I’m always here- tree bros with a baby

I couldn’t get this out of my head and I’m sick so here goes (Also a lot of this is based off of my own experience with adoption, as my little brother was born in Guatemala)

•Connor and Evan have been married for two years

• Evan really really REALLY wants a baby

•Connor is less sure, because he doesn’t want to screw up the child like Larry and Cynthia did with him and Zoe, but he wants to make Evan happy

•So they head to the adoption center and the people are asking them about “preferences” for their baby, ethnicity, age, gender, disabilities, all that, and they’re just like

“We don’t care! Just give us a baby of about six months and we’ll be fine.”

•They end up getting a little girl, four months old, put up for adoption because her birthmother couldn’t afford to feed another baby. The birthmother makes them swear that they’ll give her the life that she couldn’t.

•They name her Juniper Claire Murphy and love her to the moon and back. (Of course a plant name who do you think I am)

•Evan’s a heavy sleeper, so Connor is the one to calm her down when she cries, and he’s surprisingly good at it.

“Hey there baby, what’s all the fuss? It’s ok, I’m here now.” And he’ll hold her and hum and do the rhythmic “shh-shh-shh” thing.

•Evan goes out and buys her all the clothes and toys she could want, because he remembers growing up in a household with not enough money and he never wants her to have to want anything.

•Juniper’s a really quiet kid who takes after Evan, so as a toddler, the house is pretty mellow, not a whole lot of signs of an over-excited child living there.

•Her favorite thing is for Daddy and Papa to read to her, and they read a TON. The house is pretty much overflowing with books, and so they’ve always got something to read to her. Evan definitely got her into plants and botany with his books.

•Music, too! Connor has so many records of so many types, so he’ll put on an old swing record and let Junie stand on his feet so they can dance together.

•Connor wakes Evan up in the middle of the night when Juniper’s about three. “Evan, I want another one,” he mumbles, shaking him. “Lets have another baby.”

•When they go back to the adoption agency, they present their same case. Any baby, just about 6 months old. They end up with another girl, this time from El Salvador. Her birth name was Sylvia Maria Joaquin Vasquez, but Connor and Evan changed it to Zoe Maria Murphy, per Connor’s request.

•Zoe Maria is quite a drama queen, and a total Daddy’s girl. (They call Connor Dad or Daddy and Evan Papa fight me) As soon as she can lift her arms, she always wants Connor to pick her up.

•She ends up being quite the little artist, always drawing on the walls, but her favorite pastime, once she’s a little older, is following Juniper around and doing everything big sister does.

•Zoe Maria was born with mild cerebral palsy, nothing serious, but Connor and Evan explained to Juniper that she would always have to look out for her little sister, because other kids will make fun of anyone who is different.

•Juniper swears that she will, and never once gets embarrassed at her little sister tagging along wherever she goes.

•They’re a really, genuinely happy family.

I’ll just… never understand creators of musicals specifically making their followers feel guilty for watching a bootleg. Like sure, it’s one thing for creators of movies to be like “Can you please just pay $5 to go to the movie theater to see this so we get paid for our hard work?”. But your tickets cost $1000 a piece because it’s always sold out and require hundreds of dollars in traveling and hotel fees, Lin. 

How bout instead of “You’re disrespecting me” try “I’m so sorry you have to watch this shitty quality recording of this art I made that you’re literally dying to get your hands on, thank you so much for loving what I created and I promise I’m trying to get it to you affordably asap so you can truly experience it.”?
