My wife sent me this comic after kind of a crummy day and omg I can feel it actively changing my brain chemistry I'm going to be thinking about this for WEEKS.

The Angel of D➑uble Death

I'm trying out some more experimental art and I had A LOT of fun with this. It's a combination of an art-style I've been working on spliced in with real images edited for the effect.

Said images I used were a baboon skull as I really fuck with the idea of adult cherubs having more elongated gnarly skulls, as well as these billiards that THANKFULLY worked with the angle of the sockets:

Also, for reference, as I don't think I've formally showed my artstyle on Tumblr, here's my sona I never posted as an example of more of my obsessive stippling.

Canon Hemospectrum palette pisses me off sometimes so I made some small tweaks for my own sprites.

Biggest change is Burgundy and Indigo because Burgundy always felt too close to human/mutant blood, and original Indigo makes me want to punch a wall.

The Handmaid's eyes fucking suck, so I fixed them.

So, not only is the order in which Damara's eyes flash colours kind of suck in general, as it makes them not as striking or identifiable as Lord English's. I had the horrible realization today that she has TWO BLUE EYES and is MISSING ORANGE. She has the right number of different eye colours, being 8, but for some reason has a duplicate and is missing one of the colours. 💀

So I decided to fix it.

This was the first edit I made, all I did was replace one of the blue eyes with an orange eye.

But I still wasn't entirely happy with this, so here's my own version.

Still, the power around her arms tends to bleed into the background, so I made this alt version.

Both to make the colours more visible and make the page a little easier on the eyes, but also as reference to her boss and "foster parent."
