Deathnote has religious symbolism, I think we can all agree on that, but I’d like to point out the similarities between the fallen angel and Light Yagami. Both having come from the best the world could offer, sought more power, and in the end having been ripped from everything because of their own selfishness. Both have extreme god complexes and sought to become god. Both were struck down by that who gave them their power. Light having received his deathnote from Ryuk got ended by him, meanwhile for the devil all his command over the army in heaven got stripped as he got cast out from heaven into the darkest pits of hell.

I still think Light is baby girl though :p the other guy? Not so much
