Women’s Day Celebration at Rohini College 2019 – Be Bold for Change

Savitha who is a Motivational Speaker (Assistant Professor, Department of English at Sree Ayyappa College, Chunkankadai) inaugurated the session on WOMANHOOD REDIFINED, and on 10th Sep 2019, Chief Guest Mrs. Lucy Baek and Ms. Yasmeen, Peace Ambassadors from IWPG- South Korean (International Women’s Peace Group) inaugurated ” A Peace Awareness Campaign” in association with PAW (Peace Alliance for Women). ​ International Women’s Day is important because it encourages us to celebrate the many contributions toward women’s rights, while recognizing that we each still need to press for progress towards gender equality. Eye Camp and Dental Camp by Rotaract club & Rotary club

NSS Units of RCET, Rotaract club & Rotary club of Nagercoil Town jointly organized Free Eye Camp and Dental Camp in association with Bejan Singh Eye Hospital, Nagercoil.

The board of directors, NSS Coordinator Dr.Senthil Velmurugan, Chief Guest Dr.Vijayakumar presided over the meeting. Chief Guest delivered a talk on “Food Habits and Healthcare”. Followed by him, Eye specialist from Bejansingh Eye Hospital and RamaMoorthy Eye Hospital examined around 300 students with state of art equipment. The objective of the general eye check-up was to facilitate early deficiency among the students and provide tips on caring for and protecting their eyes.

The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from the teachers and students. NSS Student coordinator delivered the vote of thanks.
