Bell x Vinder and The Doctor x Yaz Parallels

I'm not the first person to point any of these out I just wanted to compile them all in one place as I find it facinating.

Reunions

In these two scenes when the two couples reunite shots and lines mirror each other.

BEL: Missed you. VINDER: Missed you more.

DOCTOR: I missed you. YASMIN: I missed you too.

Holograms

Bel is left with a hologram of Vinder, Yaz is left with a hologram of the doctor when they get separated.

The shots in these scenes do not mirror each other but the lines do and the colour palate is very similar. The concept itself is also a direct parallel.

DOCTOR: I'm sure I miss you. YASMIN: I miss you too.

VINDER: I love you BEL: I love you too.

Music

Here are two examples of Yaz's theme from Eve of the Daleks

The first example is from the scene where Yaz confesses her feelings for the Doctor to Dan and the second example is from later in eve of the Daleks after 13 is confronted by Dan. (There are many other examples of Yaz's theme and it's variations throughout all three seasons of Chibnall's era).

Here's an example of Bel's theme from flux:

DIf we look at the final phrase of Bel's theme we can see that it is, musically, almost a flipped version of Yaz's theme. There's very similar movements in the two themes but Bel's is a flipped hopeful version of Yaz's with a new rhythm. If you can't read music don't worry about it I've not gone into very much detail, just know they're pretty similar. All of the soft piano themes from flux are love themes. (Bell x Vinder, Diane x Dan and of course Yaz x 13). The instrument is used to represent longing and separation. Weather that be physical separation or emotional.

The family dog

At the end of Flux Dan, the Doctor and Yaz go off together and Karvanista, Vinder and Bel go off together. Dan and Karvenista are species bonded so naturally they parallel each other.

Corruption of Empire

Vinder chooses to expose the corruption within the Grand Serpents empire therefore leading to him to leave. Over the years the Doctor has exposed many many corrupt things which the Time Lords (and Division) have done also leading to her being punished and then leaving. I think the parallel here is that they both chose to leave a corrupt empire after having positions of importance within it. To a lesser extent, Yaz is also an ex police officer.

There might be more but these are the main ones I'm aware of for now

These two are not the only times 13 x Yaz have been paralleled with other couples in the show (far from it) and if you're interested in seeing the other parallels I would recommend checking out this post by @nightmanatee
