I find it so interesting that so many antis are willing to drop, block, turn on friends they've known for years over finding out they're proship instead of.... Y'know..... Trying to understand their point of view in any way. Especially if the relationship was close. Like this is a person you formerly thought was a good, safe, kind, and moral person, but all of a sudden you find out they identify as a proshipper and it's like cooties to you so you run away screaming. I just think it's really closed minded

i was groomed into being an anti as a child with unsupervised internet access / parents that didnt understand the internet.

i used to go and seekout content that was hurting me (probably as s/h) and start arguments over nonsense. and it was constantly enouraged by antis for me to threaten and harrass ppl.

then i got therapy as a teen and she walked me through it and now im a proud proshipper :) its so important to learn good coping skills and its just the worst that most antis are just children that are terribly emotionally disregulated. (plus i ended up having morality ocd too and that didnt help lol)

If You're Anti-Proship then you are pro-harassment. That's literally it. No debate to be had. Proshipping means you are Anti-Harassment. Everyone was a proshipper a few years ago, it just didn't have a name yet. New fandom culture is all about making everything a "safe space" and when you have an opinion that's outside of the norm they dogpile you and suddenly their safe space isn't so safe??

If you want to have a safe space for EVERYONE then you can't be anti-proship because that doesn't make sense.
