Just putting a quick starter up for Jim Hawkins if anyone is interested. Feel free to like this post and just also know that I might not get to it immediately. You can find my different verses that I have for Jim here if there are any that strike your fancy.
Thanks all and have a good one!

He paused and let her truly soak in everything she saw around her, gently putting his hands behind his back to allow her as much time as needed. A spaceport had a lot going on all day and night, so it was a lot to take in for someone new.
Giving a few passersby a nod or two, he blinked in alarm and turned to her as she asked her question. "What? No, of course not. Why in the world would you-?" He cut himself off from finishing that sentence as he had to remind himself that she came from another planet, and customs were different. "No. No one is killed for being what they are. Look at me, I'm human and I'm walking around safely."
The sea goddess blinked and looked at her surroundings. The boy is right; there are so many different kinds of people with different appearances. Ariel was raised that she would be killed for showing her mermaid tail, like her mother the late queen. But in this planet, Ariel does not feel so much like an outsider.

Hmmm, a long conversation that a drink was had? Well, this was more intriguing than Jim had first anticipated. With a nod, he stuffed the pocket watch away for a moment, moved himself from her door, and headed downstairs. "Tea sounds wonderful Mom."
Smiling a little bit, he settled down at one of the tables spread across the Inn floor. He was so pleased that after all this time, his mother could still work and have this fully equipped Inn again, and despite B.E.N.'s fumbling at times, she became a wonderful helper for her. He was more at ease with, that while he was away, there was someone here at the Inn helping her and that she wasn't always alone.
"I look forward to hearing about it."
The pocket watch. Sarah had almost forgotten she had given that to him, both had stayed up late that night when she had revealed that momento of her father. "I suppose the last time we spoke, I did tell you a little bit about your grandfather. And I think if we are going to talk about him. We should probably take this conversation downstairs, I could make us something to drink."
After all, this could be a long talk. So it was always best to drink something. "Come on. What are you in the mood for. Hot chocolate, tea? You decide." Sarah gestured with a hand for him to go ahead of her, as she would follow after him. "I hope you are ready, because I have a lot to say about my father. We'll probably be up all night again." She returned the smile.

Naturally, a mother would pick out a lie their child told, especially after their relationship had grown closer over the years and for him to approach her room without saying anything for a moment...well. It wasn't hard for her to pick up something amiss. As his mother closed the distance between the two of them, he gave her the tiniest hint of a smile. "Well, I think that's part of it. We haven't talked in a long time and well...I guess I missed it." To be fair, one of the reasons they didn't talk much was because he was barely home anymore, what with being out in space and everything protecting the galaxy. "Plus...," he reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out the pocket watch she gave him not too long ago from her father. "I wouldn't mind knowing more about him."
"Huh? Oh, I have, oh uh...no not really." Jim said as he seemingly appeared to come back to the present moment. Though his words were a lie and he was certain his mother would pick it out like a heartbeat, not that he was really trying to hide it in all honesty. He had to have come to talk to her for a reason but perhaps got a little uncertain as he stood there, thinking.

He smiled slightly at the question and did his best not to laugh. Of course, she probably wouldn't even know what that word meant. "Well, technically speaking Morph is considered an alien. Or," he paused and gestured with his hand at the multitude of creatures from all shapes and sizes that walked around the port. "every single individual you see here could be considered an alien I suppose."
"Can't say that I'm surprised. Not that that's a bad thing of course."
He couldn't say that he was particularly surprised that this woman had never heard of the planet. Granted, he never had gone himself yet but that was definitely a place he would love to go to someday. Morph on the other hand was more than happy to enjoy the company of this new person as he could tell right away that she was nice.
"Magic? Nah." Jim paused as he glanced over at Morph. Come to think of it, he never really questioned or thought about how Morph came to be. "But yes, this spaceport has quite a few different aliens here and this is only one planet in the Empire."

"Jim, is something on your mind? You've been standing in the doorway of my room for five minutes. You know you can tell me anything."

Having seen a raccoon before, he wasn't too concerned about it as the creature seemed far more content to nibble on the stray berries. As he attempted to communicate with her the only way he knew how nature seemed to have slightly other ideas. With a gentle breeze, the winds picked up and gathered leaves as they went, they blew around them in a circle before finally settling down back where they were.
A blink in slight surprise as she spoke in a way he could understand, he just smiled and placed his translator away. "I wouldn't expect you to run away, nor would I want you to. I'm a visitor, nothing more."
Staring intently at the bush before him, waiting to see if his eyes could catch anything off or out of place, a black and grey creature scurried out and started to gorge itself upon the berries on the floor. His body relaxed momentarily before hearing the giggle and his guard was up immediately.
For a second time, he calmed down as a woman appeared from behind her hiding place. Internally sighing, he straightened back up and removed his hand from his pistol. Ah, so there were people who lived around here. Perfect! That would be great information to add to his journal later. Though, as she spoke, he unfortunately couldn't understand her. Holding his index finger up in a 'one moment' gesture, he reached into his other pocket to pull out his verbal translator.
Turning it on, he spoke aloud, "I'm sorry but could you speak again? So we can understand one another?"

As they slowly weaved their way through the crowd, Jim made sure she was alright during this and as usual, keeping an eye out for her family, which with the way they were described shouldn't have been a problem at all.
When Morph appeared, he chuckled a little bit at her comment. "I don't know about that, but I appreciate the compliment. This is Morph, funny enough from the planet Proteus 1." The pink blob happily floated and chirped at the woman and playfully poked her nose.

Unafraid of the newcomer, and not recognizing the metallic object under his hand as a danger, the maiden saw she was about to be discovered in her hiding spot behind the cranberry bush . . . unless she remained perfectly still and silent. Luckily the stranger and his small pink pet companion were entertaining to watch from behind the leaves. But for a moment, as he seemed to look straight at her, still not seeming to see her, she held her breath.
Meeko suddenly darted out in a blur of black-and-white striped fur, dodging the stranger's feet and grabbing the berries off the ground and eating them.
Pocahontas couldn't help but let out a giggle.
This dangerous game of hide-and-seek was all over, she thought. She was about to lose. She didn't care anymore if the other found her, as she was curious about him. Admitting defeat and turning herself in, she bobbed her head up from behind the bush. A slight smile on her face, framed by long charcoal-black hair, tips brushing the ground as she kneeled behind the bush.
"You've found me," she said aloud playfully in her native language.

► reblog to let your mutuals know that... YOUR RP BLOG IS NOT TIME-SENSITIVE!
...That there is NO time limit or expiration date on asks, memes or threads.
...That your partners NEVER need to feel they have to apologise for not responding to a thread or ask yet.
...That you welcome replies to "OLD" threads and memes, even if they've been sitting quietly untouched for weeks or months.
...That there is NEVER any pressure or obligation for your partners to reply until they feel the drive and enthusiasm to do so.
...That YOU will happily respond to things at YOUR OWN leisure, and you would like your partners to feel comfortable doing the same.
Not everybody enjoys running their blog this way and that's a-okay. But removing the idea that RP interactions are something that can "expire" or that the asks in your inbox have an unspoken "due-date", takes the pressure off of both your partners and yourself and can help bust feelings of stress/anxiety from the hobby. Reblog to let your partners know that you're just jazzed to receive new writing from them, whenever it comes.
