She went to say that it used to be her sort of thing, but looking at Greyson now - blonde hair and all, it was clear that it still was. Not that she had a type, Landon was the complete opposite from Greyson. In the back of her mind, so far back, Hope knew that Greyson was describing her. Part of her wondered if they'd ever let themselves open up enough to tell each other the truth but the one thing that had always happened to Hope happened. He had died. A reminder that she would outlive him, and just about anyone she cared about. Unless she turned him, but that was always a last resort kind of thing for Hope. It wasn't as if she was out there making an army for herself. "Well, she sounds like a very lucky brunette." Hope offers with a small smile. "How many kegs do you think you could do without getting totally shitfaced?" Hope asks with a small hum. She looked back out to the party, giving a small nod as she made the comparison, "I think the bayou parties were a little more unruly than these ones." But what else can you expect from a pack of wolves?
~ grey watched hope for a moment and allowed his guard to drop-something that rarely happened any more. He glanced around to see if he could spot josie in their vicinity before shrugging. "I guess... if you like that sort of thing... me," he paused looking to hope once more, "prefer brunettes... with mysterious eyes... and a pretty smile." He finished. "Well i would hate to stop you experiencing that... who knows what will happen as the night goes on." That was a million dollar question, anything could happen, and with their history of events it probably would. "I guess... reminds me so much of the parties at school... or down the bayou."

A peanut butter shake in hand, Hope took a seat next to Aiden on the bench as she tossed a leg over the other. "Oh yeah, it's riveting." She shoots a smirk his way before taking a drink from her shake, hues shifting to the surroundings around them before falling back to Aiden. Thankfully, it was a quiet night. Nothing to handle as far as she knew. "Everything alright?"
"Yeah..." Aiden listened to his friend on the other end of the phone as he went on, fingers combing through the unruly brown locks before sitting back. "Just let me know if you hear anything, I can't imagine it'll be a smooth adjustment if they're back." Once the dead started coming back, Aiden held out hope that his sister was among them but it's been thirty years so that hope has slowly been coming undone. He didn't know what he'd do if she was back either though, not with Lorcan also most likely back. "Thanks, man. Yeah, I'll talk to you later." And just as he hung up, a shadow cast over him as someone stepped into the path of the light. "Enjoying your walk?" A way of greeting as they stopped in front of him. @sanguishqsstarters

The falls ; however a popular place it was to be at certain times of the night, was actually empty. Save for one person, still way less than normal. She wasn't in the habit of scaring people, so she cleared her throat to announce her presence, "Might be a bit too cold to take a swim tonight." Hope speaks up, the tease of a smile on her lips. "Wouldn't stop me though, so I wouldn't blame you if it didn't stop you either."
Henrik decided to take a walk through the woods, which lead him to his favorite place in Mystic Falls, the falls. The memories that this place brought to him were mostly good and it was a good way for him to remember his family, before all the chaos that happened, started by his death. As a kid, Henrik would come here often and would swim in the cold waters of the river, this was also a good place for him to find some of the herbs that he sold at his store whenever he ran out. Standing by the water's edge, he looked at the water as it ran, lost in thought and failing to notice the footsteps approaching him. @sanguishqsstarters

Hope would pay to see the day that her family engaged in these sorts of parties, the amusement she'd get from watching Elijah suit and all, doing a keg stand? Priceless. "I might not be as fun as the party, but I'll always have time for you." Hope smiles in reply. "Yeah," Hope looks out, watching as everyone enjoyed their time. "I think I would have been, given the chance. Back then, not now." With people her age though? She was sure she'd have a good time. "I might find my way there tonight, depending on how things go." She laughs. Stepping into her aunts arms, Hope enveloped her arms around Freya's frame. It was nice to have her family back in Mystic Falls, giving her the chance to reconnect and connect all the same. "It's been a colorful last month or two. But I'm okay. How have you been?"
"I didn't come for the party though, I came to see you." Freya half smiled and tilted her head a bit to the left, before smiling fully and waving to her niece. "Keeping you company would be a good way to spend my time. I'm not the biggest on..." she stopped for a moment before scrunching her nose. ".... teenage parties." the blonde stated as she shook her head. "But I do think you'd knock them down a peg or two if you really wanted to, so I don't have to. They could learn a thing or two." Stepping over, the blonde reached out her arms, gesturing for a hug from her niece, if she so desired. "How have you been?"

The school was Hope's home away from home - or well, was it? She spent more time in Mystic Falls than she did New Orleans ; this was her home. And despite the things that've happened at the school all those years ago, it was nice to drop by every now and then and see how things were. In a not so surprising twist, Caroline was doing a better job than Alaric did. The small memory of him shot a small pang of grief through her but she pushed it back and instead smiled over at Josie as they headed into the school. "I mean if they don't take the bait then I certainly will. Pizza and cupcakes? Best combo." She laughs softly. "No, we were always the ones running directly into the line of danger. I suppose it's a good thing they haven't taken after us." The small smirk dances on her lips. Following Josie into the school, Hope looked over to her longtime friend - "How has everything been for you?"
the words from the tribrid caused josie to smirk, this type of thing definitely had her twin written all over it. brushing some of her blonde locks behind her ear, shaking her head while walking back toward the school josie now taught at. ❝ surprisingly nope, it was all me. my students have done really well and i'm hoping my ploy with cupcakes and pizza and such will keep them away from the bonfire.. but then again it wouldn't have kept me away when we were their age. ❞ her nose wrinkled, using the toe of her boot to nudge the front door open of the school for them.

Blatant honesty, that was a good thing. "I did the loner thing awhile back, it wasn't too bad." Then she met Greyson and realized she didn't have to do the loner thing. Then there was Josie and Lizzie, and while it took awhile for her and Lizzie to become friends, once they were Hope couldn't imagine a life without them being her best friends. And there was just no being a loner when Lizzie was around. "It's a love hate relationship with that kind of tolerance." If Hope wanted to get drunk, she would either have to drink a lot or drink something specifically made to give vampires that drunken edge. "One of these days we'll have to do just that." The offer to join in on some pack activities was on the tip of her tongue, but Hope wanted to get to know him more before she let the offer hang between the two of them. Instead, she found herself asking, "How old were you when Mikael went after the pack?" She never met the man thankfully, but she knew all she needed to know to hate him. "Have you been a lone wolf this entire time?"
"There might be a chance of that. But don't make it sound like such a bad thing." Christopher stated. There was nothing wrong with being a lone wolf, he had been for the longest time. He had no ill intentions towards the Mikaelson's, Mikael was already dead and he had been the person that Chris had wanted to kill. No need to take it out on the whole family especially when they had no idea who he even was at first. Sure he could have decided to take that route of getting back at them but what would that actually solve? Nothing. It wouldn't change the history between them and him. It would still be there just more blood stained. It wasn't like he wasn't hoping that Mikael would come back one of these from the dead, because he was. Only for Chris to run a white oak through his heart. But until then, he would do his best to not get into any of the Mikaelson's way. Just be cautious of them like they were of him. "I mean you certainly aren't wrong about that." He pointed out. "I do bet we both could." He pointed out. Shrugging a little bit. "I didn't either." He shrugged a little bit. "Seems like we both have to make up for that." The joke came out with an ease. "Not much of a pack man, myself. Never really had that chance." Sure, he had thought about joining one, but he was never one to actually want to join. Chris had been a lone wolf for the longest time. Besides the coven but he didn't speak much of them. It was better that way. "I might like things like that. But sometimes, being around people isn't that bad at times."

"Yeah, but he went fishing for the serpent, didn't he?" Hope recalled the story the woman had just finished telling some of the students. "What was the serpent doing to be hunted?" Was it because Thor believed the serpent to be a monster that needed to be put down? Or was the God just really hungry? She wouldn't be surprised if she saw another God, hell - she had always believed there was more than one God out there but the God's weren't coming - until one did, but he was dealt with after a tiring battle. "I think after the last God I encountered, I'll be okay with not seeing another for quite a time." Hope responds with a small laugh. Good or bad, if a God made themselves known it just meant that there was something on the horizon that begged their attention and that typically didn't fare well for anyone else. "So," Hope starts, "Is this like your typical uh... Viking gathering back in the day?" Tatia was a woman out of time, "How are you adjusting to the modern times?"
❝ ⸻ Thor simply went fishing in the sea. Unbeknownst to Thor , Jormungandr had taken the bait on his hook . This encounter set the stage for their future conflict but thor did not look for this encounter . ❞ Tatia smiled at the tribrid who always seems to avoid her . ❝ ⸻ you should know that the gods are not terrible . Not MY gods , at least . the true gods . The ones you battled with believed themselves to be superior to humans in every way . believe themselves to be PERFECT . In contrast , Odin and the rest of the gods praise our mortality . they are as real as you and me ... with flaws and emotions . they value courage , honor , and loyalty . ❞ tatia looked over at the niklaus' daughter . she knew her to be his the moment they locked eyes . She had his eyes . The viking woman never got the chance to ask her why she always avoided her . She wondered if its because of something she did or ... perhaps her family grown to hate her ? either way , tatia kept to herself and the shadows .

"Calling me a loner?" Hope retorts, voice light and teasing with a warm smile accompanying it as she looked up to him. Another uncle. One, who has stayed away for... well, all her life pretty much. Fair, though. Considering the Mikaelson's history with his pack - Mikael's more like. When she was younger, Hope felt as if she needed to make up for her fathers wrong doings, apologize for the bad blood her family has spilled over the course of their eternal lives. Still to this day, she found herself doing just that but for the most part, Hope was done trying to make up for it - she loved her family, but their history was not hers. But she knew how people tended to be, to hurt her father, mother or any other member of her family - they'd decide to hurt someone they love. That was Aurora's motive, wanting one last fuck you to her already dead father as she tried to kill Hope. It was fair to say that Hope was just as cautious of Chris as Chris was of her. Still he was family, and she would get to know him. "I still bet you could drink them all under the table." Hope replies with a laugh. "I never really had the chance to do stuff like this." She gestures a hand out to the party people, when she attended school and there was parties like this, she was out with Alaric, recruiting students to the school. She was a tool. And when she wasn't, she was a weapon. "I'm more of a laid back, bonfires with my pack kind of person." A tradition Hope made sure to keep with the crescents, "I'm here tonight to make sure no one dies, since they all want to ignore curfew. Can't blame them though. What about you? You seem like the person that would rather be drinking alone, or at some refined bar."
"You sure about that?" Christopher wasn't exactly sure why he had even came here but yet here he was. Shaking his head a little bit, glancing over at her. He was honestly still unsure and untrusting of the Mikaelson's but then again who could blame him? Everything considered. Hope, though was his niece so to speak. "I'm not one for kegs actually. Or at least being held upside down and drinking." He pointed out. Glancing around a little bit now, he was a bit tense, like he always was at events like this. "So what exactly are you doing here? Doesn't exactly seem like your cup of tea."

Was it possible to be both intrigued and hesitant of Tatia? When she attended the school, she learned about the doppelgangers and only really knew Elena out of all of them. Katherine, Tatia and Amara were long dead before Hope was born - Katherine though, came back, then died in a blaze of glory? Defeat? In the time that Tatia has been back, it was no secret to anyone who could see that Hope was careful around Tatia. She was polite, but she kept the conversations short - in her defense, she always had something to do and when she was at the school it was usually summoning Landon to ask about so and so. Had it not been for the fact that he was now completely emotionless, Hope was sure he would have snapped at her for the amount of times he's been summoned. But of everyone (aside from her family of course) Tatia knew her family far before they were vampires. This was probably the first time that Hope was approaching Tatia instead of running into her, then leaving shortly after. "It seems God's are always trying to bite off more than they can chew." Hope had firsthand experience with one God in particular. "Do you think we'll ever face a God who's -- I don't know... not terrible?"
Tatia only came to the bonfire because she was asked if she could look after some of the kids . watching them dance around the fire and drink reminded her of her time . how she missed it . it was times like these where she felt utterly ALONE . like she did not belong . she knew she did not . some of the teens from the salvatore school recognized her and asked her to tell her a story . She decided on one of her brother's favorite . ❝ ⸻ The great sea is held in place by Jormungand. ❞ Tatia told them .❝ the serpent whose giant body encircles it and who keeps his tail in his mouth to complete the circle and stop the waves breaking loose… ❞ The image easily came to all their heads for all who listened . ❝ ⸻ But one day, the god Thor, son of earth, was fishing in the sea for the serpent, using a bull’s head for bait. Jormungand reared up and the waves pummeled the shore as he twisted and writhed in a fury. They were well matched, serpent and god, in that furious fight. The seas boiled around them, but then the hook became dislodged, and the serpent slithered free and sank again, so quickly, beneath the waves. And soon, the sea was calm once more… as if nothing had disturbed it. ❞
Tatia smiled as they asked her for more but she simply told them to take her class . Having a drink in her hand , the woman waved them off for them to have fun and enjoy the night . She leaned against the tree as she took it all in .

It wasn't the flash of blonde that gave away who was next to her, it was the way the comfort enveloped around her like a soft blanket. She was safe with him, and he her - her heart on the other hand? She had no idea what was going on with that, she typically liked to resort to ignoring it. Her aunt would be disappointed to hear that. "Ah, I don't know. Have you seen Josie? She's a stunner." There was something about Hope that just had people staying away, maybe the resting bitch face she inherited from her mother? She could ask Grey, but she wasn't nearly drunk enough for that. "Oh absolutely me watching you." Hope answers without a second thought, the laugh emitting past parted lips. "Have you been having fun?"
~Greyson had been watching the female from afar, his eyes always watching the alpha and making sure she was okay. ofcourse she was going to be. she was stronger, she was smarter, she was perfect. the other pack members and those from the salvatore school and mystic falls high all amalgamated and enjoying themselves. He had grabbed a beer and moved towards the female and listened as she spoke without even looking towards Greyson until she glanced to him. "Oh I know, I don't have to... but I want to... probably with every other guy here that has any taste in women.." he said. The thought of knocking down a teen was appealing enough to get a laugh out of greyson. "You know... I'm sure there is... but I'm not sure who would enjoy that more... me or you watching me.." he teased.

"You don't have to keep me company, you know." Leaned up against a tree, a red solo cup in hand full of cheap beer, Hope casted a glance to her right where the other was standing, light blue hues reflecting the dancing flames of the roaring bonfire. "I'm sure there's some undisputed keg stand champion just waiting to be knocked down a peg." Hope would do it, and maybe later in the night she would. But for right now, she stay leaned up against the tree keeping an eye on her wolves and the rest of the party around them in case she needed to intervene death. @sanguishqsstarters

In no way, shape or form was Hope wanting to be a chaperone for a handful of drunk High School kids who have not yet reached the part in their vocabulary where the word curfew existed. Though, she couldn't blame them. Hope was never one to listen to rules either. She'd go for a few drinks, sit by the fire, be social, catch up with some friends -- all the while, making sure no one died. On her way over, Hope spotted Josie with an array of things in her arms, "Is Lizzie making you do this?" Hope asks with a teasing smile as she reached into Josie's car to grab out the last of the things. "Are you going to be heading over to the bonfire, or do your own thing here?"
josie just left the market, she was getting stuff for a small party for her students at the salvatore school. everyone passed their exams, she wanted to give them a special treat and surprise. the heretic had her arms full with cupcakes, pizzas, and a box with some bloodbags for the vampire students and herself — but there was still a box of decorations in her car and she really didn't want to make two trips. hearing footsteps, the heretic was shifting things in her arms without looking up. ❝ any chance you could be a huge help and grab that blue box for me? ❞
