not to sound like an alcoholic, but boy do i miss going to parties with the intention of getting fucking wasted. i'm having pre's at mine shortly with a couple of girls before we head to the clerb and I have shot glasses and drunk jenga and a drinking card game ready to go and i'm just like man, can't we just stay at my apartment and get shit-faced? the answer is no, i don't want vomit on my carpet and dancing at the clerb is fun, but still....

The fic I’m writing following what happens after He Tian finds Mo’s memory box is almost done. It’s currently 10k words (and will probably end up 12-13k in the end) so I promise there’s good food otw 🙏 hoping to post it to my ao3 (@sun_monsterz) in a day or two!

Here’s another little snippet in the meantime:

“Momo,” Tian squeezed the hand that was already in his own, reaching for the other to thread their fingers together. “I’ll say it again if you don’t believe it.”

He watched the breath stutter in Mo’s chest at the blatant reminder of the weighty words he’d confessed not too long ago. Mo’s gaze met his own once more, less hesitantly this time.

Before Tian could say it again, though, that ‘I love you’ that was on the tip of his tongue, Mo leaned forwards and kissed him.

It was such a gentle thing—juxtaposition to all the drunkenness and tears and fighting in the time since his return—and he felt his heart swell from it. Tian tried to be equally delicate with Mo, kissing him back with long yet sweet presses to his lips.

The last time he had kissed Mo was when they were teenagers. That felt worlds away, and they felt like different people, and suddenly he was mourning their past all over again.

maybe the reason why he tian is so afraid of/averse to the thought of being “forgotten” is because no one in his family talks about his mother anymore. like. she lived then died and now they don’t even acknowledge her. it’s like she never really existed

I'm equally angry and endeared by He Tian. he saw Guan Shan's heartbreak box and doubled down on his disruptive behaviour. he's telling Guan Shan that they're moving in together. he'll do anything but tell Guan Shan that he's not going anywhere. his logic: I don't need words, I show my love through bold, expensive gestures that Guan Shan has told me he hates! 🤦🏽‍♀️

He Tian truly is a menace. a bulldozer who comes into Mo Guan Shan's life and destroys his peace. wrecks his whole world. good or bad, Guan Shan will fight it, but He Tian knows he'll accept it eventually.
