I love the implication that Kiki is a peace advocate animal loving hippie and her sister is a receptionist
Image ID: Screenshot of a Minecraft npc with the text "Thank you for the help with the case. I ordered you something for your dogs as a reward. Funny, looking at your dogs reminds me of my sister... I wonder what she's up to these days. She really loved animals." As a text bubble above her head. A facecam of aphmau is in the upper lefthand corner. End ID.

Mcd Laurance is only flirty when he's trying to put on a front.
Aphmau sees it when she first meets him. He just failed to protect his lord and watched Joh die in front him weeks before she came to Meteli. And he is trying so hard to keep it together because everyone is looking at him. Either for leadership since he's the head guard or in suspicion because they don't believe his story about seeing a ghost who shot the arrow at Joh.
It's so much pressure, but if he even dares to open up and show just how much stress he's under, it will make everything ten times worse.
So, he flirts, compliments, and comes off as nonchalant as he can. It's the only way he's found to make it seem like he has a good of things, while also getting on people's good sides.
The women enjoy his compliments. The guards, merchants, and workers enjoy his banter. And when it doesn't work, he always laugh it off as a joke.
We only see him break from this front when he mentions people he's close to. Like Joh, Cadenza, or Castor.
He tries his best to flirt with Aphmau when they first meet. But it doesn't work. However, instead of having a horrible reaction like anger or disgust, she simply brushes it off and keeps pressing for answers.
The more they interact, his flirtation becomes a sort of special banter. Not the kind he uses with the guards or merchants, but a type of banter he only uses with her. Her reactions are enjoyable and enticing. As much as she groans about it, Laurance can tell she enjoys it. If not, she would have seriously told him to stop.
Later on, this front and even the banter he's formed with Aphmau shatters completely when he comes out of the nether. It's just too much, and he can't keep it up. Not with the void burns lacing his body, not with the aching pain of the transformation still haunting him months later, not with blindness taking away one of his most important senses.
He's the most honest and vulnerable he will ever be. He reaches out to Aphmau with that vulnerability, and she cradles his hand, let's him know that she's here for him.
His infatuation with her begins to grow into something deeper at this point. He confesses, not knowing if he'll die soon. It certainly feels as though he'll lose himself in some way eventually.
She turns him down, and part of him is grateful. Because as nice as it would be to have her, he is in no way a suitable partner for her now. He can't even call himself human anymore. Still, it's nice that she knows, and still accepts his company, still offers him sanctuary in her village.
When he heals and starts feeling a bit like his old self again, he tries reaching for that front he hasn't used in what feels like ages. It's different. He's no longer trying to be charismatic in order to stay in people's good graces. He's genuinely forming connections with the people of Phoenix Drop.
Hid banter becomes more lighthearted and real, less about keeping up appearances and more about having fun and building proper connections. He loves teasing Garroth, as shy and defensive as he is. The head guard makes for an excellent target if Laurance knows what buttons to push. And the way he won't even try to fight back, simple rattles on about dignity and grace and the morals a proper guard should have. Laurance enjoys it, and they begin to form a close bond.
When he starts flirting with Aphmau again, it's all good-natured as it was before. But it's even better now. They each know how they feel about each other, and they each know that the flirting is nothing serious, so Aphmau begins to flirt back.
It's a horrendous first attempt. She and Laurance end up fighting over their shared love for a table. But it's real, and it feels good, and Laurance finds it's so nice to laugh again, to feel human again.

There's such a softness and pureness to the way Aphmau loves.
She's sees the people of Phoenix Drop, struggling with no guidance or support and decides to be that for them.
If it means being their lord, she'll do it.
If it means traveling to neighboring villages for medicine or a doctor to save her people, she'll do it.
She sees children who have lost their families and decides to take them in, to be that family for them, to make sure they are taken care of.
If it means putting more on her already full plate, she'll do it.
If it means having more weaknesses for her enemies, she'll do it.
But there is also a ferocious desire to protect. Those who she has woven a place for in her heart are hers, and she will protect them at all costs.
If it means defying the priest of O'kasis, she'll do it.
If it means going to war to protect those she loves, she'll do it.
Her godhood is not the reason people flock to her, it's her kindness, it's her strength, it's her determination to give those around her a better life.
But as she begins to unravel her forgotten memories and past, recovering pieces of her godhood, she begins to question if those around her truly see her as Aphmau or as Lady Irene.
Does Garroth truly care for her, or is he a reincarnation of Esmund who is drawn to her because she is Irene?
Does Laurance truly care for her, or is he only by her side because the purifying effects of her relic make him feel more human than monster?
Do her children renounce her for abandoning them when it was out of her control? Do they only see her a goddess that deemed a relic more important than her children?
Did Zoey relinquish her immortality to bring them home because she cared for Aphmau, or because she wanted to bring back Lady Irene?
In her mind, she knows they care for her the way she cares for them. They had known her so long before even discovering she had godhood hidden away inside her. But there are times now that they look at her differently. Speak about her as a weapon, a savior, a means of tipping the scales against their enemies.
And as this goes on, Aphmau begins to understand how Lady Irene lost touch with her humanity. She understands why she locked her memories away in order to experience life as a different person entirely.
The only question is if she can do it again...

thinking abt the meifwa and werewolf marriage plot in season two and it makes me actually violently ill its a very VERY random plot point but i cannot stop thinking abt it
like you get drugged by a purple haired meifwa . Wake up NAKED in a cold ass cell. Where’s your other guard?? Oh he’s with the purple haired meifwa who’s trying to COME ON to him as if she didn’t drug him (I FEEL LIKE THIS IS SOMETHING NO ONE TALKS ABT LIKE THATS SO SCARY? Waking up and it’s just you with some random chick????) but he keeps rejecting her advances so she sets him up to DIE?? THE FLIPPP!?!!!
#actually one of the plots aphmau made thats made a permanent home in my head#i wish they kept it on for longer or gave it some more light but i really liked that plot point

I will always be mad that Leona ended up as a glorified babysitter, she deserved better solely because of her kinda fucked up origin
Some notes below
Regardless of who her father is I imagine that she is TALL, like mid 7 foot range which is a little funny when she stands next to her mother because I headcanon Kiki to be like 5 foot 6 max
Because Kiki and Brendan have no given last name I'm giving Leona the last name Dubois, which I know is french (the horror) but I think the meaning would make sense for her family
She is very well mannered which is funny since I think she was literally raised in a barn and that includes taking care of her hair and her fur, she had to find a lot of old books on Werewolf physiology to help her though plus whatever Kiki could tell her because of where Kiki was raised.
I imagine Leona has a massive sweet tooth and the fact that she can't have chocolate like EVER makes her so sad

I love Leona so much too bad i don't have a solid concept as to how I visualize and want her story to go
#leona mcd#aphmau wrote her in like 3 different ways that are all so split from one another#shes really formal when she was introduced she speaks like a some posh british kid it doesnt fit at all#her becoming a babysitter is lack of what she could be but i think its an alright concept for her its just that her personality doesnt feel-#leona who in my mind is a very outgoing but stubborn girl but isnt exactly the way jess wrote her

Alexis’s new Armor
anyways, Alexis wanting to show off her new drip but her parents are having war flashbacks.
The only way this scenario would happen would be Alexis never visiting them with her Armor because she hates bringing it back and forth while visiting

Going off my Leona post…
I think I would want to see more of Zane and Kiki’s relationship.
I know the general consensus is that Zane was just using her but like what if he wasn’t?
What if a small part of him did really like her, but he was already so deep into the relic business he wasn’t turning back.
Maybe Kiki was super easy to talk too and was just a fun person to be around. Maybe he confided in her knowing she wasn’t going to tell anyone.
Maybe she told him how simple farm life is and how nice it is just to be around people she loves. Hell maybe she even saw past his very hard exterior and called him on it.
Hell maybe he intended to come back for her if all plans went south. He would do it but you never know.
Would I want there relationship to be canon? Nope but I would love to see a side of Zane and if Kiki who believed that maybe in a other life they could have been together.

Leona sketch’s
Honestly I just wanted to color .. I KNOW IVE BEEN JUST DOING HEADSHOTS ‼️‼️ give me a moment to cook yall.. but anyways for Leona I’m still deciding if I want her to know who her dad is from Kiki or if Kiki’s just been holding it off, either way Garroth knows that Leona is his niece. Whether you agree or not , Garroth did at one point cared for his brother Zane ofc so seeing his daughter who is almost identical to him nice and sweet just says how their up bringing was. I would like to believe when Garroth came back from the Irene dimension that he trained Leona. I am tempted to draw Zianna meeting Leona via Kiki’s request to Garroth. (( I might draw my next Gen ocs next post just cause I like Leona’s relationship with her siblings )
