-- "That's fine. If it'll help me sleep, then I can't complain, can I?" He chuckled softly. He took the tray, setting it down to pour himself a bit of tea. Just a small cup for now, and if he wanted more, then he'd have some.

-- He took a careful sip, making sure it was cool enough so he didn't accidentally burn himself. It wasn't like anything he was used to, but it wasn't necessarily bad.

  Within a few mintues of Lan Fan being missing, and silence, the kitchen was sounded with the whistle of a kettle as it steamed up and blew out. Footsteps could be heard making their way down the hallway and back into the room that held the alchemist.

     ”It’s hot, and it might not be to your taste. It’s has a rather bitter taste to it. I hope it’s alright for you.” She handed the tray over with the tea cup and kettle.

-- "Yeah. You never know sometimes." He chuckled softly, watching her move. He didn't think that she would need it, but if she needed any help, he was ready to hop up and do whatever he had to. He didn't want her to strain herself on his behalf, after all.

     ”No trouble at all,” She started to lift up off the couch she was sitting on with a quiet grunt from the pain giving off by the automail, she started to make her way to the door. “I’ve made sure to pack some before leaving home, I didn’t know when it would come in handy. Guess it finally has.” She gave a slight chuckle, thinking of how such a fluke could turn out into a blessing.

Holy cow, you guys, it’s almost been a year since I made this blog. I tell you, the FMA fandom has been a great experience and I’ve met some amazing people. Just as a little thank you for sticking with me, I decided I’d put together a little giveaway. I’m broke as a joke so, being resourceful, I decided to do the things that I’m fairly good at anyway for prizes.

-- Figures. He really wasn't sure if there was anything that he could do about it. Most likely not. He just nodded quietly, continuing to pet her. "...Is there anything I could do to help you feel better?"

"…Hurts…"the creature said, pain clear in her voice.

"Yeah, I noticed," she muttered in annoyance.

-- "I'm not here to entertain you."

"Well, you’re no fun,” she said, pouting slightly.

-- Unable to do anything else, he chose to pet her gently. If he couldn't help her, the least he could do was try to comfort her and make her feel better. "How... How are you feeling...?" He asked softly. Maybe it was a bad question to ask, but he wanted to be sure she was okay.

The chimera stayed silent, nuzzling Edward gently while she looked at him with eyes filled with despair.

-- Ed glanced up at her with interest. It sounded nice, and if he could get at least one good night of sleep, he'd be content enough. "If it's not too much trouble, that'd be nice."

     ”Do you know what you need?” She questioned him with a smile gracing her features. “There’s a Xingese herbal tea that can cause a horse to be rendered unconscious if done right. Though you won’t need that much of a dose, I could make you some, if you’d like.”

-- He could hardly speak, inhaling a shaky breath. He swallowed, his throat burning as he tried to keep back more tears. "I'm sorry," he mumbled again.

Nina pressed her muzzle to his cheek, pushing away some of the tears.

"Please don’t cry, big brother…It makes…me sad…"

-- "No, there's nothing in particular. Just the usual stuff, you know?" He shrugged. "It could just be how much I'm thinking about it all. I can't get any of it out of my head."

     ”You do know that being a growing young man, you still need your rest.” She knew the consequences in speaking of him not being able to grow would be, so she kept that to herself. “Is there something on your mind that’s causing you not to sleep?”

-- "I'm sorry..." He held Nina tightly. "He's... He's somewhere else, now... I'm sorry..." Trembling too much, he let the chimera go, sitting in front of her with his head down. He couldn't bring himself to wipe away tears of his own, and just sat there, staring at his shaking hands.

"Daddy…daddy…"the chimera murmured softly, tears rolling down its face.

"Oh, nothing. I just figured I’d pay a little visit.”
