Idk if you answered this but is Sebastian really big or is wren really small?

I know Sebastian is like part whale so I can see him being huge compared to normal humans but I think it's funny if wren is just the odd tiny human (probably took wren weeks getting to Sebastian shop)

I've mostly decided that Wren is actually extra small in the drawings! I talked a little bit about it in this ask here (in the read more), that it's probably a temporary effect from some undisclosed entity/anomaly or Urbanshade tech I have yet to come up with. This lets me also draw Wren as a regular sized person if I ever want to :D

You might have heard this before and/or a lot, but there's either action figures (which might be haunted) or actual borrowers in pressure. Do enough runs and check all corners, and you might eventually stumble upon small roblox people frozen in poses of fear. I'm entirely unsure of any lore behind them, but me and my fellow g/t pressure friend say that hadal had borrowers in the walls! Maybe wren is a borrower test subject from before in some AU?

So I’m gonna take this moment to write out my thoughts on how I justify Wren being super small, it’s still up in the air and vague

The excuse I’ve been silently using is that there’s some entity/anomaly that causes a regular average expendable to shrink down for whatever reason. This leaves it open for if I ever want to depict Wren as their normal (checks notes) 5’2” self, as it would be a temporary effect that wears off. So you could say that I’ve been drawing Sebastian as his regular size and the expendable is just extra smol

There is a room type in game already where the door to the next room continues to get smaller and smaller as you approach it. Maybe this strange room could cause whatever passes through the tiny door on the end to stay that size for some time

Alternatively my friend came up with the idea of an Alice in Wonderland reference! Like maybe there is a room with a super tiny door, and a table with a drink on it to shrink yourself to be able to fit through the door. Wren would be super unlucky to keep encountering these strange rooms so often on their runs

I also don’t think it would be too far fetched to simply say that… Urbanshade made a shrinking drug or ray. It’s cliche I know, but I mean they made ghost killing bullets, they’d make anything for profit! It could be useful to sell to spies or anyone generally trying to go undercover. For expendables it would make the trek through the Blacksite much longer, but maybe entities wouldn’t be so quick to attack them as it would be easy to hide and they’d be less interesting to eat (mostly). There’s probably rooms they couldn’t feasibly get through unless they were tiny too

I’m still feeling all this out and trying to keep in mind that not everything needs to make perfect sense if it’s for fun, I have some pre-expendable-protocol-lore written for Wren but I can’t say it’s set in stone

Does Sebastian ever well imma go with comfort your expendable oc from time to time or does he just tease them a lot

I think he sees a lot of expendables pass through having absolute breakdowns over the horrors and stress and he couldn't be bothered to care about every single one of them, so I don't think he'd comfort Wren much, if at all :c Wren is just an easy source of quick entertainment aside from a source of data. BUT if i keep exploring their dynamic more maybe I'll find a place for a little bit of comfort, y'know as a treat :3

I have been deep in thought over whether or not Seb is larger than normal or if the expendable is just smaller than your average person. I’ve silently been blaming it on some unknown entity in the facility that could make someone small for a time, bc then I have an excuse to draw the expendable more ‘normal sized’ too if I want

Oh and to the second person that sent in a similar ask— don't worry I brain stormed up something for that one too, I just gotta get drawing!

So first, thank you! I'm glad people like seeing whatever I make even if it's inconsistent as heck. Sometimes I can draw Seb as a pretty boy and other times his features come out more simplified and I dunno what causes this 😭 I only started drawing more g/t stuff recently— I've always been embarrassed about it for some reason. But since Sebastian is already so big I don't think it's too far fetched to imagine him bigger (or Wren is super small... unsure what is happening)

And as for my comments on this, I imagined this run in particular maybe Wren already had a few close calls, or something was on their mind and they were already overwhelmed before Sebastian even started joking with them. After Wren took his teasing a bit too seriously they just burst out crying and couldn't stop :C so Seb just puts them down and lets them cry it out elsewhere

I try not to make Sebastian too OOC when imagining OC stuff with him, so I think he would simply back off and distance himself from the emotional ruckus he caused on accident. He's still very human and would feel guilt for playing a joke too far, but I don't think he's the type to admit it and apologize. At least not to some Expendable / prisoner he's just trying to get data off of at the end of the day. He'd just silently wait for it to be water under the bridge. The Expendables need his supplies to get close to the precious crystal anyway (at the very least the keycard in his shop), so Wren will have no choice but to come back. It might be awkward initially though

Thinking back 'platonic' probably wasn't the right word to use at the time— (I have since changed the wording) they are pretty much just familiar with each other like Sebastian is with any other regular revisiting Expendable. So I guess just acquaintances is what they are! Wren is easy to scare and that's cheap entertainment for Seb

While I don't think Seb would purposefully cuddle Wren I did think of a scenario that would sort of warrant an accidental hug that I'll add to the list of ideas to maybe draw one day!
