I have seen a bunch of legacy challenges recently and while I love the ideas in them many seen to require packs and/or have an extreme number of things to do that can be overwhelming for newer players. So I made a base game legacy - these do exist already. I believe this should be doable for newer players and anything that might lead to confusion can be easily googled for guidance.
Sims 4 legacy challenge basegame
General Rules
Can enter cas to add tattoos and change sims outfits/hairstyles as they age up
All money must be earned in game no cheats unless cheating away money
Must randomise infant and toddler traits
Can use MC to determine amount/gender of children otherwise no cheating
Any sim who marries into the households money is up for grabs
All children must have either top notch toddler or top notch infant trait
Once parents are elders the heir may take over the legacy or player can wait for them to die
All heir graves/urns must remain on the home lot
At least 3 things must be passed on from generation to generation
Any lifespan allowed I’d recommend normal when children are in play
Can change lifespan at anytime e.g if you’ve completed all goals and are waiting for parents to die etc
Gen 1
Newlyweds are excited to start their family but first they must prepare, they need a home with a self-sustaining garden and as much home made furniture as possible.
Start with a couple
Assign domestic aspiration and Freelance botanist aspiration
Live in willow creek
Join a career that matches at least 1 aspiration e.g gardener, conservation etc
Must complete aspiration and reach lvl 10 in careers
Master 3 skills to lvl 10
No limit on children or money (however all money must be earned)
Children must be born while at least 1 parent is a young adult
All children must complete 1 aspiration and 1 after school activity (can complete more)
Heir must complete 2 aspirations and 1 after school activity
Heir must have creative trait
Complete any in game collection
Have a garden that makes $400 when harvested and sold - must have a variety of plants (at least 1 veg 1 herb 1 fruit 1 flower)
Have at least 10 pieces of sims made furniture
Heir must have painter extraordinaire aspiration
Children can move out anytime from teen
Heir must stay in family home until parents are elders (then up to player)
Gen 2
Gen 1 heir is excited to meet the love of their lives and bring them to their secret glade. They wish to have a large family and become a successful painter and loving partner.
Gen 1 Heir must go on date to sylvan glade
Get married
Complete painter extraordinaire aspiration
Have 2 masterpiece paintings in each room of the house
House must have a bathroom, 2 bedrooms. Kitchen, living room, study
Have 3 toddlers at the same time (don’t have to be infants at the same time)
All children must complete 2 aspirations
Heir must complete 3 aspirations
1 career of players choice to lvl 5 followed by artist career to lvl 10
Partner can keep career they had, remain jobless or join a career of players choice
All children stay in the home until they are young adults or their parents die
Heir must have romantic trait
Heir must have serial romantic aspiration
Gen 3
Gen 2 heir enjoyed seeing her parents loving relationship and intends to be in as many loving relationships as she can
Complete serial romantic aspiration
Never marry
Have children with different sims (at least 2)
All children must max their childhood skills and complete 1 aspiration
Pick any career but remember it has to support at least 3 people
Don't have your parent be overly involved in the children's lives
Visit all community lots in the base game and take a photo while there
Heir must have kleptomaniac trait
Heir must have public enemy aspiration
Die in front of children as soon as goals complete
Children move out once death is witnessed
Heir moves to a new lot to escape their childhood trauma
Gen 4
Gen 3 heir traumatised by their parents behaviour has moved out keeping only the family heirlooms. Due to their lonely childhood this sim has decided to take it out on the rest of the world and become a master criminal.
Complete public enemy aspiration
Reach lvl 10 of criminal career
Settle down with another sim who must have either a deviance aspiration or other ‘bad’ trait e.g evil
No limit on children
Involved in children's lives - mentor a child in any skill
Children must complete either 2 aspirations or 1 aspiration and an after school activity
Bring all children separately to each library and park in the game and complete an activity with them while there
Children can move out when teens except heir
Heir must have the ambitious trait
Heir must have a fortune aspiration
Heir must stay until the gen 3 heir dies - they can then kick out the partner unless already dead and take over
Gen 5
After being raised by criminals the Gen 4 heir is ready to make something good of themselves. They’ve taken over the family home and intended to renovate the evil out of it. Gen 4 is determined to prove the good path can bring just as much fortune as the bad.
Complete both fortune aspirations
Achieve lvl 10 in any career - pick one that pays well
Master charisma, comedy, piano and violin skills
Have a partner - can get married but not a requirement
For your love interest to qualify as a partner you must go on 5 dates 3 must earn silver
If you marry/join the household your partner must also achieve lvl 10 in their career
Have 5 children
All children must achieve 1 aspiration and join but not complete an afterschool activity
All children must get jobs to contribute to household once teenagers
All children except heir must move out when they are young adults
Heir must have music lover trait
Heir must have musical genius aspiration
Heir inherits home upon gen 4 heirs death
Gen 6
Gen 5 heir grew up listening to their parent play rich people instruments, they now have a great love of music and upon inheriting the family home intends to transform it into a place of music.
Master guitar, piano and violin skills
Complete musical genius aspiration
Reach lvl 10 musician career
Play an instrument at all the community lots
Have twins or triplets - can purchase traits, use cheats, apply lot traits to achieve this
Renovate house, include a music studio and lots of outdoor space
Each twin must have their own room and during their childhood years a separate shared playroom
Twin 1 must complete creative and social aspiration
Twin 2 is your heir must complete motor and mental aspiration
Heir must have genius trait
Heir must have nerd brain aspiration
Die and become a ghost - can be done anytime once goals achieved
Heir takes over once ghost, ghost can remain part of family or just haunt the lot
Gen 7
Gen 6 heir has decided to take advantage of the family's wealth and become a rocket scientist in the backyard. They just want to relax and explore their passions before having a family.
Complete nerd brain aspiration
Master rocket science and handiness skills
Have a library in the family home
Only ever do odd jobs
Backyard should resemble mission control - rocket, woodworking shed with state of the art office inside
Have 1 child
Child must achieve all aspirations and 1 after school activity
Complete space collection (alien collection+space rock collection)
Have sim woohoo in rocket
Heir must have family oriented trait
Heir must have big happy family aspiration
Keep heir living with gen 6 once gen 6 has completed their goals, when gen 6 dies or becomes boring move onto gen 7 heir
Gen 8
Gen 7 heir grew up an only child but intends to have several children of their own. It doesn't matter to them how they have them, only that they have several children to provide her with at least 4 grandchildren to spoil.
Complete all but grandchild part of big happy family aspiration
Complete a career up to lvl 8
Have 3+ children
Master gardening and cooking skill
Have successful children - all must achieve A in school
All children must complete at least 2 aspirations
All children must max their skills
All children to remain on lot at all life stages unless max sim count prevents aspiration completion
Build the family home to fit the families of all 3 of your children
All children to have children of their own
Heir to have curator aspiration
Heir to have cheerful trait
Move onto gen 9 when all goals complete
Gen 9
Gen 8 heir still lives at home with the majority of their family. Grandparent is happy to provide for the family and takes care of most of the goings of the home. This leaves Gen 8 heir free to build their collection.
Have as many children as remains necessary to fulfill gen 8s big happy family aspiration
Complete curator aspiration
Have 5+ jobs to level 3
After 5 jobs you can stay on the 5th or start a 6th with no more restrictions
Once grandparent is fulfilled you may move to a new lot with your children
Find a life partner with the angling ace aspiration (you can give them this aspiration but they must have some fishing skill already)
Your life partner doesn’t have to be the parent of your children
Have a pond on the property
All children to complete 2 aspirations
Heir must be a babysitter as a teen
Heir to have goofball trait
Heir to have joke star aspiration
Heir to stay with parents until they die
Any siblings can move out or move in with grandma once they are teens and up
Gen 10
Gen 9 heir has had so much family they’re sick of it, they’ve decided not to have any. The family will have to continue through their siblings (if they have any). Gen 9 has decided to embrace her crazy upbringing however through comedy, sharing childhood stories throughout their entertaining career.

Achieve lvl 10 entertainer career
Renovate the house to the bachelor lifestyle
Go out on the town meet some people
Have 10 friends
Meet your life partner as an elder
Introduce partner to all remaining family members (if still alive) from gen 8-9
Attempt to pass peacefully of old age
