wooooof. this is contentious. because it's been some time since i popped open the cogs playlist and there's some heat on here

i will go with Thus Always to Tyrants (The Oh Hellos)

a big part of Cogs' character is that she is a woman you can set your watch to. even now, hundreds of years outside of her own time, she is still ticking away, and she will do whatever she can to honor her oaths to the people she loves.

slightly easier! i will go with Bonnie Hill (Jungle)

the whole song is so good but the refrain of just like in the sunshine / it's okay to be selfless / let your soul shine / it's okay to feel helpless sums up cogs and evie to me in a very specific way. it's two women who have their histories and their struggles and breaking through into each other's lives and slowly, surely becoming safe harbors for one another. especially with the role the sun plays in our game and cogs' connection to it... they're gay your honor

sunflowers. gladiolus. but like, every livi character is one of those to be honest

this is tough! i mean, the easy answer is that it's me, because i play cogs in every session so far. but that's not what we're looking for here. going to let my bias show and say that if i could have a dream casting, it'd be Allegra Clark, doing a combination of what she does as Marisa in SF6, Bloodhound in Apex Legends, and Shamir in Fire Emblem: Three Houses. and then irish, and deeper. (i love allegra clark)

20) If they fight, what's their weapon of choice?

Saoirse Cogley's weapon of choice is herself, and by that i mean her weapon of choice is the seven foot long battered and worn greatsword she wears at all times that she has a psychic link to. its name is Tyche. its connection with her grants her a series of luck-based supernatural abilities. due to the nature of the connection, Tyche and Cogs view themselves as the same person, barely seperated by the veil of a specific physical form.

that being said, Tyche is overkill for the vast majority of situations Cogs gets into (she has drawn Tyche maybe like five times in like three years of this game). most of the time, she relies on her fists or a small handaxe she keeps at her side. and for ranged engagements, she has an old military revolver that has a tendency to jam for everyone except her (luck powers)

nothing super duper well, but she can pluck a guitar well enough to carry a tune. she can also keep time on just about any flat surface and knows the absolute basics of piano. most of her musical history is caterwauling pub songs with her lasses in her younger days

ruby would be an elf berserker with rogue abilities. i personally would like to see it

ruby has no children, she probably won't ever (even in the vampire sense), but in either case, she would be a bad parent! she does not know what to do to give a child life lessons they need to succeed in the world. she would probably have her kid act like a lookout while she steals stuff

ruby is a lesbian! her love language is uhhh... acts of service. and receiving is split between words of praise and physical touch. it depends on who you are! it's words of praise if you're her boss and physical touch if you're drea (the physical touch is fistfighting)
