while jasper is the one with the ability to sense other’s emotions; the amount of time they’ve spent together has gifted alice with a seventh sense when it comes to her husband. she can almost feel the doubt emanating from him, and so, she slows down her pace until they’re side to side. “i’m all yours too, babe... i’ve always been yours. there’s no one else better for me than you...” she wraps one of her arms around him, leaning into him gently. making the space between them nonexistent. “so... about that undivided attention...” she whispers once they’re in the changing rooms.

“I know.” Jasper replies, hand moving to rub the nape of his neck, feeling that creep of insecurity and anxiousness once more. He can’t believe that this woman has chosen to spend the rest of her immortal life with him, Jasper cannot fathom what he’s done to deserve it. He shyly smiles, distracting by the flustering emotions he senses from his wife and basks in that instead. “I’m happy to give you my undivided attention. I’m all yours.”

“define overworking.” gianna is teasing, though truth be told - she does not like people worrying about her. that goes for her brother, too, even if the worry comes naturally for him. it’s inevitable she’ll dismiss the notion all together - she doesn’t need to be lectured about how she places far too much on her shoulders. “and what about you, then? are you gonna get a coffee after this at this hour?” her brows raise in amusement, mentally putting on her matching ‘disapproving sibling’ cap. “i appreciate you stopping in, though. i’ve been BORED. how IS nadia, anyways? i haven’t seen her since that winter festival.”

his first reaction is an immediate disapproving frown, old habits die hard and he can’t help but fall back into his more protective side; but, he also understands that she’s an adult now and can take decisions for herself, so any dad-like though is dismissed with a sigh. “at least try to not take on more than you can handle, and if you do give yourself a break from time to time.. okay?” his tone is softer which only shows that he worries because he cares, it has always been like that. he only has her best interest at heart, even if it makes him look like an overprotective older brother ( and up to an extent... he kinda is. ) “you make it sound like i’m doing something outrageous” he chuckles, “coffee actually helps me sleep better, so don’t look at me like that...” his smile widens as she gives him the opportunity to talk about his wife, call it a side effect of being absolutely whipped, he doesn’t mind. “she’s doing great, honestly! work has been a little hectic for her... for both of us actually, we were planning going to visit you and grandma soon but our free days haven’t matched so far. what about you? how’s everything going?”

she frowns slightly at his words, in her mind the faith she has in him is almost a given. not because he was her husband and therefore she trusted him completely ( although it was one of the many reasons ) but, in reality... “you’ve never done anything that made you undeserving of my unconditional faith...” she says as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. she thought he knew he’s the person she believes in more than anyone, but maybe she should start reminding him more often. she can’t help but chuckle softly at his words, she’s a little flustered there’s no use in denying it when he could feel it so easily but it also didn’t make her any less eager. “something tells me you and i are thinking of entirely different help...” she tries to play innocent, to tease him a little “but i’ll honestly take any help you wanna give me.”

“The faith you have, always leaves me feeling astonished.” Jasper remarked in slight awe, touched by how unwavering her love and devotion towards him was. At times, he felt so undeserving of it, that he didn’t do enough to make her as happy as he made Alice. “Now that I can do,” he smirked, happily trailing after his siren of a wife.

“——— i’m an old friend of the cullens, especifically of carlisle but... the old man never told me there was more than one coven challenging our nature.” he says as he shakes his head slightly, trying his best to think back on what was said during his meeting with the woman that seemed to occupy his thoughts lately. it was hard to remember anything other than how awestruck he felt by her. “i’m almost completely positive her name was kate, is she one of your sisters?” there’s a small amount of embarrassment settling in, he didn’t even introduce himself, what would that say about his manners? “my name is garrett... it’s very nice to meet you. isn’t it curious? how humans seem to advance so quickly, but at the same time they remain the same at their core. the city has changed so much, but the people... still the same.”

can't wait until i have a wife so i can say "i love my wife" and introduce her to people by saying "i'd like you to meet my wife" and get out of boring social engagements by saying "i have to go home to my wife" and talk about her to anyone who will listen to me because she's my wife and i adore her
