The sad state of a beautiful place

Beside the escalator to the beach sits monument to neglect. A two level restaurant with an amazing view of some the most sunsets of southern Europe.

Of the locals I talked to, none knew the exact reason why construction was halted just prior to completion.

The rusting ventilation shafts are falling over and the patio overgrown.

Above, a large Terrace where local and tourists should be, is a hang out for the homeless.

Ceramic thundedome

I miss my wood floors and carpets. Not just for the warmth and softness but because of it's contribution to silence.

While each morning sunrise is amazing and unique, every footstep, each dropped whatever, echos and reverberates.

I can tolerate the grind of the motion activated bathroom fan at 2:13 in the morning but as the bathrooms are connected and constructed the same, you get to know everyone's bathroom schedule.
