concepts for another old au of mine

so apparently they called the cops claiming i threatened their life.

i'm pretty sure it's not illegal to point out the irony in someone's statement, and even if it was, i'm not sure i cold get arrested for threatening violence against a person who had just then threatened me with violence.

anyway it turns out they're wanted for violence so when they tried to call the cops on me, they basically just handed themselves in.

i guess their inability to see the woods for the trees did them in at the end of the story.

cops will be here later for a statement.

I find it funny when people come to where I live and tell me I need to know my place.

I say.. "You are currently in the middle of nowhere, miles away from civilisation, with no satellite reception on your phone. I could literally kill you are dispose of the body, and nobody would find out, nor would anyone come to investigate your sudden disappearance for literal weeks because all your friends and family have cut you out of their respective lives. You talk about me knowing my place? I think it's you who needs to be aware of your current physical and social location within the world at this very given minute."

Yes, this actually happened. And yes everyone clapped. Because I'm on a farm full of migrant workers. And every one of us is tired of this whole white privilege nonsense.

Character Intro: Nissa

Meet Nissa Wildwander (she/her)! She's my longest-running DnD PC, and I love her to death. She's a forest gnome grave cleric following the goddess of the dead, Nephra (homebrew). Nissa is an adventurer working for a guild (for now-) while simultaneously trying to keep her party members from dying stupidly. She's a big worrier, and she can be pushy, but it's because she cares so deeply about the people around her that she will do anything to keep them safe and healthy.

Before the campaign started, she had a run-in with death that has left lasting damage to her body. She was revived by her best friend and fellow adventurer, Leon, but neither of them had anticipated the consequences. She discovered her hands were beginning to darken and decay, starting from the tips of her fingers and slowly creeping upward. Originally, she'd assumed this was some sort of curse as a punishment for cheating death, and she went on a quest to find a cure. Recently, she discovered it was actually a chronic, magical illness sometimes caused by reincarnation called the Long Death.

There are treatments available to slow the progression of her condition, but there is currently no known cure. Her form is destined to slowly deteriorate until the disease reaches her heart, killing her.

It took her a while to accept this fact, and it's still something she struggles with. But life goes on. While she's still here, she wants to do everything in her power to protect those she loves and still experience life as much as possible. Her adventures have gotten her in some ... interesting situations (she definitely wasn't recently involved with the assassination of the king, what are you talking about), and though it feels like she's going to have a heart attack anytime her friends get into trouble, she wouldn't want to live any other way.

I love this gal so much! She's grown a lot since I've started playing her (she was created a little over two years ago!), and I've had so much fun helping her story progress. We're about to enter the next big arch of the campaign, so I'm excited to see where this new adventure takes her!
