Many of you would like to view being preppy as being synonymous to being conservative, which is far from it. The preppy lifestyle and aesthetic finds its origins in the Ivy League universities where academic and intellectual discourse is promoted and encouraged, meaning flatly having an open mind, something that is opposed by conservative rhetoric. As the professor said this, he pulled out a document, which David signed immediately without reading.

"First off, you ought address me as 'Sir', second, your new clothes of course". The professor said this while walking off somewhere. Eventually, the two came to a tailor where David was measured extensively.

Classes went on and David continued to struggle in class but was doing a bit better. After a little over a week the professor came to David's dorm.
