Troy Irvine Is a Well-Known Edward Jones Financial Adviser Based In Albert Lea
The Edward Jones firm has been encouraging financial advisers to have their own individual offices to give a personal feel to clients, rather than combine several advisers into one location.
Troy Irvine, who started working for Edward Jones 17 years ago in Mankato, is currently running an Edward Jones office in Albert Lea. Unlike him, his brother, Andrew Irvine is relatively new in the business and has been running a separate Edward Jones office in town since 5 years. So, instead of just one Edward Jones financial adviser in town with the last name of Irvine, there are two: Troy and Andrew Irvine. So, does that bring a sense of competition between the two? Well, this is what Troy said during one of his interviews back in 2013 when Andrew just started out in the business.
“It’s fun to share in the business with him and have him be a part of it,” Troy Irvine said. “If you can pick your competition, it’s kind of nice to do that.” In 2013, he moved from his former location in Northbridge Mall to the address on Main Street in November, and Andrew took over the mall office.
Andrew too has been busing growing his business in town and serving the growing clientele. “It’s been fun getting acquainted with a lot of new clients,” Andrew said during an interview when he just started his office.
He also shared that Troy Irvine and Alex Johnston, another Edward Jones financial adviser in Albert Lea, have been recruiting him for Edward Jones since junior high. He said he got the opportunity to move to Albert Lea and work with Johnston for a while, and then in November, he started his own office.

Troy Irvine Is the Father of Max Irvine Who Got Hugely Popular As a Keto Kid Back In 2008-09
Remember the four-year-old Max Irvine who had hundreds of seizures a day until he was put a ketogenic diet? His parents Troy Irvine and Kristine Irvine were told by one epilepsy specialist that their son would become mentally incompetent from his seizures. Thankfully, they did not believe the devastating news and continued with their search for a treatment that could help his son get back to a normal life.
Under the guidance of Mayo Clinic and pediatric neurologist Elaine Wirrell, M.D., the Irvines experienced a miracle. They took Max off all his epilepsy medications and relied on the ketogenic diet to inhibit his seizures. In a CBN News report, Dr. Wirrell explained, "We think it probably stabilizes the nerve cells themselves. By using the high fat, it stabilizes the energy level in the brain, and helps the seizures. There's also some evidence that certain types of fats, polyunsaturated fatty acids, are good for the brain." The approach worked out well and the day Max took his last pill, he did not have another seizure ever again.
Looking to the future, Troy Irvine and Kirstine Irvine expressed how strongly they felt about finding a cure for epilepsy and supporting families that are in similar situations. They took part in the 2009 Stroll for Epilepsy in Rochester with a goal of raising $5,000. The money raised went to the Epilepsy Foundation of Minnesota.
With the help of Mayo Clinic doctors and dietitians and the Epilepsy Foundation of Minnesota, the Irvines also decided to set up a mentoring program for families considering the ketogenic diet as treatment. The mentoring program was named “Max’s Miracle.”
