Funny. I used to #think people with #good #bodies who said "...I #eat whatever I want", were lying, but it's #true! I'm still a long way from my #goals, but I've learned how my body works at this stage. It doesn't matter what you eat. What matters is how much you eat (calories) and, after 40, how much you #exercise. *SIGH* Last April, I started going to the gym and lost 50lbs. On the road to take off 50 more my workout was interrupted by a car accident, in September. For the next six months, I gained back 50% of my loss. Started the gym again a month ago, weighed yesterday, I'm down 10lbs already. #WaterWeight So, it's official, if you don't have serious mobility issues, it's easy to stay fit. #Fat is unused #energy. I'm back on it. #TritopCreativeCompany #Writing #Videography #Photography #WillFacebookUseThis? #Vanity #IWantToRun. I just want to be happy and not look like a fuckin #barrel.

Africanus Oepidus Complex Situation Part 2 By: Tritano Evans The matriarch sat quietly in her room with her right hand over her weakening heart. She thought deeply about her life choices. The memories caused pain. She tried to calm herself because she knew her children wouldn't help her if she got sick again. Yet, the reality of past offenses was growing like a swell under her breastplate. At night she dreamt of the angel of death slowly approaching. In public, she smiled and continued to praise her unsympathetic children as if they were gods. In fact, her mind was so invested in keeping up appearances that her children and God became the same in her imagination. Her children knew that. People tolerated her vanity because she was elderly, but, privately, they despised her children. Their selfish movements were publicly quite well known. That is why they were condemned to exclusivity. The darkness for which the matriarch herself was responsible was also exposed, but the fantasy in which she lived prevented her from acknowledging that truth as well. So, she lived with the excruciating pain, her heart's suffering equal to the workings of her heart, and smiled whenever anyone saw her. The flamboyant relative foresaw a tumultuous year for all of those involved. He wrote a letter that said: "Although hell is too good for you, there is enough space. However, before that, you will be revealed while you live. You would fly if you could, but gravity keeps you bound until the fire comes. When the flames increase, the doors will be locked. Everyone who already knew about your crimes will witness you burn and will not help. Your injuries will be so severe that the casket will need to be closed. I'm trying to get in front of #BlackHistoryMonth and talk about little known #AfricanAmericans who are responsible for the #CivilRights upon which the #UnitedStates founded its moral authority in the world. This man, #BayardRustin, was one of them. I think he's important to highlight now for two reasons (1) He helped #DrMartinLutherKingJr establish the #SouthernChristianLeadershipConference(SCLC) and was one of the lead organizers of the landmark #MarchOnWashington. He worked with the greatest Black thought leaders of his time including the great #MalcolmX and, novelist, #JamesBaldwin. (2) I believe his contribution is often overlooked because Mr. Rustin was an openly #GAY man. In fact, he was arrested several times on "#MoralsCharges" for having relationships with male #SexWorkers. (That's back when you could be jailed for being gay.) Once, after a meeting with Dr. King, Mr. Rustin was taken from the meeting location in the trunk of a car so people wouldn't associate him with the movement. Black people in particular should know this man and celebrate his life and courage because he deserves large credit for our freedom today. Unfortunately, despite the high statistics for HIV infection and drug addiction in the #BlackCommunity, we're still huge (fake ass/DL ass/Lipstick Lesbian ass) #homophobes. Civil rights for one group is civil rights for ALL groups. Shout out to Bayard Rustin. I, #Narcissus By: #TritanoEvans Teens, 20s, 30s, and now 40s. WOW! The older I get, the more I become #myself. And I #love me. I #marvel at me! So, should you, and I'm going to tell you why: YOU represent billions of years of #cosmic activity. The #smart #universe knew you in an energetic form and then you were #conceived. Being born into the #physical world is #miraculous happenchance. YOU have never existed before in this form. YOU will never exist again in this way. Therefore, YOU are making #history every single day. When you look out your eyes, that's #incredible! When you speak with your unique voice quality, it's #extraordinary! When you touch something, you leave a one of a kind fingerprint there. That's #remarkable! No one else can #see, #speak, or #touch the way you do. Your existence was #unimaginable until YOU happened. So, this is what we have to offer the world...ourselves. And the more you give of yourself, more will be given to you.
