So I love to go to punk shows, I'm also an ambulatory wheelchair user. So whenever I go to punk shows, I'm using my wheelchair as it's hard for me to get out of the house otherwise.

At the last show I went to, someone went up behind me and grabbed my chair. I cannot explain how terrifying it is to have someone come up behind you and grab your chair out of nowhere. Luckily, someone was filming at the time, and I was able to get a screenshot of the person who grabbed me.

I cannot express enough, do not grab someone's wheelchair! It's just as bad as grabbing someone and pulling them along. If you wouldn't do it to able body person. Why is it ok for you to do it to a disabled person?

In the shadow of structural abandonment, political alienation, family rejection, chronic illness, state violence, and medi- cal neglect, queer friendship saves us. Queer friendship-that thing that is sometimes called mutual solidarity, disability justice, care, organizing, abolition, or maybe just love-is what raised me in San Francisco, and what forms the lifeblood of this book. when i put the hashtag "actually autistic" im not excluding people who are undiagnosed. diagnosis is hard, if not impossible to get as a teenager or adult. when i say actually autistic i mean im an autistic person living my daily life being autistic, im not some facebook "autism mum" with an autistic son acting like they know better than actually autistic people. i can fully understand why someone might not be able to or maybe not even be looking to get a diagnosis. the process is dificult at best, ESPECIALlY if youre an adult.
