okay other ships are great but there is truly nothing that can stand against watching a being as old as time with the angelic power of the cosmos reach out and rest a healing hand against the face of the man he loves and breaking through every order and every command that’s been inside him for millennia. like you mean to tell me that there is anything more romantic than that ??? anything more than castiel, a being of unfathomable power, choosing to reach out and use touch and feel dean to heal him over and over again even when we know it’s not necessary ??? i will never get over it and i will never be sane because there is nothing that even comes close to that in other ships im sorry but like the very touch of him corrupts and from that first second he was lost and he feel in love with humanity because he fell in love with dean and with every gentle and healing touch made with a soldiers hands he pours that love into deans skin and hmmnnngnng

I think the funniest thing about Dean and Cas has got to be that they were in a relationship for years yet none of them seemed to realize that. That is objectively quite hysterical.

Watching my first watch through of SPN ever. I’m on season 9 and as someone who has been on tumblr since ancient times but didn’t actually get in to it, I think everyone DOWNPLAYED how crazy Destiel is. How did veterans survive that….. It’s just. What. What am I watching. Why does Deans voice get SOFT when he talks to Cas particularly??? Why did Dean ditch Sam to watch Cas at the supermarket???? I think because of the meme I was convinced it was cas who was the one obviously in love but. No. It’s Dean. And it’s embarrassing for him. This is crazy but Destiel fans weren’t crazy y’all were on to something all this time…..

Its insane to me that Dean’s first priority is get Lucifer out of Cas’s vessel while Sam’s first priority is kill the Darkness regardless of the vessel. And Sam is SHOCKED when they differ on that. The show was not slick about parallels between Sam and Cas’s relationship vs. Dean and Cas’s relationship.

supernatural, at its core, is about how family can motivate you to do the impossible, to go against the narrative, to fight god himself for your freedom. which is why it feels like getting spit on the face when dean dies young and sam lives the white picket fence life. their ending is the same as their beginning. after all their progress, they regressed.
