STROBING.
Strobing has been gaining more and more attention as of recently, however don’t be fooled by the fancy name. It’s sort of a fancy term for a strategic highlighting technique that literally highlights certain areas of your face (usually the high points), as a way to draw focus to those features. You can either wear it on a night out or as your day time look, oh the possibilities. No, you don’t have to be a make up artist to do this, all you need is a lot of highlighter.
Technique: I prefer to use both powder and cream highlighter. First, I apply the cream on the highest points of my face where the light would natural hit my face; cheekbones, down the bridge of my nose, the brow bones, the tip of my nose and the inner corners of my eyes. I make sure to blend it really well so it blends in with my skin. Next, I spray MAC Fix + to the area where I want to add my powder highlighter to and then quickly apply it there. I do that because I find that it intensifies the highlight. After all those steps, my skin is done and glowing.
Products mentioned:
MAC Soft & Gentle.
MAC Fix +
Josie Maran Argan Enlightenment Illuminizer.
