What's to Love About the Grand Sirenis Punta Cana? 10 Reasons You'll Never Want to Leave
The Dominican Republic is the second-largest island located in the Caribbean. It boasts a rich history which includes having the second oldest city and the oldest church in the New World. There are also tons of things to see and do in the Dominican Republic, no matter if you're planning on soaking up the sun or being a little more adventurous. But which hotel you decide to stay at during your trip makes a big difference. At the Grand Sirenis Punta Cana, there's so much to do and see that you don't even need to leave the resort to have the time of your life. If you're wondering what's so special about Grand Sirenis, keep reading. We're sharing with you 10 reasons why this Dominican Republic hotel is the only choice to make.
1. The Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Is an All-Inclusive Hotel
One great thing about this Dominican Republic hotel is that it's all-inclusive. That means that you pay one price for everything. That includes most activities, food, and even your alcoholic drinks. You don't have to worry about whether or not you have enough pesos to pay for your meal. And you don't have to worry about ending up with a huge credit card bill at the end of your stay, either.
2. Deep-Sea Diving
For those who love exploring the deep blue sea, this hotel offers deep-sea diving excursions. And there are a few amazing dive sites you shouldn't miss. The Aquarium at Catalina Island boasts a coral bed and is a haven for Caribbean fish species. You'll find the reefs in pristine condition at Cayo Reef in Paradise Island. Airport Wall in Sosua allows swimmers to swim through caverns and tunnels where you'll spot reef sharks and eagle rays.
3. Luxury Accommodations
This hotel has everything a luxury hotel should have. There are two pools boasting beach-style access. Each room has its own terrace and solarium. Reception is available 24 hours if you need anything. There's laundry, a mini-mart on the premises, and even postal service so you can show off where you're staying to friends and family who didn't join you. There's also a spa and a wellness and beauty center.
4. Variety of Food to Eat
Half of the fun of going on vacation is eating and drinking. With nine bars to choose from, you can find your favorite watering hole serving up your favorite tropical cocktails. And there are a variety of restaurants to choose from such as: International cuisine American Italian Japanese Mexican You can eat in a new restaurant every night of your vacation. Don't forget to try the Dominican food as well. You'll be surprised at the results of blending French, Caribbean, and Spanish flavors together.
5. Great for Families with Younger Kids
For families with younger kids, this hotel is a great choice. There are two pools designated just for children aged 4-11 years complete with water jets and sprinklers. Then there is the themed water park which has an Aquaracer with 4 lane speed slides. There's even a 10-meter high tower with water tubes, toboggans, kamikaze, and free-fall twister. And kids between 2-4 years have their own swimming pool with a water sprinkler and animal statues. For water-logged kids, they can head over to the mini club which has a Lego zone, craft zone, cinema room, and even an outdoor garden.
6. Tons of Water-Inspired Activities
Besides the awesome water park, there are tons of other water-based activities for kids and adults to delight in. The beach itself offers both open areas with large waves and areas with calmer waters which are protected by reefs. There are also other types of water-based activities for the whole family to enjoy. There's windsurfing, kayaking, and canoeing for those who enjoy a good workout. You can also set sail on a catamaran and then take a view at what's below the surface with some snorkeling.
7. Nighttime Activities for Adults
The fun doesn't end just because the sun sets. You can hang out in one of the indoor or outdoor lounges and talk to friends and family. You can also try your luck at the casino. Once you're finished winning, head over to the nightclub known as "El Bonche" and dance the night away until 2 am. There's also live entertainment during the day and evening.
8. Plenty of Sports to Engage in
If you need to take a break from the water, there's still plenty to do to keep everyone active. Grand Sirenis has the following non-water sports-related activities: Archery Gym Mini driving range Beach football Recreation games room You can even take dancing lessons so you can show off your new salsa moves as you dance the night away in the nightclub.
9. Exciting Tours to Choose From
If you do feel you want to see more of the beauty that the Dominican Republic offers, there are plenty of tours to choose from as well. You can take a day trip via catamaran to one of the surrounding islands. There are day trips so you can explore Santo Domingo and see where Christopher Columbus lived. There's even a Monkeyland and Plantation Safari tour which has its own botanical garden.
10. Extra Amenities Available
The best part of every great all-inclusive hotel is the extra amenities they offer. For families with kids, they'll love the fact that there's a nursery for times when the parents want some alone time. For those who want to learn how to dive before they take the plunge, there's a diving school on the premises. And for those who prefer to get their exercise by shopping, there are some great shops on the premises to buy mementos for yourself and everyone on your list.

The Top 7 Can't-Miss Things to Do In the Dominican Republic
Hotel Riu Palace Macao is a great resort to relax in the Dominican Republic. But don’t forget your hotel is just one of many things to do in the Dominican Republic. Don’t let your time on this great Caribbean island with its rich heritage and beautiful coastlines go to waste. Be sure to explore all the hidden gems on this spectacular island. Here are the best things to do in the Dominican Republic.
1. Get Off the Beaten Track
It’s one thing exploring the Dominican Republic on the traditional roads but another to get off the beaten track and explore the jungle from the back of a buggy. Here you can really get to see the breathtaking green landscapes up close. The four-hour tour sees you tasting local coffee and cacao - the bean from which chocolate is derived - and following an off-road trail with an experienced local guide. All from the back of a trusted buggy.
2. Swim With Dolphins
This life-changing experience is easily arranged from the Dominican Republic. These beautiful creatures would be only too happy to see you if you can get down to Punta Cana to see them. The Dolphin Waterpark is a must. Here you and your entire family - including your children - can swim for 30 or 60 minutes with dolphins. There are 3 packages based on the amount of time you want to spend with the dolphin and the number of people you want in your group.
3. Get That Party Started On a Boat
This is probably not one for the kids. Grab a drink whilst taking in the spectacular views of the ocean on this great tour. Or better still, why not dive straight into the crystal clear waters? If that is not enough to interest, you remember that your tour also includes free snorkeling off the coral reef for 45 minutes. After this, the boat heads on to the natural pool for more partying. The key perks of this trip are free and unlimited drinks (rum, mamajuana, beer, fruit punch), snacks, and fruit. Everything you can think of is included to make sure you have the best time on this cruise.
4. Sea Fishing
The Caribbean is known for having some of the best seafood in the whole world. Good Dominican cuisine is much sought after in America. And it’s not surprising given the huge variety of aquatic creatures that swim around the crystal clear waters. If you are interested in how the locals hunt out the best catches of the day, then be sure to check out this sea fishing tour. Here you’ll be on a boat with professional staff with refreshments. You’ll be taken out to sea to see how the master goes about catching fishes like Barracuda, Bill Fish, and Dorado. There are several options for this trip. You can arrange to do it with a group of friends or family as a private boat trip, or you can hop aboard with other holiday-makers and make some new friends.
5. Los Haitises National Park
The best part about this national park is its eco credentials. There are hikes to walk, beautiful blue rivers to see amongst the mountains and mangroves not to mention the spooky caves. But perhaps the best part of Los Haitises National Park is the wildlife you can spot there if you are lucky. There are hutia rodents as well as bright pelicans.
6. Lake Enriquillo
Another spectacular piece of nature, this is one of the largest lakes in the Caribbean. And it is well worth the trip to the other side of the island to see it. If not for the sight of the lake itself but for the creatures that inhabit it. You might catch a crocodile if you’re lucky (so it’s probably best to avoid going for a swim), an iguana or a pink flamingo. There are also some really great local villages around here if you want to see how residents of the Dominican Republic really live.
7. Go Inland
Be sure to head to the highlands, though of course this might seem hard given out beautiful the coastlines are. But it is surely worth it. Check out Constanza, a mountain town that seems like a land of milk and honey. Be sure to head to the apple orchards and strawberry plantations to sample a taste of nature. There are some great hikes here. As well as bike rides, if you want to get out further into the valleys. Alternatively, you could just relax and take in the great country air for a day or two before heading back down to the beach.
There Are So Many Things To Do in The Dominican Republic
If you are planning your trip to the Dominican Republic, then you are lucky because there is an unrivaled amount to do here. Although of course, you will want to enjoy the resort where you are staying, you are missing out if you don’t get out to the rest of the island. You can enjoy some leisure time on the stunning beaches, or you can get a boat out and do some fishing. If fishing is not your thing, you can make some new friends on the boat party, with free drinks included. There is also fun for the whole family with once-in-a-lifetime dolphin trips available. But not everything has to revolve around the beach. If you are a nature lover, be sure to go inland for a few days to explore the villages in the mountains and highlands or to one of the national parks. If you’re heading for the Caribbean and are thinking about things to do in the Dominican Republic be sure to fill out our travel assessment to see how we can help you with the transport options for your trip. Tips For Planning Your Excursion to Now Onyx Punta Cana
A popular destination for honeymoons, weddings, and old fashioned vacations, the Dominican Republic is one of the most beautiful countries in the world - Now Onyx Punta Cana Resort. In fact, it's the most visited destination in all of the Caribbean. In addition to exporting gold, tobacco, and t-shirts, the Dominican Republic also has some of the best beaches in the world. And what better way to enjoy the white sandy beaches and all the culture that DR has to offer than to take an all-inclusive trip to a fabulous resort. Are you about to take a trip to the lovely Now Onyx Punta Cana? Are you thinking about booking one? Keep reading to find out some tips for planning the trip of a lifetime!
Get All Your Ducks in a Row
If you're traveling from the United States, you'll need a tourist visa before you travel to the Dominican Republic. Make sure you apply for your visa well ahead of time. Be sure to check your passport too and make sure that it's not expired, and that you have at least 6 months left before it does. If you have the time before you leave, learn some Spanish, even if it's just a few words. Dominicans are some of the most welcoming and happy people in the world. You'll enjoy your stay that much more if you can make an effort to communicate with locals. Plus, learning a new language is both fun and empowering! Don't worry about your cash. Even though you'll get more bang for your buck if you use the local currency, there are currency exchange offices everywhere. And bring sunscreen. The Dominican Republic is sunny almost every day of the year and the worst way to start off a tropical vacation is to get a major sunburn.
Take Advantage of the Amenities
Now Onyx sits along one of the Dominican Republic's most beautiful beaches. The beaches are lined with chairs and thatched umbrellas so you can relax in style at any time of the day. There are 5 pools at the Now Onyx Punta Cana, including two freshwater infinity pools and a saltwater kids' pool. One of the best things about this hotel is the modern rooms. Nothing is worse than traveling to a beautiful destination, only to find that the place where you'll be laying your head at night is lacking and dated. At Now Onyx, the rooms are modern and there are flatscreen TVs, foldout love seats, and free minibars. In addition to those mentioned above, there are many other amenities at the Now Onyx, such as: A 24-hour gym with free personal training sessions Free introductory scuba lessons Free kids' and teens' clubs Plenty of restaurants with a kids' menu at every one Room service around the clock and nightly service entertainment Free Wi-Fi all over the resort Extras for Preferred Club guests
Don't Miss out on Anything Else
One of the most amazing things about an all-inclusive is that you never have to leave. There is food, drinks, and entertainment for days. And when it comes to Now Onyx, the beaches are wide and beautiful, the rooms are modern and bright, and the service and amenities go above and beyond. But don't forget to leave the resort and explore what else the Dominican Republic has to offer. In addition to pristine beaches, DR also has many places to hike and explore. It even has rainforest! Do you love water sports? Check out Boca Chica with its clear water and the largest reef-protected bay in the Caribbean. You can snorkel or scuba-dive. You can also enjoy a plethora of water sports from water skiing to windsurfing to kayaking. The Dominican Republic has quite a few museums that are worth the trip, including the Amber Museum, which was built in 1918 and is located in historic Santo Domingo. Another amazing experience you can have in the Dominican Republic is horseback-riding. You can make it romantic by riding on the beach with your loved one. Or you can visit Canadian-owned adventure ranch called HorsePlay. Not only can you ride on horseback through lush and beautiful DR vegetation, but you can also soar through the forests on their zip lines.
Eat the Yummy Food
A classic Dominican breakfast is one that sets the tone for the day. Fried salami, eggs, mango, and queso frito make the most delicious breakfast you've ever had. Mangu on its own is a dish in itself. It's made from boiled, green plantains that are mashed and topped with red onions that are sauteed. Don't forget to wash it down with a smooth cup of Dominican Joe. One of the most common meals of DR and one you can't miss is named after the flag. It's called La Bandera and it consists of stewed beans, white rice, and meat that is usually roasted or stewed. Tostones, fried plantains, are the perfect pairing for La Bandera.
The Now Onyx Punta Cana Is the Perfect Place to Spend Your Vacation
Are you planning a trip to the Dominican Republic and wondering where you should stay? Have you already booked your trip and wondering how to plan your stay? Either way, the Now Onyx Punta Cana is one of the most beautiful destinations you could choose. From hiking to horseback riding on the beach to exploring the rich culture of the Dominican Republic, there is much to do in this beautiful Caribbean country. That being said, if you're staying at Now Onyx, you never have to leave. Now Onyx offers a myriad of ways to both have fun and relax. And in addition to this beautiful resort, there are many other ways in which you can experience the beautiful Dominican Republic. Do you want to see dolphins while you're on your trip? Book your tour here. Read the full article

Aruba Beaches: The Best, the Most Peaceful, and Everything Between
Everyone knows the classic song "Kokomo" by the Beach Boys. If you need a refresher, it goes a little something like this. Aruba, Jamaica, oh I want to take ya Bermuda, Bahama, come on pretty mama What many people aren't familiar with is the very first place in the song, the magical island of Aruba. If you're in the Dominican Republic, or anywhere in the Caribbean for that matter, an excursion to Aruba is a must do. The small island is home to plenty of pristine beaches. Just like any tropical vacation destination, Aruba has the beach to fill your needs, and that's where we come in to help. From the lively party beaches, to serene beaches where you can kick back, relax, and sunbathe the day away, this is your guide to Aruba beaches.
Palm Beach
No, we're not talking about the famous beach town in Florida where spring breakers travel by the thousands. The island of Aruba has its very own Palm Beach, and it's the hub of the entire island. Most of the high-rise resorts on the island are situated in Palm Beach, so if convenience is your priority, this is the place to stay. Renting a car is the way to go in Aruba, but if you don't want to do that, stay in Palm Beach. It has everything you need and more within walking distance. However, just because the beach is busy, doesn't mean it's not beautiful. The two-mile stretch of beach is absolutely stunning. There are plenty of water sports to be had here, including paddleboarding, jet skiing, and kite surfing. Palm Beach is also the place to be if you want to get in on the Aruba nightlife. There are bars and casinos galore, so no matter your mood, Palm Beach has what you need.
Eagle Beach
If you venture a little south of Palm Beach, you'll encounter the crown jewel of Aruba, Eagle Beach. Eagle Beach is the most popular beach in Aruba but is also the largest, so it never feels too crowded. Get there early, grab a cabana, and let the sun and the waves take you away. Eagle Beach was ranked as one of the top beaches in the Carribean by everyone from Trip Advisor to Forbes, and for good reason. It's home to pristine sand, clear blue water, and the famous fofoti tree that you've probably seen in travel videos. This is the ideal beach for a romantic getaway, as it's close enough to the nightlife that you can venture out if you want to, but far enough away that it's peaceful at night.
Flamingo Beach
Flamingo Beach is located on Renaissance Island, a 40-acre manmade island just off the coast. If you couldn't guess from the name, this island is home to a ton of beautiful pink flamingos. And while most flamingos aren't keen to visitors, the ones on Flamingo Beach are so used to the tourists that they simply walk around and mingle. Flamingo Beach is part of a private resort, so this is a trip you need to plan ahead for. If you aren't staying at the resort you can purchase a day pass, which includes a ferry to and from the island. But the passes sold each day are limited, so don't plan this excursion last minute.
Andicuri Beach
Ready to get away from all of the tourists? We thought so. Head to the opposite side of the island for some solitude, waves, and incredible views. Andicuri Beach is a local favorite, which is always something you should look for. The strong currents make it ideal for body boarding. The beach is rugged and natural. It's a cove surrounded by rocky cliffs, so whether you want to bask in the sun or hide in the shade, you'll find it here. There are no facilities at Andicuri Beach, so pack a picnic, lay out, and enjoy the solitude. If you're looking for a two-for-one beach deal, Blackstone Beach is a quick walk from Andicuri, and offers some stunning views. Take a break from sitting on the beach and go for a quick adventure!
Druif Beach
If you're looking for a bit of peace and quiet but not quite ready for the trek all the way to Andicuri Beach, Druif Beach is the place to go. Located relatively close to Oranjestad (the hub of Aruba, where Palm Beach is located) but on the opposite coast, it's the perfect quick getaway. It's a great place to lay down and relax on the beach, or go for a swim. If you're in the mood to be active, this is the place to play a fun game of beach volleyball with the locals and other travelers. One of the highlights of Druif Beach is the pelicans that regularly hang out on this beach, offering a perfect wildlife photo opportunity for those who don't make it out to Flamingo Island.
Baby Beach
Baby beach is the perfect blend of peaceful and convenient, tourist and local. It's located on the southern tip of Aruba, away from the city and the resorts. This beach is the spot to go for snorkeling, as its turquoise waters are abundant with marine life. It's shallow and calm, which means you can snorkel or swim much farther out into the ocean than most places on Aruba. There aren't a lot of hotels or restaurants nearby, but there are a few local places on the beach to get some food and drinks.

AMResorts Notification: Dreams Dominicus La Romana Preferred Club Beach Lounge Enhancements
AmResorts would like to take this opportunity to inform you of an enhancement project planned for the Preferred Club Beach Lounge at Dreams® Dominicus La Romana. Work will begin today, September 26, 2019, with an estimated completion date of October 31, 2019. Planned enhancements include a lounge expansion featuring a full bar, self-service buffet stations and a kitchen. While renovations are in progress, a bar service station in a lounge setting will be located at the beach serving the à la carte menu for continental breakfast and offering snacks throughout the day. The BBQ service for lunch will remain the same. For privacy, palm plants will be placed in front of the wooden deck to cover the lounge and surroundings during renovations. In order to shield as much noise as possible for guests, chaise lounges closest to the lounge will be removed, and further, the detailed work will be done throughout the night. If any additional information is needed, please contact Denisse Ulerio, Director of Sales, at [email protected]. Read the full article
