honestly idk im rapidly approaching 5 years on T and thinking about my body a lot but damn man. T saved my life fr 

been quiet on here bc im just living now and there’s not too much to say but yeah. might update a lil once im at 5 years

8 weeks out / Before 

me taking photos of my body that actually show off my insecurities challenge. these all seem /okay/ to me? i gotta take photos of the stuff that actually bothers me (my hips and legs) 

anyways. not expecting to make huge gains tbh i dont know if i can stick with this working full time and trying to do uni but yeah. i want to try and this is a way to keep me accountable

8 weeks out

im  8 weeks away from being 3 years post op. i figure since outside of work (thankfully im still working) i have a chance to cut down on drinking socially and eating like shit (ironically the last two weeks of semi-quarantine i’ve had more takeout than in the last year).. i could try and make some body progress. i’ll take some photos tonight maybe as a reference but it’d be cool to see if i can do anything in 8 weeks since i keep saying i want to be ‘fit’ by x-date post op. 

if i dont get sick. stay safe out there if you are reading this 

i’m gonna check in i guess just to remind myself to keep doing it. sucks that i cant climb or go to a skatepark right now -_- the two forms of exercise that arent a chore. + swimming. oh well. for the best rn

got my birth cert finally. 6 month wait is over

so when i called BDM about my birth certificate they said they’d get someone to give me a call or leave a voice mail and that it would happen within a few days and that was over a week ago now. 

legit what is the deal. gonna call them Again on monday

every so often i remember that I submitted my application to change my gender on my birth certificate on the 20th of Feb, two days shy of a full four months ago. side note is the births deaths and marriages line ever not experience a high volume of calls..

it sucks because i didnt photocopy the surgeons note so if they do lose my stuff i’m gonna have to get in contact with Andy again.. and start the process over.  the turnaround for my name was legitimately under three weeks i think? 

I called them roughly a month ago asking what was happening and they had the application in the system. So really idk

2 years post op. 25/5/19

there’s not a huge amount to say to be honest. Haven’t noticed any major changes since 18 months. so here’s some close ups of scars / nips under natural light 

 i dont know how well it comes through i tried to take the photos as best i could but there is still a reasonable amount of red pigmentation on the scars. like i’v said previously it fluctuates with temperature and activity level. that’s something that i think will continue to fade over time. 

i dont do scar treatment anymore and havent for a long time. I did have hard areas on my scars that have flattened and softened thanks to scar care. I also dont go out in the sun without protection on the scars atm it’s zinc cream which isnt super effective in water but i’m looking around for other options. may have a go at just letting them be in the sun this summer (6 months) but we’ll see when it comes. 

I still shave my chest i dont love having a lot of body hair atm when it’s just kind of gross and not at a substantial level so it’s unclear how much of my scars they cover. 

work outs have kind of stopped because uni is destroying me atm so not a lot of progress on the muscle front .. but even though i could pick apart these photos and point out all the things i dont like it’s crazy how far i’ve come in the last two years. both physically and mentally. 

 i’m proud of how much ive improved over the last 2 years. I’m not where I want to be but im not where I was and i’m so much happier and more comfortable . im feeling very grateful

better set of photos of my zinc scar cover (also a good look at the dint on the right side of my chest).

works pretty well my only complaint would be that it’s not as waterproof as it claims to be and comes off if you are in the water for a while. easy to apply and would be less noticeable if i wasnt so pale. leaving my scars with nothing on them would be less noticeable imo but i want to keep them out of the sun for a little while longer. 21 months post op
