[Erin had recently started his new job at a restaurant working as a waiter, and it wasn’t an overstatement to say his boss was a bit strange. Earlier that week, he had insisted on following him home to make sure he got there safe; Erin had refused, but he swore he was being watched the entire way. When he woke up the next morning, he noticed stitches on his waist, followed by a stabbing that felt like he was being ripped apart. What the hell?

He had gone to the doctor's before work, asking about the strange occurrence. He had been sitting down for an x-ray, the doctors having no knowledge of what might have happened. “Sir, you are missing your right kidney,” the doctor had informed him with a sort of exasperated tone, and Erin was flabbergasted.

He was in the hospital for a few days afterward to make sure he recovered before he was finally discharged. The entire situation was disorienting, but at least he got to see the shocked faces of doctors as they heard the story.

He was currently at work, explaining to his colleagues what had happened. “Erin, I need to see you,” his boss, Mark, commanded, making him jump. “Urm, okay,” Erin responded, still catching his breath from the startle.]
