I will say, a nice touch of Endgame Thor was that when he got his mojo back and got all suited and booted to kick Thanos’ arse in the finale, he didn’t immediately spring back to his original physique??

like, it would have been so easy (and I imagine appealing to a large percentage of the female audience) for that lightening strike to have magically returned him back to familiar, shredded Chris Hemsworth, thus confirming the idea that fat thor = useless, unworthy; six-pack thor = kickass and competent, but it didn’t. The realisation of Thor’s arc through PTSD and depression wasn’t that he got a ripped body, it was that he got his attitude back (and realised it’s alright to fail as long as you get back up on the horse; another nice moment). 

Chubby Thor still kicks ass every bit as much as Six-Pack Thor does, that’s all I’m saying.
