Dog Days

This was another of the winning packs for my Simstaversary commission giveaway earlier in the year! I don't think they've been used yet so I'll keep the winner anonymous again. Pack contains 6 paired poses for a Sim and a large dog - no all-in-one for this pack, since there are multiple objects used and it seemed kinda pointless.

Speaking of multiple objects: this is a somewhat complicated pack! My apologies!

Poses 1 & 2 require a loveseat (works best with the Squarely There Modern Loveseat, basegame). Just place your teleporters in the middle of the seat.

Poses 3 & 4 require any double bed AND these CC pillows. Place your teleporters in the middle of the bed.

Poses 5 & 6 are to be used with a swimming pool. HUGE thank you to @simmireen for letting me copy her placement - it was super generous and I couldn't have done it without her!! Turn the grid on and place your teleporters in the middle of the square at the edge of the pool (see graphic for further explanation).

Also! I shared these screenshots on Bsky yesterday because I thought they were cute, but it turns out that you can't take these low angle pool shots without the camera mod I use by Buckley. I've had in my game for the last 3 years so didn't realise! Do yourself a favour and add it - it makes it so much easier to get those good angles for your pictures.

Seated Emotions - Negative

Yes! Posting again ALREADY because I'm determined to release as many of my finished packs as I can before the year is out. 🤣 I have packs dating back to January that I haven't shared yet and I want them all gone.

Today's pack is a selection of seated poses that I made over the last few months for my story. They're a mix of table/no table (the no table ones can be used with a table, ofc, but there may be some clipping with hands) and mostly negative emotions because apparently that's what I make. I've also converted them for children to use too!

Teleporters go in the middle of the chair for all poses. If you're using them with a chair that's snapped to a table or desk, you will need to hold down alt while placing them.

Day 3 of whatever this is, and my final share for the Family Collab hosted by @theserenadeofshadows! This was another commission for reeyal_state and I actually only made it a couple weeks ago, but they very kindly said it could be released ahead of my usual 1 month hold. 🙏 Thank you!

Pack contains 8 poses for a child and teen/adult sibling (teen Sims use the same rigs as adults) plus all-in-ones. I guess you could also use it with a kid and an elder if you have a particularly badly behaved grandpa. For the bed poses, just place two teleporters in the middle of any double bed.

How do you make your plus sized sims actually look plus sized? Whenever I use the in-game sliders they just end up looking pregnant 😭

I totally know what you mean, the sliders that come with the Sims aren't the most fat-friendly. One of the best ways I've been able to combat this in the base game is to also widen the hips, torso, and shoulders to at least balance the round belly look out a bit. I also like to widen the arms and legs at every place that is an available option, expand the chest slightly, and also widen the neck.

The other way that helps a lot is using various cc, sliders, and body presets. I like to use belly masks that make the stomachs look a lot more realistic. There's also sliders that can give sims love handles, double chins, and more.

This is one of my favorite lists I have seen on this topic (sadly the creator has deactivated, but it still exists in the tumblr archive!)

This Reddit thread also has a lot of awesome resources that may help you.

This is a great list of body presets you can download that provide a lot more body variation and provide access to new sliders in CAS!

This is another great masterlist that includes a detailed section on cc clothing that doesn't clip or glitch on fat sims.

The Sims is unfortunately not very plus-size friendly, as far as games go. Hopefully, these resources will help you to make some more realistic fat sims! If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Thank you for being part of a push for a more inclusive game and community!

Vet Visit

A large-ish pack! These are some vet poses that I made for a crossover post in my story, when my Sims had to take their new puppy to the vet (@truecolorssims lovely Jasper!!). I also added some random puppy-related poses that I'd made for previous scenes and hadn't uploaded anywhere.

Pack contains 5 solo poses for a puppy with an injured foot, 4 poses for a child holding a puppy, 2 trio poses for child/adult/puppy, and 3 poses for a vet treating a puppy on the exam table, plus all-in-ones.

Notes: when using the poses with the exam table, the puppy will not be visible once teleported in. In order to pose them you need to lower your camera angle and zoom in until the exam table disappears, and then you'll be able to see the puppy and click on them. Also, the pose where the puppy is licking its foot has mixed results depending on the breed used and there may be clipping... I was going to delete it, but left it in so you can choose to use or discard. 🤷
