important things to consider!!

MATE BONDS. usually occurring in shifters of some kind, but who the hell says you can’t have two humanoids with one? you feel your mate’s emotions just beneath the surface of your own. you get little inklings of them, like a whisper, just enough to have a general idea. eventually, once the bond has really solidified, a mental connection can be established (where brief conversations can be held).  there’s also a sense of knowing, no matter how far away your mate is, when something is wrong, or if they are okay.  they’re really in sync around one another, too.  if an alpha pair has an established/good mate bond, the entire pack (which experiences a pack bond) can feel theirs, too.

MARKING. mates biting to mark one another.  this wards off other potential suitors and shows the bitten as taken.  the mates also smell like each other, which increases aggression and possessiveness substantially. carnal territorial behaviors, especially if one mate was to become pregnant. skdfjsdfdsfsdf.

IMPRINTING. this is one of my favorites okay!! this can happen to and for any shifter after the age of eighteen, imo.  shifters under the age of eighteen cannot imprint, which often leads to a lot of casual dating and mucking around. but when the imprint does happen, it is intense, instantaneous.  the fun part, though, is that free will often plays a part in it, in that, if you imprint on someone you hate, it will not suddenly absolve you of this, but you will feel an innate desire to want to be around them.  that cognitive dissonance can drive new imprinters mad.  and yes, shifters can and do imprint on humans. 8| drama. however, shifters who imprint on other shifters can only mutually imprint. meaning: if one imprints, the other does, simultaneously, as well. very rarely does this happen otherwise, because a lack of reciprocation of an imprint is extremely painful for the imprinter.

basically what i’m saying here is:  give me mates and mate bonds and marking and imprinting and wOLVES and PACKS.

Who is he to deny her anything? He’s never been able to. This is no exception to that rule. He grins against her lips, moving his hand to the side of his neck, thumb coaxing her chin up so that he can deepen the kiss. He can feel the pulse beating beneath her skin, feel the heat flushing in her cheek. She wants him. And he wants her. It takes a few shifts and a quick movement of his hand before they’re both bare, and he’s guiding his length into her heat, groaning at the feeling. “Fucking hell.” He mutters to himself, moving his hand away from the side of her neck to cup her breast, thumb brushing over her nipple as he dips his head to take the other in his mouth. 

Their movements are lazy and unhurried, hands and lips exploring every inch of skin they can reach, soft whimpers falling from her lips as she buries her face in his neck. It’s moments like this that it’s difficult to remember why they’re a bad idea. They fit so perfectly together. The way he touches her, the way he looks at her, its enough to shoot straight through her. “Tyler...” As his lips and teeth trace over her nipple she arches up to meet his mouth, tugging at his dark hair as her hips work more urgently against his. It doesn’t take long for her release to build and when the first wave hits her those three little words spring to her lips. The ones that always seem to be right on her tongue whenever they’re tangled together. I love you. It would be so easy to say. So so easy. “Ohh fuck...” Clarke pulls harder at his hair, teeth digging into her lower lip to keep them from escaping.
