Hat Kid and Snatcher AU doodle

A friend in a server found a CSP brush equivalent to my PS’s lineart brush, so I’m very happy!

Prelude to A Hat in Time TitH AU

Rough and unpolished but well... Felt like writing something of a tease for the AU!

Random question, within in the horizon AU, you eluded that snatcher needs to be anchored to shadow to be able to manifest outside the horizon, but does he conjure the shadow or appear from naturally occurring ones? If the latter is true, what happens if you shine a light at the shadow he's anchored on? Does he just... poof?

Good question!

Snatcher in the Horizon AU can do both really but mostly the latter. Shining the light on him to forcefully remove the shadow doesn’t necessary make him go poof right away, he’s hardier than that! So, his form would persists for a few seconds before fading out unless he anchors himself to another shadow. Besides, this doesn’t stop Snatcher! So long as there are shadows around to travel to and manifest from, he’ll come back. Hell, he can still talk while in the shadows too, similar to the beta cut level of Vanessa’s manor.

Once he and Hat Kid sign a contract, he will primarily anchor himself to Hat Kid’s shadow for a majority of the time.
