I think at this point in time, Touya would be living in a tropical area, like the Seveii Islands He would've broken up with Touko, and took some more time for himself again. But he occasionally visits Cheren and even her back home. But he's getting a slow, peaceful life he deserves. Or at least wanted Maybe eventually he's take that offer for the Battle Subway but right now Just him and his Pokemon

No Crying Until The End! It may be the departure of very old and dear friends, but they will always stay with you deep within your heart. Cheren always said I was always corny when I said stuff like that But he'll always stay there too! As for me.... My journey is still going. No crying until the end....

Oh we've been doing very well. I'm back at the gym, training my Pokemon.

"That's great to hear! I haven't stopped by the gym or cafe in a long time...sorry about that!"

Hello again, Touya. I hope everything's well on your end. Guess who completed a close to ten-month-long mission and finally has some free time?

"Sird....? Wow, it has been a long time, hasn't it? I've been doing...good, I guess. How have you been? With that 10 month mission you must be ecstatic about having time off.."

Hello Touya! It's been a long time. How are you doing?

"Ah, Cilan! Its nice to see you again" [he smiles] "I've been good, how are you, and your brothers?"

"The weather kind of ruined Halloween this year, and I didn't dress up as anything too complicated, just a wizard..."

"No one was really around to go trick or treating with either, and last time I even did that...it was with N..." he sighed

"I guess maybe next year will be a bit better, huh? At least this Thanksgiving I'll be around."

"Hey Bianca! You honestly think I'd be slacking off on my training?" Touya smiled and ran over to his old friend, which he hasn't seen in a very long time. She had looked different to him, at least

"How have you been, anyway? You look different! In a good way, I mean..." he slightly chuckled

Hey, I know two out of three of you!

Touko, Touya .. How are you two? I haven’t seen either of you in forever! Still keeping up with the training or have y’been slacking off a little bit, hm?

Touya stood silent as she talked, listening to her say what he expected, She didn't find N either. He sadly smiled and sighed

"I didn't have much luck either, after we both left Sinnoh, I headed towards Kanto for a bit, and I did have a lead there towards the Sevii Islands....but no luck. I stood there for awhile. Hoping he'd show up somewhere on any of the islands, but nothing." Touya then put his hand on her shoulder

"Maybe he was trying to make sure he wouldn't be found, after all?" 

"At least you were ok. Even if I missed you, we had to do this, right? That was our deal...We had to split up to cover ground." He nodded. This was the truth, they wouldn't be able to find N if they stood together. Unless N really didn't want to really see them, which was the fear both Touya and Touko had in the back of their mind. It was difficult to even know, they both hardly knew anything about N's past life, or anything really. 

"I was ok. I didn't have any issues there, at least. I learned a few things too, after all." He smiled again. "How about you? Did you catch any new Pokemon?" 

"Sometimes, I still need you" [Touko]

It felt as long more than a year had passed by now, he still seemed so familiar to her even the way he looked but so much could in fact happen in a year which was why her hesitation became noticed. However Touko didn’t feel awkward or nervous only disappointed that they hadn’t met sooner or even crossed paths in that year. The trainer wasn’t even sure where Touya had headed after they parted ways and in this world so many different regions needed to be explored.

She felt better once Touya had closed the distance between them both and wrapped his arms around her because it was something that Touko had intended to do in the first place. Was she being awkward? She wasn’t even sure what to say since the last time they spoke now. The brunette felt his hot breath on her ear, speaking on how much he had missed her and all she could do was nod in return; finding it hard to speak for the moment until the hug had been broken.

“I… missed you too, Touya.”

And truthfully Touko had missed him more than she could ever say.

She laughed then, bright smile on her face as her brown head nodded and Snivy waddled to her side looking up at her trainer. “That’s good! And I’ve been taking care of myself so that’s probably why.. but anyway you look healthy which can only mean you took great care of yourself too!” Honestly Touko had only been a little worried on how he would fare on his own but it didn’t look as though he’d run into any trouble along the way.

“Um, I’ve kind of been disappointed since we parted..” She struggled to look at him, rubbing the back of her neck. “I’ve been taking care of myself like I said but I couldn’t even find N—” After all that searching and nothing? Yeah, Touko was pretty disappointed in herself. “I even went to Hoenn to look but nothing.. It was nice but what about you? I’ve really missed being around you, Touya.”

Touya was getting a bit worried that she was not going to show up, honestly. He wasn't even sure if she went back to searching for N again. Until he heard a familiar voice next to him, his heart beating rapidly in excitement. 

It was Touko. It had been a year since they've seen each other, and she looked different to him, but in a good way. He smiled as he stood up, his eyes looking straight into hers. Touya saw that she was hesitating doing something. Should he go ahead and do it for her? He leaned towards her, wrapping his arms around her in a tight hug, his mouth near her ear and whispered

"I missed you so much...Touko." He held her in the hug for a few more moments, until he put her at arm's length.

"I'm good! You look...good too! How have you've been since then?" He was referring to when they had separated to find N.

He couldn't help but smile at her, she just did that to him. Like a small ball of light just shined within him whenever he was with her.

"Sometimes, I still need you" [Touko]

Ever since returning back to Unova without any luck at finding N, Touko had many thoughts about where he could be and also where Touya could have been. She thought about him daily and how couldn’t she? The brunette had known him for a very long time now and although they never really needed to say much between each other to know what the other was thinking, she had still only wished to see him again since their departure. How long had it been?

A year? Maybe Touko should’ve checked in every now and then but she only hoped all this time that Touya had been doing well himself. Was he back as well? Only time would tell until she received the message on her X-Transceiver told her that yes he was back. It made her smile, hearing from him again and that now they were back in the same region again.

It was nearing 4PM and in the excitement she felt at seeing her closest friend, and still boyfriend… if that’s what they still were; forgot to reply. However that was usually the way with her. Arriving shortly after 4PM because what was Touko and being on time? Searched around the fountain, Snivy at her side as always before finally spotting that familiar brown hair, clothes and usual expression on his face.

“Touya!” She spoke, itching closer to her precious friend with a wide smile on her face at being so happy at seeing him again. Would it be alright for her to tackle him in a hug as she used to do? Maybe the trainer would wait a little while and see what happened even though she wanted to do exactly that. “How are you? Long time no see, huh?!”
