i think that the notion of someone knowing everything about you (including your innermost secrets) and still loving you regardless is comforting to a lot of people and they aren't wrong for that. but. i still think there's a lot of value in privacy. i think there's happiness in being able to keep some things to yourself. maintaining some distance is healthy. i may joke about codependency and questionable symbiotic relationships but i think You, as an individual, aren't any less valuable if you aren't willing to bare every part of your soul as a metric of "true love"
