Some half-have finished art of my WoL that I gave up on. Maybe some day I'll go back and finish them. Probably not! But I guess it's better than having them sit in purgatory forever.

Drew my characters for this years Artfight. They're both FFXIV OCs because I am devoid of creativity this year. Haven't been posting here as much recently. Art block's been kinda bad, but maybe I'll try to pile together some scraps worth sharing later.

Some witches for Halloween. (I’m not late, you’re late.) Might color the first one at some point, unsure if I’ll touch up the second one, though. The proportions are a bit off, but I like the pose so maybe I’ll give it a shot.

Terrible old man, past and present. 

Still trying to find a way to stylize him that I actually like, I feel like not including his gross, corpselike sunken in eyes and cheeks is doing his design a disservice, but I’ve had zero luck drawing it so far by just winging it. Hey, at least I colored something this time.

forcing myself to post more even though I forgot how to draw ):  FFXIV drawing dump of varying quality. Looking at all these drawings I’ve done throughout the past few months, it’s actually a little baffling how different my art looks depending on the headspace I’m in. I guess that’s not really too uncommon among artists, but I do wonder what allows me to suddenly bang out a drawing with decent anatomy and line weight in just a few hours versus most days where I’m slogging and struggling to produce anything.

PS Azem was definitely a Blue Mage who would spit sardines at people for fun, my mind will not be changed on this.

First drawing I’ve finished in several months and it’s a meme so dead that it’s actually beginning to decay. Priorities. I am lowkey proud of the ascian sigil in the second image, though. Took me all goddamn day to make.

Figured I might as well draw my Warrior of Light and/or Darkness. Emet-Selch is there too because I think he’s just dandy. Need to draw more of him for sure.

Productivity’s been super low all year, especially these past few months. I haven’t really “finished” any art in quite some time, but I figured I should at least post some of the sketches I’ve done, even if I’m not super proud of them.

I haven’t had much luck completing any “real” drawings recently, but I have managed to get myself to at least doodle a bit. Better than nothing, right?  Been playing a fair amount of FF14 again, it’s a game I come back to every now and then. I finished Shadowbringers and liked it quite a bit, hence the collection of scribbles you see above. Can’t help but feel the King Slime Crown that I refused to take off at any point may have ruined the impact of a few cutscenes, though...

Matcha again. It's just a cleaned up sketch that I wound up coloring, but it's one of the first drawings I've managed to complete in a few months. It's pretty similar to my most recent drawing of her, pose-wise, but I think it turned out better overall. I also drew it in SAI2 instead of CSP this time. CSP is amazing, but SAI's marker brush keeps dragging me back with its sweet, seductive whispers, time and time again.

Artist's block (do people call it that?) has been pretty rough recently, it's been difficult to get myself to study for whatever reason, which means I've been regressing a bit, and on top of that, whenever I do manage to end up studying, I always worry that I might be, like, doing it wrong, or something. Not to mention I've been getting this guilty feeling whenever I don't draw something that pushes me out of my comfort zone (interesting perspective or poses, for example) and it feels like a waste of time. The end result is usually me just staring at my blank canvas for hours, hoping my picture will just magically draw itself.

At least I managed to get something out this time, first time in a while it's felt good to just... draw what I always draw, in the same way I always draw it. I think that's okay to do sometimes. (SORRY FOR THE WALL OF TEXT LOL)

BONUS FACT: Her name is Matcha, but by some horrible twist of fate, her favorite kind of tea is actually masala chai. Life is often cruel, and hers is no exception.

Tried designing a new character, kind of remixing an old, scrapped design for a different one that I have. Not thrilled with how the weapons look, but its a start. Colors are decent, I think. May alter the gloves and boots a bit more next time I end up drawing her, I think they look too similar to Woman.png’s right now. (I give my OCs good names, don’t deny it.)
