Soulmates || Neteyam X f!Reader
Summary: They were made, by Eywa, to be one. But, death is always lingering.
Genre: Angst, death
Neteyam and Y/N were close, finding eachother dear. Ever since the Sullys' arrival, Neteyam and Y/N had been, in ways, inseperable, much to their parents confusion. Almost instantly, they clicked. Like two lost souls finally united, as if they'd known each other for centuries gone by and maybe, they did. Eywa works in peculiar ways and she knows all.
If anyone asked Neteyam whom he trusted most, with his life and heart, he would say "Y/N" with not an ounce of doubt. And for Y/N, it was the same. Their hearts were one.
Yet, even as they gazed longingly from opposite sides of the room or whispered every secret, leaving their souls bare, willing to be their purest form with one another, their relationship lingered between the threshold of friendship and romance. They stood, at the very tip of that cliff, waiting for that last push, the smallest hint of something more. And they would wait, for as long as Eywa willed.
---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---
"Go, warn the Tulkun!" Tonowari's order rang in Y/N's ears, the world shaking around her. The sky people had begun their claim on the reef, starting with the Tulkun - with brothers and sisters.
"Neteyam...Neteyam, I'm scared." Y/N choked out, fear engulfing her and sadness weeping throughout her body.
"Y/N, it is okay. Come, Lo'ak is leaving." Neteyam urged, pulling her arm as worry seeped through his being. Worry for his brother and for the love that he was yet to utter.
"No, you must go. I have to warn my spirit sister. You go. Go!" She exclaimed, pushing off Neteyam's arm. Y/N noticed the concern painted on his face and all she could do to provide any comfort was place a chaste kiss on his cheek and a reassuring smile, promising him her safety. With a final glance, he turned and chased after his brother.
"Great Mother, protect him!"
---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---
No. No, no, no! Please be okay! Great Mother, please.
The same words repeated in Y/N's mind as she spotted the Sullys stood on a piece of stone and a familiar figure laid on the land. Eyes widened and breath rapid, she swam as fast as her ilu would take her and jumped onto land.
When she saw Neteyam, a hole through his chest and blood seeping out, she screamed. Grief wrecked her and an ache so painful soared through her body. Her eyes stung with tears, following a burning path down her face. Heart racing and a deafening pounding in her ears, she reached for him.
"Y/N?" Neteyam muttered, questioning what he could not see.
"I'm here, Neteyam. I'm with you." Y/N answered. Now, all she could hear and see was him, her attention completely stolen by the boy who held her heart in his hands.
"I...You need...to know..." Neteyam's breathing became erratic and even as Y/N begged him to be quiet, to save his energy, he continued. "I see...you. Y/N, I see you."
"Oh Neteyam, please!" Her heart clenched, her breathing halted and all that she could feel was agony, a suffering clawing its way up her throat as she let out another shout. This confession wasn't meant to happen like this, not when death was knocking.
"Neteyam! Yes, I see you too but please, you can't...not now. Don't die!"
"By Eywa...it was always you. Y/N." He breathed out as his eyes dulled. Death had reached in and taken him. He was gone. And he left behind a broken lover, her soul wailing for his.
Y/N placed a final kiss on Neteyam's lips, feather light and soft as she took holded of his face. She closed his eyes and placed short kisses on them. Then, she grieved for stolen chances and broken promises, but most of all, for the love that she would never forget.
"I see you, Neteyam. I always have."

I see you || Neteyam X Reader
Summary: You want to become friends with a certain Na'vi. Who would have known that your friendship would change completely?
Genre: Fluff, very slight angst
When the Sully Family arrived, you didn't think much of it, or so you told your siblings. You wouldn't lie to yourself and say that seeing Jake Sully, the Toruk Makto, hadn't fascinated you. After all, having grown up with stories about how he united the clans and defeated the Sky People, Jake Sully had become a sort of role model, someone whose strength you coveted.
After a back and forth between Neytiri and Ronal during which Tonowari and Jake wore heavy expressions, the final decision was made. The Sullys would stay and your siblings would help then navigate this new way of life. You were not requested to help seeing as you had a variety of other duties to handle. Being the oldest came with its cons and an overbearing responsibility. However, you could still visit them and make friends once you had the chance. But not now, not when you had a thousand things to take care of.
You walked swiftly past the Sullys towards the ocean and by doing so, caught the attention of a certain Na'vi and his sister.
"Hey, aren't you meant to help us?" Voiced Kiri, eyeing you suspiciously. Neteyam gave her a slight nudge, warning her to stop being rude.
"Sorry, I'm really busy so can't show you around. But my sister and brothers are sure to make you feel welcomed. If you need any help or my siblings give you any trouble, shout for me." You shot them your warmest smile and a slight nod before turning back towards the ocean. Tsireya urged them to follow her but Neteyam continued to watch your figure as you entered the water and called for your ilu, an unreadable expression etched onto his face.
---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---
As the days went by, you had made certain to check up on the Sullys whenever you got the chance, bringing an occasional gift when you could. Jake seemed to have warmed up to you somewhat but Neytiri, well, it was a work in progress.
From what Tsireya had told you, the children were learning quickly. Their riding ability had improved greatly aswell as how long they could remain underwater. Whenever she gave you the daily news, you noticed how she spoke more of Lo'ak and how a small smile would linger on her lips as she explained how great his breathing had gotten and just how amazing he was. You would have teased her about it but worried that she might stop sharing her day's events so left it for another time.
Besides, who were you to tease her when you yourself had gained an interest in someone? It wasn't anything compared to whatever was going on between her and Lo'ak but you found that you unconsciously watched him during his lessons and that you would wait for Tsireya to speak of him, particularly finding interest in his improvement more so than others. What you found most interesting was how he would catch your gaze and how he seemed to always been near when you worked near the beach or in the ocean. Maybe it was time to go make a friend.
---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---
The next day, you were swimming around in the ocean, wanting a moments rest from your father's demands and your mother's heavy gaze. You closed your eyes and just enjoyed the peace that the water provided, until a series of shouts and jeers interrupted your brief period of tranquility.
Quickly, you swam to the surface, searching for the source of those annoying squeals and wanting revenge for your ruined peace. You spotted Kiri and Lo'ak being harassed by your brother and his friends and instantly made your way to them. Before you made it onto land to intercept the argument, Neteyam strode to Aonung's side, pushing him back.
"You heard what she said. Leave them alone." He spoke, a protective aura surrounding him.
"Ah, big brother come-" Aonung signalled his friend to stop, raising his hands up in surrender. You didn't expect that, after all your brother was always itching for a fight. Neteyam had that sort of effect on people, made people want to respect him.
You had thought that would be the end of it and were ready to swim away, opting to forget about seeking revenge on you brother. He was being mature so you'd leave him be as a reward.
However, your moment of pride was short-lived when Lo'ak started a fist fight. This time, Neteyam joined in. You let them fight for a bit, finding it amusing how boisterous they were being and just how stupid it was.
Wiping your grin off your face, you swam to the shore and glared down at their bruised faces. Your disappointed expression was enough to have them stop their kerfuffle.
"Skxawng. Get up." You spat, grabbing an ear and a tail. You exchanged glances with Neteyam who had a bruised lip. He shot you a wary smile to which you smirked. It was time to make a friend.
---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---
After the parents came to learn about the incident and you gave Aonung and Rotxo an earful, you grabbed some medicine and searched for Neteyam. This would be the perfect chance to get to learn more about the strange Na'vi.
The next few days, you spent whatever free time you had with Neteyam. Initially, he seemed surprised and there was a slight awkwardness in the air. But as time went on, your relationship improved and you felt you could honestly call him a friend.
Through short conversations as you made you way to your respective duties and longer ones when the sun was dying and Na'vi resting, you had learned that you two were much more alike than expected. Neteyam, also being the oldest, constantly had the burden of being the golden child and living up to his father's glory to which you could sympathise. When one felt like a disappointment, a failure, the other would be there to offer comfort and advice.
Soon, your friendship seemed to shift. Touches lingered for longer than necessary and were more intimate. A cheesy grin and a warm, bubbly feeling in your stomach lasted long after your meetings. It was a wondeful feeling and yet it worried you. Were you sick or had you not eaten enough?
---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---
One night, you and Tsireya sat in your Marui, a sweet silence in the air and the sound of water swaying beneath you. The feelings that Neteyam left you with were becoming almost to much to bear and so, against your better judgment, you shared your worries with your sister.
"I don't know what is wrong. There is this feeling in my stomach. It's not a good feeling nor a bad feeling. Am I sick, Tsireya?" You inquired. Tsireya turned to you and giggled. A heartfelt giggle as she rolled slightly on the floor.
"My dear sister, I thought you were smarter than this. It is love, of course. Not a sickness." She squeaked, struggling to speak through gasps for air and fits of laughter.
Hearing the word"love" left your mind reeling, a sense of confusion yet relief battling in your head. Love. It made sense. Yes, you were in love. Now, another question arose. Did Neteyam like you?
---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---
For the hours between your conversations, Neteyam was all you could think about it. It got to a point where your quality of work was slipping and your parents had noticed. Rotxo jogged up to you, saying that Tonowari was calling for you and to be careful since he seemed upset. So, you ran to the Marui of the Olo'eyktan.
Between the time of your entrance to the time of your exit, all you heard was disappointment and anger and sheer dissatisfaction from your father. Being the oldest came with its cons.
By the time you left and were walking towards the ocean in need of some solitude, the day had transformed to night. You watched the stars through tears and couldn't help but let out a quiet sob. You let your tears fall, not bothered about your image at this time.
A hand on your shoulder brought you back to reality and quickly, you put distance between yourself and the intruder whilst grabbing the knife at your hip. Seeing Neteyam there, hands up and a worried expression on his face, your calmed down and put the knife away.
He walked towards you, arms outstretched. You walked into his arms, letting yourself cry into his chest as he caressed your head. The both of you stood their, enjoying the peace of night and presence of the other.
Separating, you sat side by side as you told him what had occurred. Just like always, he spoke the perfect words, said in the perfect way and like usual, your heart swelled. It fell into rapid strides as your breath caught in your throat. Why was he always so perfect?
Neteyam looked down at you, eyes glimmering with the night and his bioluminescent freckles dancing on his skin. He looked at you with that smirk, the one that made your heart falter and your eyes widen and you just couldn't breathe. He had successful stolen all of you, from your unconditional love to undivided attention. You were his, even he wasn't yours. But you would take him, have him kneel before you with his heart in his hands, ready for you to take.
You were perceptive enough. You had seen his flushed cheeks at your compliments and caught his stare more often than deemed normal. Even if those weren't indications of his feelings, what would be the point of going through the torture of hiding your feelings? Why willingly force yourself to pretend there was nothing between you two, when there just might be everything?
You turned so you were face to face with Neteyam, a fierce determination burning in your eyes. Grabbing his hands and taking a deep breathe in, you spoke. You spoke words that would change the trajectory of your relationship entirely.
"By Eywa, I have met you and fallen for you. I want your heart to dance with mine. Neteyam, I see you." Saying those words gave you some relief but that was quickly smothered by fear when you heard no reply.
Forcing yourself to look up, you stared into Neteyam's gorgeous yellow eyes flecked with shades of green, an unreadable expression on his face. You cowered under his intense gaze. What was he thinking?
His hands suddenly left yours as they cupped your cheeks, a lovesick grin appearing. He ducked his head and lay his forehead against yours.
"I thank Eywa for the gift she has given me in the form of you. I see you."
"Can I kiss you, again?"
You broke out into a wide smile, a wave of happiness and excitement flooding you.
"You scared me for a second there. I thought you were going to reject me." You whispered, hands falling to his chest as your tried, failed to bite back a smile.
"Sorry, I was making sure it wasn't a joke. I guess I should make it up to you, for the scare?"
He grazed his finger against your lip, eyes meeting yours in question. You were more than happy to oblige.
With a fervent nod, your lips interlocked in a sweet, slow kiss. It was soft and gentle yet burning with a passion that took hold of your entire being. One of his hands reached behind your head and another at your thigh, massaging the flesh there. It was pure and complete bliss - perfect.
Separating from the kiss, you stared into his eyes, witnessing your future in them and wanting nothing more.
"As many times as you want."
How perfect.

Ink on Wrists || Harry Potter X F!Reader
Summary: You find out who your soulmate is on your 16th birthday. When the time comes, you have mixed bittersweet emotions. Malfoy!Reader
Genre: Soulmate au, fluff
Warnings: Slight swearing
---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---
The world is as bizarre as it is fascinating.
How bizarre that from birth till death, the world orders that we find our "other half". How fascinating that we, who are made of celestial stars and galactic dust, obey it's command.
How bizarre that, although the world consistes of billions of beings, everyone finds their fated pair. How fascinating that, somehow, on one's 16th birthday, they would learn the name of their fated without fail. How bizarre. How fascinating.
---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---
It was safe to say that the idea of soulmates irked me. I refuse to allow love to be belittled to a name on someone's wrist. Strange, huh? The word "love" rolling off a Malfoy's tongue in a positive light. Well, "love" is something that I hold great importance to and it's not going to be someone that I've been assigned to like a group project.
"Morning, 'Mione!" Another thing that separates me from the Malfoy name - having a close relationship with a "mudblood".
"Good morning, Y/N! How were your lessons this morning?" Hermione Granger had become one of my best friends after a Potions project back in first year. She was my escape from my uptight, "cold" Slytherin persona. In her presence, I was loud and rambunctious, a freedom I was never afforded as a Malfoy.
We spoke about the day's events, her most recent muggle book that she was reading, my 5 arguments with Draco and everything in between.
"Oh, I completely forgot. It's your 16th birthday soon. Excited to learn your soulmate's name?"
"Hermione, when have I ever wanted to know their name?" I grumbled at her remark. My birthday was getting frighteningly close and I wasn't one bit excited.
"Oh c'mon Y/N. I know you don't--"
"Hey, 'Mione! We've been looking for you everywhere." She was abruptly cut off by Ronald Weasley shrieking across the field. As he jogged closer, Harry Potter at his heels, his face adorned a heavy scorn. "And you're with Malfoy."
"What do you want, Ron?" She said, squeezing my hand.
Although I was quite close with Hermione, I was not at all close with the other two Golden Trio members. Harry Potter and I had been on good terms for a while before he abruptly decided he wanted nothing to do with me for whatever reason. Now, he mainly just ignored me and I ignored him. On the other hand, Ron disliked, no, despised me. I didn't understand why. My brother may have bullied him and his friends but I never spoke ill of him, not even in private. Yet, he hated me.
Weasley sneered at me before turning to Hermione.
"Me and Harry need help on some homework."
"Harry and I, Ron. Harry and I." Hermione sighed. "When's it due?"
Ron and Harry instantly looked towards one another, almost urging the other to speak.
"It's due tomorrow, isn't it?" Shaking her head, she grapped her bag and stood up.
Hermione looked so tired and stressed. After all, she had spent a good portion of the week perfecting her Charms homework and studying for the upcoming exams. Seeing her looking so grim sparked some determination in me.
"Um, I don't mind helping." They all whipped their heads towards me, wide-eyed and mouths agape.
"Y/N, you really don't have to."
"Yh, we don't need your help."
---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---
Here I was, in the Griffindor Common Room, sat between Harry Potter and Hermione Granger working on Herbology. It was by far the most awkward experience. Hermione was trying her best to just get the work done, Harry was deathly silent and Ron was shooting snide remarks at me every few seconds. To say I regretted my offer was an understatement.
Not soon enough, we were done and I began packing my things before two determined idiots made their way towards me, Cheshire grins adorning both their faces.
"Where'd you think you're going, Malfoy?"
"To bed. How may I help you, Weasley?"
"It's far too early for bed, don't you think so George?"
"I do, Fred. Why doesn't Malfoy join us for a game before she gets going?"
I rolled my eyes at their shenanigans and tried sliding past them only to be pulled back. I lost my footing and braced for impact but the hard, cold ground never embraced me. Instead, I was whisked into the warmest arms, my head resting on a sturdy chest. I instantly pushed the person away and thanked them profusely.
"No worries." Harry coughed, his face burning red.
"Don't try running away, little mouse. Join us for a game of truth or dare." Ugh, those two were so annoying.
---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---
So here I was, still in the Griffindor Common Room, playing truth or dare with people that I barely knew - some who looked ready to bite my head off.
The game went on for quite a while, some snogging here and there, before it was Ron's turn.
I wasn't paying much attention since I was here against my will and mostly likely would have remained day dreaming if Hermione wasn't next to me. Ron had picked dare which had ended up being "kiss the prettiest person in the room". Unfortunately, Hermione fancied Ron and even more unfortunately so, Ron didn't seem to reciprocate those feelings. So, Hermione was forced to watch as Ron made his way towards some Ravenclaw girl and the two locked lips.
Hermione looked devastated. Words didn't flow out of me like they did Hermione so all I could to provide her any comfort was to pull her in a little closer and hide her away from the scene. Stupid boys.
A few more dares later, it was my turn and when it was, everyone stared at me intensely.
"Y/N, truth or dare?" Asked George.
"Truth." A few people grumbled and rolled their eyes before Fred shut them up with his question.
"Your 16th birthday's the day after tomorrow. Who'd you hope your soulmate is?" He smirked at George, a mischievous twinkle glimmering in their eyes as I instantly blushed.
Those two were well aware about my slight crush on a certain someone. Just a small one. So small that I hadn't even informed Hermione of it. Nevertheless, the two used every opportunity to tease me about it after they had accidentally overheard me talking to myself. Now, because these two just loved seeing me blushing and mumbling, obviously embarrassed, I would have to out that small crush infront of strangers. Wonderful.
I spared a glance at Harry before reaching for the truth serum. He was redder than the Griffindor jumper that he adorned and kept adjusting the fabric around his wrist. Weird.
Just as I reached for the truth serum, a frightened first year came rushing in begging to see me.
"Miss Malfoy, um y-your brother is w-waiting outside." The poor boy looked ready to collapse but, great, I could get out of here and get out of embarrassing myself. I bid a quick farewell to everyone, grabbed my things and nearly ran out of there.
"What the hell were you doing in there?" Draco barked, a distinct frown on his face.
"Don't ask, please. I'm regretting life as is."
---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---
The night came where shiny gold letters would be inscribed onto my wrist, telling me of my fate. I wanted to not care so badly and tried so hard to just sleep since everyone would be pestering me tomorrow. But, the harder I tried, the more I struggled to drift off.
I was just about to fall asleep when I felt a slight burn crawling down my arm. Guess it was time. I sat up and took a deep breath before setting my stare on my wrist.
Painstakingly slow, the letters began gliding onto my skin. H then A then R R and oh no, is this actually happening? When the final dazzling R was written, I was absolutely furious. That bloody cow had known this entire time that I was his soulmate and what had he done with that information? He ignored me.
Was I that undesirable to him? So undesirable that upon finding out it was me who he was going to be stuck with for the rest of this stupid life, he went out of his way to stay away from me. Well, fuck him. It's not like I wanted any of this either.
That night, I went to bed with a heavy heart and angry sorrow cascading down my face. Guess it wasn't a slight crush and I guess I did in fact care about who my soulmate was. Sorry 'Mione.
---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---
"How can she be so pretty this early in the morning?"
"She's a Malfoy. What'd you expect?"
"It's her birthday today, right? Wonder who her soulmate is?"
"Probably some rich, pure-blood Slytherin."
"You seem to be the topic of conversation, once again. The perfect Malfoy." Draco sneered at Blaise's remark.
"She's anything but perfect. All these idiots know nothing. Anyway, you still haven't told me, who's your soulmate?"
"Do I need to?" Pushing my hair back, I sat down and reached for an apple. Everyone around me looked absolutely shocked, mortified even. Draco grabbed the apple from my hands and bit into it.
"Obviously. I told everyone mine so why would you not? Wait, don't tell me it's some ugly Griffindor?"
"No, it's not. Listen, I'll tell you guys. Just not yet." The entire table began moaning and pestering me. Pansy even tried to grab my wrist and wrip off the fabric covering it. Rolling my eyes at her antics, I got up and set out for my first class.
---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---
For some reason, I saw more of Harry Potter than ever before. I saw him in the hallways on the way to classes, during some of my classes, during lunch and even in the library after lessons were over. That little rat was everywhere now. Each time we crossed paths, he would bore his eyes into my soul, almost provoking me to confront him and each time, I would glare at him, reminding him that this was his doing. If he wanted to say something, he'd have to come forward first. I too could play his bloody game.
After the day was over, all my friends had gathered outside for a small birthday party. It was more like a picnic if anything but I had an enjoyable time nonetheless. Firewhiskey had of course been snuck in and so, by the end of the night, everyone's faces were tinted red and pink. I hated the taste, thus stayed away from any drinking. Whilst everyone was eating and acting like idiots, I slipped away amid the chaos. I decided to go for a short walk to clear my head and forget all about Harry and soulmates and just focus on how pretty the night was.
I found a bench and sat down to admire the gorgeous moon and twinkling stars. Everything seemed so perfect up there. Beauty all around and the silent cacophony to lull you to slumber. What an easy life we had as galactic dust shimmering between planets and stars, and yet we forgoed such content for these dull adventures of misery and despair.
Just as I was beginning to nod off to the night's opera, a familiar scent invaded my senses and a familiar deep red colour made its way into view. Stood infront of me was Harry fucking Potter, hands playing with lose threads and eyes looking everywhere but at mine.
"Can I help you, Potter?" I spat, venom lacing every word. He finally looked at me and I couldn't help but think how absolutely gorgeous he looked with the moon's glimmer outlining his physique. Sucking in a breath, I looked over his messy hair, soft lips and sturdy chest, letting my eyes rest on his gentle blue ones. He looked ethereal. Wait, what was I thinking?
"Y/N, I know you're pissed right now but please just hear me out, ok?" He sucked in a breath, half-lidded eyes looking down at me with the softest expression. So this is what having a soulmate was like.
"Harry, look I really don't want to have to deal with your stupidity on my birthday. I get it, you didn't want me as ur soulmate--" Panicking, he tried to cut me off but I refused to falter. "What was her name, Cho? Cho Chang? I get that your into her and I'm not planning on you know, ruining that for you."
"Y/N, that's not--"
"Let me finish. I won't do anything but, whilst I hate to admit it, it was upsetting to basically be told that you don't want me and that I'm not good enough, you know? It would have been nice had you come forward and said something earlier."
"That's what I'm trying to explain here. I'm not rejecting you by any means. I just...you don't understand it yet since you just got your mark, but every time I came near you, this tingly sensation would come over me and...and just being around you took my breathe away." With every word he said, he inched closer. I could barely believe my ears, my mouth agape and eyes wide.
"I fancied you before all this, but once I found out you were mine by fate, my feelings just increased tenfold." He sighed. "I don't know where I'm going with all this but I wanted you to know about how I felt. I didn't want you thinking I hated being your soulmate."
Once that last word had slipped past his lips, he shot me a shy smile. Harry's cheeks were tinted a quiet pink and his eyes sparkled mischievously. At this point, my heart had ceased its relentless patter in favour of just not working at all. My breath had left me with just my thoughts and Harry's words tingling down my spine.
Without a second thought, I shot up off the bench and clashed my lips against his in a messy kiss. Nevertheless, it was perfect. I felt his arms move around me and pull me into the sweetest embrace. He tasted of cinnamon and hot cocoa whilst the scent of firewood burnt my senses. I could remain here for all eternity, I had thought.
Separating, our foreheads leaned against one another.
"So...uh...are we okay now?" I giggled.
"You wish. If you want to fully make it up to me, you're going to have to take me out on a date."
"I think I can do that."
He sat down on the bench, pulling me down onto his lap. As his chin rested on my head, I glanced once more at the serenading sky.
"Thank you." I whispered to fate and turned back to destiny's gift for me. Maybe soulmates weren't all that bad. Sorry 'Mione.

Your Freckles || Camilo x Reader
---♡---♡---♡---♡------♡---♡---♡---♡---♡---
It had been a sunny day, signaling that Pepa was in a good mood. This was quite a rare event so you had planned to use it to the fullest.
You had gone on a walk, read a book under a large tree, ran some errands, made yourself some lunch and eaten it in a nearby field just as the clock struck 2. The day had been quite peaceful but you couldn't help but feel that something was missing. That there was something really important that you hadn't done yet. But what?
"Y/N! Mi amor!" Camilo cried as he grabbed your waist, covering your face in kisses. That's what you were missing.
"Hello, mi vida. How has your day been?" You said as you pulled him along with you to a nearby tree. He sat down, forcing you into his lap as he peppered even more kisses along your neck.
"Great now that I'm with you." He hummed. You giggled at his words, finding him so adorable.
You turned in his lap, placing your legs on either side of his. After asking if he had any more chores, to which he responded with a no, the two of you spent the following hour or so together. You had shared what your day had consisted of, how everything was and just about everything else. Half way through, your hands had reached up into his hair, massaging his scalp. This had obviously had an effect on him as his eyes shut and his breathing slowed. If it wasn't for his muttering and mumbles, you would have thought he was asleep.
"My dear, would you please raise you head. I wanna look at your face." You asked. Camilo instantly obliged and looked up at you with half-lidded eyes.
You scanned every feature, admiring his beauty before your eyes landed on his freckles. Oh, those absolutely gorgeous freckles that made ur heart race. He stared at you with so much love and adoration as your hand began to trace them. You connected them as you told him what constellation they made. Camilo just listened and nodded, absolutely awe-struck. His face flushed at the way you looked at him.
"Mi cielo, you make me the happiest." You hummed in glee at his words as you leaned down to plant a kiss against his nose.
"As do you, my love."

Sorry || Camilo X Reader
"Do not worry, mi vida. I am 100% sure that everyone will absolutely adore you. Just as much as I do."
The day had arrived. The day that you would be meeting with Camilo's family. After dating for a year, Camilo had invited you over for dinner. Initially, you had been so excited, but as the day got closer and closer, your nerves began to bloom.
"You've been saying that for the past hour, my dear. But what if they don't like my clothes or they think I speak weird or I embarass myself or even worse, what if I offend th-" He cut you off with a kiss. It was sweet and short but helped you calm down ever so slightly.
"First of all, you look absolutely gorgeous in that dress. Second, you speak like an angel. You're so respectful and your voice is so calming. Finally, even if you embarrass yourself, that isn't gonna make my family hate you. Accidents happen, mi amor."
You nodded, his words aiding in helping you relax. Clasping his hand, you walked with him to Casita and hoped that everything went well.
Once you arrived, you were greeted by a thunderstorm sticking out the top of the house. It worried you slightly but with one look at Camilo, you were ready to enter.
As soon as you walked in, you saw Pepa wearing a worried expression as Felix tried his best to calm her. Once her eyes landed on you, the thunderstorm was instantly replaced with a rainbow. This surprised you slightly but what shocked you more was the way she hurried over and pulled you into a hug. As she let go, she planted a kiss on Camilo's cheek which in turn made the boy blush in embarrassment.
"Welcome to Casita. We're so happy to have you here." She sang. Felix nodded affirmatively, patting his son.
"Thank you so much for having me." You said, handing them a bag. Pepa eyed you curiously as she reached into the bag. She looked confused at what she found. In her hand were some butterfly pea teabags.
"Oh, um, Camilo had mentioned before that you can get really stressed and anxious and butterfly pea tea is really calming. So I thought I could bring some for you. I'm so sorry if I overstepped."
She hushed you with another big hug, thanking you for your thoughtfulness. Camilo watched, a large smile forming on his face.
You told Felix and Pepa that there was something else in the bag and so they reached in. Their eyes shone with happiness and excitement at the music box in hand. They opened to see mini versions of themselves holding each other, dancing to an angelic song. As the song came to it's end, Felix walked towards Camilo and patted him on the back.
"She's perfect, hijo. Care for her and never let her go." He whispered. Camilo nodded and thanked his papa.
For the rest of the time until dinner was ready, you introduced yourself to Camilo's cousins and siblings. You knew Mirabel quite well, having been that the both of you were quite artistic and bonded well over the matter. Antonio absolutely fell in love with you on sight, finding you to be the sweetest person ever and after you told him you loved animals, he was overjoyed and introduced each of his animal friends.
Then, it was time for dinner. You took your seat next to Camilo, tightening your grip on his hands as his Abuela walked in. You found her quite scary and especially after hearing about her high expectations, you were extremely worried she wouldn't like you.
As everyone was taking their seats, Bruno stumbled in. Upon spotting him, you let out a little shout of glee and waved to him. He responded with his own little wave and smile.
"Y/N. Let me guess, you're Camilo's lover? Welcome to the family." He said. You and him had been quite close after his return. You went to his tower for a prophecy and hadn't recived the best one, him predicting that your cat would die. He had half expected you to cry and scream at him but you only hugged him, thanked him for telling you and left. You went to visit him again, not for a prophecy but just because you were curious about the rat man and from then on you'd been great friends. Seeing you hand in hand with his nephew made him overjoyed. You were perfect together and he hoped Camilo would never let you go.
"So, Y/N, what do you do?" Abuela inquired. You gulped and began your response. "I craft different things, like music boxes, ornaments, pottery. Things like that."
Her eyes narrowed at your response, making you shiver. Camilo was quick to place his hand on your thigh, giving it a reassuring squeeze.
"And your parents? What do they do?"
You answered her question as politely as you could and all the rest that came after. As dinner was coming to its end, the elderly woman shook her head. She looked at Camilo, her eyes filled with disappointment.
"Camilo, I can't even begin to explain how disappointed I am. With the way you speak of her, I was expecting someone better. She's not good enough for you." Your eyes watered at her words as you gripped onto the fabric of your dress. Camilo was quick to stand infront of you, shielding you from his Abuela.
"Abuela, what do you mean? She's perfect for me. If she's not good enough then no one is."
"Camilo, you could do so much better. You're a Madrigal and she...There are so many better girls in the village."
"Mama, how could you say that?" It was Pepa's turn to stand in your defence. She saw the way Camilo looked at you and the way you looked at him. You treated him with so much love and adoration that when he came home, all he was thinking of was you. She saw how happy you made not only her son, but Antonio as well. Dolores seemed to like you to. She just wanted her children to be happy.
"Abuela, I don't care what you think of Y/N. She's my soulmate and no other woman makes me as happy as she does." He stated. He grabbed your wrist, practically dragging you away from the dining table.
"I'm so sorry, mi amor. I don't know why she said all of that." He caressed your face, one hand grabbing your waist.
"She's right. You could do so much better." Her words had sunk deep into you and now you struggled to see why Camilo would ever want to be with you.
"No, I couldn't. You're so perfect and make me so happy. Who cares about what she thinks? You're all I want." He leaned your face towards his, wiping the tears that rolled down your face. His lips met yours as he kissed you. He poured all his heart and love into that one kiss, wanting you to know that all he wanted, needed, was you.
As he broke the kiss, his forehead leaned against yours. "No matter what anyone says, you'll forever be the one for me, mi vida. I love you." He whispered. This time it was you who kissed him, promising to be by his side forever.
Pepa and Felix watched the scene unfold. Yes, you were the one for their son. They would protect you at all cost even if that meant going against Abuela's wishes.

Heyy, I hope you enjoyed. I am open to all criticism :))
