She’s dead.

What is done is done. Once again, I bear witness to the death of a beloved friend. Maria, I won’t—will never forget you even as your face begins to fade from memory and from the childer you have housed in that holy haven of yours. Even if I helped in your death, I still see you as a friend. I pray that you’re here, with us, free from that torment. The secrets of the Manila court died with you that night. There was a time in history where I never thought I could aid in your final nights alive, let alone bring upon the wight that killed you in the early hours of dawn. There was a time you and I and everyone we knew as well as the streets of Intramuros would have never turned away from our humanity. I had a choice between myself and you, Maria. I chose to walk away from what made me human in the first place. I remember a time where we were people even when we were undead, but now, I’m not so sure if the beast in me is satiated by sitting idly as a mentor. It claws at me, strangles me in every hour of the night.

The times are changing, aren't they? Student becomes the teacher, knight becomes the king. Our fate—my fate—is in the hands of God now. We all considered each other friends before even when we’re monsters veiled by this mask of humanity. We were not blinded by the golden glint of power back then but now I see myself kissing the ring of the Ivory Tower and I forget myself.

I beg God, or any God out there that can hear me, that you’re in a better place Maria. I’m sorry. I don’t know anymore. I’ve become blind.

You died, Maria, because of your visions of the truth. And you always knew that didn’t you? That’s why you accepted death.

No one in the court wants to speak about you to anyone. You’ll become a memory, a name in burnt letters, and a testament to mercy.

Update on VTM Disability Guide

> I have gone through the following sourcebooks compiling quotes. mechanics, and various pieces of information related to the topic of disability

Vampire the Masquerade: 5th Edition Corebook, Vampire: the Masquerade 20th Anniversary Edition Corebook, Time of Thin Blood, Nosferatu Clanbook, Malkavian Clanbook Revised, Outcasts: A Players Guide to Pariahs

> Read through all 32 responses to the survey and compiled a spreadsheet recording respondents' self-reported disabilities, what they want to see in the guide, whether they support using Caitiff and/or Thin Blood as a disability metaphor, etc. Because spreadsheets are neat!

I still need to go through each one to include specific requests for certain disabilities people want to see represented in the guide, but that will happen soon and this spreadsheet will help me (I will unfortunately not be sharing the spreadsheet due to privacy concerns of the responders but it's a key part in my research organization steps for this guide)

My next step is to organize an outline for the guide. After that, I'll actually start writing each section, and once that's done I'll start to put together a group of beta and sensitivity readers. If that sounds like something you're interested in, please follow me and be on the lookout for that official call!

For now, please continue to share and fill out the Google form. Y'all's feedback has been incredibly helpful and I'll be continuing to look through the form periodically as I keep working on the project. Thank you to everyone who has filled it out so far! I'd especially like to hear from more people with physical disabilities regarding how you'd like to see accessibility devices represented in VtM. But of course I would still like to hear from absolutely everyone!

Eris believes in soulmates! She honestly believes that they’re more than just romantic. A soulmate can be anyone that completes your life, like a puzzle fitting into place and painting the full picture

Her love language is quality time so spending time with her beloved (ahem Sheriff Qui), is probably her favorite thing ever. However I think bringing her space nerd ass to the Canada Aviation and Space Museum would actually make her marry him on the spot
