing major meltdowns. Lee's birth mother was 14 at the time of her birth. A child that had no support from her own parents and no clue how to raise a child she was encouraged to give her child it's best shot at life and gave it to a family that could provide

Growing up Lee lived in a predominantly white area and had no connection to her own background or culture making her feel lost most of her life as she knew she wasn't like her friends but she couldn't connect with why.

Getting into college she was able to actually look into her birth family which her parents were vehemently against and found her mother and father married with another child that they were able to raise. She wasn't welcome in their family but she was able to get her history and actually feel a connection with her chinese side.

Lux browsed the shelves of the bookstore. If they were being honest, they weren't really taking in any of the books. She had come here as more of a distraction than anything else. It seemed these days that Lux's life was filled with one distraction after another. It was just how they were coping with all of the changes in their life recently. As she turned the corner she thought she heard a voice and looked up to see someone else in the aisle. "Sorry, did you say something?"

It was someplace new but she was interested in trying it out and with Willow working late she could enjoy it and see if it was a good place for them to try as well. Gabriel may have had his hands full at the fire station, but that did not stop him from helping out his family at the restaurant every now and again.
