When I was growing up, I was taught to be lady like and respectful, but certain things have gotten to a point where I can no longer hold my tongue. This is where I speak up about environmental issues, social issues, personal discourse and hopefully my solutions. Stay, don't stay. Read, don't read. Just do what you need to do even if that is nothing at all.

Why We Needed Trump
Before you jump down my throat and recount all of the terrible things he has done, hear me out.
Trump promised to drain the swamp. Well, as the Mueller investigation continues on, I would say that the swamp is being drained. Roger Stone, Paul Manafort, and Michael Cohen are just some of the people to be drained. Even though many of these people were initially hired by Trump, I think that the chances of our next president (hopefully not Trump) being so corrupt are very unlikely. He’s raising awareness to the true depth of scandal that can breed within our government.
He is also raising awareness of many social issues. Prior to his reign, I had no idea how many ‘friends’ of mine were racists. It is preposterous. His blasphemy has erased all doubt that racism is still an issue that needs to be dealt with in America. He has brought all of the people who are against true equality out of the wood work.
The #MeToo movement also started during his presidency. People who have held secrets for years decided to let them out. I know it had a lot to do with the courage of the people involved, but I bet it helped that the president was saying it is a scary time for men in America. He is unconsciously bringing social change.
(I say unconsciously because I highly doubt that his limited vocabulary is accompanied by mindfulness and social awareness)
If raising awareness about racism and gender inequality isn’t enough, then what about all of the people trying to mitigate his actions. Young adults are becoming interested in politics to make sure this doesn’t happen again. Individual states and companies are making their own environmental initiatives to prevent further destruction of our environment. People are realizing that they have their own power to make real changes because they can’t rely on Trump.
