Welcome to the Trailer 26 Blog! Andrew and ai are sharing our experiences renovating a dilapidated, old mobile home. But you know what they say ... location, location, location, right? The beast IS located on a double-wide lot about 50' feet above the Colorado River. From our backyard, we have a magnificent view of the Grand Valley on the western slope of Colorado. The beautiful views overlooking historic Grand Junction, rusty-hued mesas and the most magnificent sunsets ever make it almost worthwhile.
Did I mention the old beast? Well, we have our work cut out for us. Really. What were we thinking?

I like spiders and snakes, and worms. Lots of 'em. And we have them everywhere ...

Will you hold the line?
When every one of them is giving up or giving in, tell me
In this house of mine?
Nothing ever comes without a consequence or cost, tell me
Will the stars align?
Will heaven step in? Will it save us from our sin? Will it?
'Cause this house of mine stands strong
That's the price you pay
Leave behind your heartache, cast away
Just another product of today
Rather be the hunter than the prey
And you're standing on the edge, face up 'cause you're a
Natural
A beating heart of stone
You gotta be so cold
To make it in this world
Yeah, you're a natural
Living your life cutthroat
You gotta be so cold
Yeah, you're a natural
Will somebody
Let me see the light within the dark trees' shadows and
What's happenin'?
Lookin' through the glass find the wrong…

This is our "new" 1980 70' single-wide trailer in Orchard Mesa, a suburb of Grand Junction, Colorado. Our double lost sits 50' above the river on a small mesa. While "Anastasia" (our nickname for the mobile home) is as almost uninhabitable, we do have a magnificent view out our back door!
