Truman is 6 and Stevie is 2!

How did that happen? You are both such divine characters - I don’t know what we did to deserve you.

Truman is the best big brother ever. He’s currently into football, asking dad 300000 football related questions a day, sometimes in the middle of the night. He’s also into Rubik’s cubes and Pokémon, which is funny because that’s what dad and I were into at about the same age. He’s very particular about his clothes and especially fussy about his trainers. He’s growing his hair long and he’s big and strong… basically, an all round cool kid.

Stevie is a cheeky, gorgeous firecracker with a passion for parties. She declares that it’s her birthday most days, and takes us through all the things that mean birthdays in her mind: “birrday cake! Hats! Bloons! Pardy flags! Dancing!” She’s a mummy’s girl through and through, but also loves her daddy and “trumum” with all her heart. She doesn’t like to go to anyone else yet, although she’ll warm up to a select few (family + Julie + Hattie) after a while. Some of the things she’s saying:

“turn!” (When she wants a go at something)

“bit more”

“other one” (boo-boos)

“hap birrrday dooo meeee”

“Go home” instead of go out and “back my house” instead of go home

“okay mummy?” Very nurturing little soul! “lovey car nana! I love ee car” when we were driving to stanmer park in Nana’s Nissan Leaf the other day

“my do it self!” “who’s dat mummy?” this can be directed at people and inanimate objects

”vulva shark do do dooo” when she rewrote the lyrics to baby shark 😅

And so much more! Life with you two is so hilarious xxx

I always wondered how I'd be able to love anyone as much as Truman. Then you were born and it was as if you'd been in my life all along, and my heart had always been big enough for both of you. I still can't believe how lucky I am to be your mother. I love you so much it hurts xxxxxx

2020!

So much has happened this year. We've lived through a global pandemic, Truman has started school and STEVIE has been born! We are so happy to be a family of four now. She is the happiest little soul and we love her with all our heart. Truman is a really kind and gentle big brother. He has also settled in amazingly well at school, and is flying ahead with his reading and making all sorts of wonderful things. His new best friend is called Sohan and Truman thinks he's the funniest person EVER!

It’s Christmas Eve 2019, and you’ve just turned 4! Marth showed you the real sleigh bell that she got from Father Christmas when she was little, and you said “OH. MY. ABSOLUTE. GOODNESS. I am blowed over.”
