below my opinions on the localization names as a pre-localization fan (i promise i won't be too mean teehee)

justine courtney -> verity gavelle: justine courtney is so iconic but verity gavelle is also very nice... one of the better localization names for sure. shes hot and awesome either way and that's all that really matters

i didn't draw him in this but raymond shields -> eddie fender: i've seen a bit of criticism for this one but honestly? another solid localization. raymond shields is fun but eddie fender is perfectly fine too imo

sebastian debeste -> eustace winner: ....look. he will always be sebastian debeste to me. i AM willing to adopt the hc that eustace is his middle name to honor the localization, and also because blaise/excelsius would absolutely name his son that. but i will not be calling him that. sorry eustace truthers, this is a hill i'll proudly die on

blaise debeste -> excelsius winner: honestly excelsius fits him i dont have a problem with that. it's pompous and obnoxious like him and the celsius pun is fun. i made his name for the drawing here excelsius b. (for blaise) debeste bc it sounds like "excelsius be the best" hehe

when it comes to their new surname... debeste was always going to be incredibly hard to beat, it's just too good (the best, if you will.....). but even then, winner is just boring sorry. at least spell it differently or smth :/ make it more silly, this is ace attorney!!

anyway enough of my rambling. i love this game and i'm glad it's getting more attention now bc of the localization, even if i personally don't like all of the new names lol
