Soul is almost always on edge, due to his past as a Stray, that demanded him to be alert almost 24/7. After he came to the Albarn Family, he was a little calmer, but his restlessness would come back in full-force every time they went into battle.
This happened after a battle where one of the enemies had almost succeeded to take Maka away. The debacle was over, but Soul was still so restless he could barely sleep, fearing someone would take her away. As always, he didn’t tell anyone.
Hence, this.
