Summary: With plenty of contestants, Calypso needs one more piece for his contest. one who had participated last contest.

Calypso had crossed the second to last name off the list.
In just a few short therapy sessions, he had planted the seeds of desire for his future contestants.
He could tell that this year’s contest would be quite the show. There was still one more being to enlist. He was chained beneath the asylum with only one man knowing his exitance.
“Time to pay a visit.”
-In a secret room beneath the Asylum- Beneath the asylum was a creature. The creature was an intimidating looking man wore a bleeding buffalo pelt on his head and a bare chest with dried blood. It is unknown how long it had been here, but it seemed dangerous enough for chains.

Needles Kane
Summary: chained up in his cell, Serial killer Needles Kane gets a visitor with an interesting proposition.
Killer.
Heartless.
Psychopath.
Monster.
Needles Kane had heard it all before. From victims to the Asylum staff, even to fellow inmates he was despised.
And he relished it.
Well, the heartless part is a lie. I’ve taken plenty of hearts. Out of the chest.
He had killed thousands of people, with no limits as to who. Sometimes it was a child lured into the ice cream van. Sometimes it was a man who took a wrong turn down the street, a few times it was a woman who thought he was the fun kind of clown. There’s been a few thugs or people who got in his way.
It’s incredible how people beg as soon as you pull a knife out.
The killing made him happy, and isn’t that what life was all about?
But there was one thing that distracted him from the urge to choke someone out.
It wasn’t the walls, the guards or the restraints. The last one was a bit of a problem though.
It was the flames on his head.
On the day he was caught and put to the death penalty, there was a preacher.
I thought he was just some holier than thou asshole, but he had a creative addition to the chair.
The preacher asked God to curse Needles with the flames of hell for all eternity. That translated to having Needles’s scalp being set ablaze.
It had been three months since that day and the flames still burned.
When I get out of here, I’d prefer being able to touch my scalp without burning my hand.
Needles returned to silence, thinking of what his first kill should be when he gets out.
Maybe I’ll go back to the Ice Cream Van idea, that always brought results. Ooh, I can hear it now, the squeals from the children, the dripping from the cuts-
“Mr. Kane?”
A visitor? That’s new.
“May I come in?”
“If you want your neck broken.”
Despite the threat, the door still opened, with a bald man with a black glass eye in a therapist uniform.
“My name is Mr. Sparks.”
“I didn’t ask.”
“The Asylum considers you a lost cause.”
“They’re right. What do I have to feel bad about anyway?”
Shrugging, the man seemed insincere as he gave his answer.
“Perhaps the thousand lives you’ve taken?”
Feigning regret, Needles responded.
“Oh, yes the poor, sweet children. Taken away by the evil clown. I should have bumped up the number to two thousand. But I guess one thousand is still a fun milestone.”
“How does the burning feel?”
Sneering, Needles walked closer.
“Why don’t you put your face in and try it out?”
The man was undeterred by the threat and even seemed amused at the prospect.
“I’d much rather observe the effects myself.”
I like this guy.
“You wish to leave, don’t you?”
“Who wouldn’t?”
“You also wish your curse to end.”
Glaring at the man, Needles grunted in agreement.
“Could you not ask the preacher? I believe he is in this asylum.”
“He’d probably refuse to disobey God’s plan. Whatever that means. I’d prefer a more… bearable alternative.”
Silence reigned between the pair before Mr. Sparks spoke once more.
“One more question.”
“What?”
“Have you ever heard of a contest called Twisted Metal?”
Running through memories in his head, Needles came at an answer.
“I’ve heard of it. Demolition derby. I thought about joining but crashing cars or shooting missiles doesn’t compare to slitting a throat.”
“I think you’d be a good fit.”
As the man turned to leave, he offered one piece of advice.
“If I recall, the prize for winning Twisted Metal is a single wish. Anything at all can be granted.”
Closing the door behind him, Mr. Sparks left Needles to his thoughts.
A wish, eh? And all I’d have to do is kill people?

Mr. Grimm
Summary: Thirty years since the fateful day, Mr. Grimm is losing grip on his mind. fortunately, his therapist is able to get him on track.
When you’re locked up, time seems to stop being a priority. Days become months, months become years, years become decades.
For the man known as Mr. Grimm, three decades had passed since he was taken to the asylum. A Soldier in the Vietnam War, he and his friend Benny swore to watch each other’s backs. But then-
No. I’m not going down that road.
As he sat, still in his army uniform, he glanced down at the tray of food that he hadn’t touched in five days. Since his incarceration, he had been put on a vegetarian diet to avoid any… Flashbacks.
He was starving, but he couldn’t eat without thinking of the fateful day.
Tilting his head upwards towards the roof, Grimm thought of a way to try and eat without going into a rage.
I think I need better medication.
Hearing his door open, Grimm knew what was coming.
“I’m sure you know the drill by now.”
“After thirty years, I’d be insane not to.”
Me? Sane? I’ve been here for thirty years.
As he was led to the room, Grimm ignored the looks from the staff.
Therapy is pointless. I should have been better twenty years ago, but I’m still stuck.
“Mr. Grimm?”
His head snapping up, he found himself in the white therapy room.
Must’ve zoned out.
Seeing the patient’s response, the therapist introduced himself.
“My name is William Sparks, and I welcome you to your therapy session.”
This guy sounds like a car salesman.
“How are you feeling Mr. Grimm?”
“What do you think?”
“My guess? Starving, angry, tired, remorseful-
“Okay I get it,” Grimm snapped.
“Apologies Mr. Grimm.”
“Just don’t do it again,” Grimm grunted.
Moving on to the next question, Mr. Sparks spoke evenly.
“Do you think you can rejoin society?”
These questions are the exact same as last time.
“If I could, I would have already been out by now.”
“I suppose that makes sense, what with your experiences.”
“You’re damn right it makes sense.”
There was silence for a moment, which Grimm treasured until the man interrupted.
“Do you remember that fateful day?”
Don’t take the bait, He’s trying to get you to open. Don’t say anything specific.
“How couldn’t I?”
“Do you remember the man who forced you into that situation? The man who made you do what you did?”
Grimm practically growled the words from his mouth.
“I don’t know what you’re getting at, but I suggest you drop it before something happens.”
“So, you do remember?”
Lunging over the table, Grimm grabbed the man by his coat and made him to look into his eyes.
“I should slam your face through this table.”
“Do you think Benny would like that?’
“He probably would enjoy me shutting you up.”
“He’s probably wondering why you used his corpse to survive.”
That gave Grimm pause, as he leaned back in his chair. Muttering under his breath.
“You don’t understand. I had to. You would have done the same thing! I- Oh God…”
As Grimm entered his own world of regret, Mr. Sparks relaxed back into the chair.
“I apologize, it wasn’t your fault Grimm. It was the advisor who forced you into that hole.”
As he managed to drag himself from his pit of loathing, Grimm’s eyes narrowed as he remembered who broke his mind in half.
“What would you wish for?”
“What?”
Waving his hand flippantly, Mr. Sparks clarified.
“Anything at all, regardless of desire. Would you wish for Benny? Or for revenge? Only you know. All I ask is that you tell me.”
God, I miss Benny so much. But could he bear to look at me now?
Taking a moment to think, Grimm found his answer.

“I see.”
As the guards came in to take him back, Grimm heard one more thing before the door closed.
“For what it matters, I think Benny would have understood what you did.”
Keep his name out of your fucking mouth.
As he returned to his cell, he eyed the untouched meal.
Leaning against the wall, Grimm zoned out.
One day you monster.

Dollface.
Summary: While speaking with her new therapist, Dollface is struck by the possibility that maybe she wasn’t entirely to blame.
Masks.
There are many reasons as to why one would choose to cover their own face. Maybe out of cowardice, perhaps out of respect, for protection, some even out of excitement.
For the woman known as Dollface, the mask was a punishment. One she had been suffering for the past seven years.
Curled up in the corner of the padded cell, Dollface had the same thought run through her mind.
It was my fault. I should have been more careful.
Raising her head to look at the one source of light, she sighed.
“I probably deserve this anyway.”
Curling back in, Dollface zoned out as one of the guards came in to take her to therapy.
“The therapist wishes to see you now.”
With no response beyond a barely noticeable murmur of how she didn’t deserve help, Dollface stood up to be taken to the white room.
As the door opened, the man in the chair introduced himself.
“Ah, Dollface I presume. My name is Mr. Sparks. Welcome to your therapy session.
Hearing the voice of the therapist, Dollface only felt more guilty. This was someone who could help people, he shouldn’t waste time with her.
“Let’s begin.”
Sitting down in the chair, the woman avoided eye contact with the therapist.
“How are you feeling?”
“Bad.”
Tilting his head in curiosity, Mr. Sparks followed up.
“Do you think you can re-join society?”
“I’m better off in here where I can’t ruin things. I don’t think I’m good enough to be free.”
Tilting his head in curiosity, Mr. Sparks followed up.
“Why do you feel that way? Out of the others here, you are one of the most undeserving of imprisonment.”
Despite the frozen expression on the mask, her voice painted the picture.
“I was a bad person, and when you’re a bad person, you get punished.”
“Pardon me, but don’t you think seven years trapped behind a mask that presses down on your face is a little excessive?”
“Not for what I did.”
Mr. Sparks decided to move on.
“Do you think Kreel would have forgiven you by now?”
Shaking her head, Dollface stayed silent.
“If I may be so bold, perhaps your boss may have overreacted with your mistake?”
Despite her mask hiding all emotion, the way her head snapped up and her body stiffened gave her answer before she spoke.
“No, No, No! He’s a good person. I’m the bad one.”
“Don’t you want to be free?”
“W-well, yes but-
“Why should he be the one to control what you want?”
“But I did-
“And for your mistake he locked you up in a painful mask and left you to be found by police and taken to this asylum where you have been alone for seven years.”
As the therapist continued his speech, Dollface curled in her chair and two words escaped her lips.
“Please stop…”
As if realizing his mistake, Mr. Sparks apologized.
“I’m sorry, Dollface. That was uncalled for.”
“No, no you’re fine. You were just doing your job and I interrupted.”
“I should cut this short.”
As Dollface sat motionless, Mr. Sparks asked a final question.
“What would you wish for?”
“Wish?”
“Anything at all. No matter what. What do you want more than anything?”
Dollface took a moment to decide as she uncurled from her position.
“I just want to be free. But what if I don’t deserve it?”
“Dollface, you deserve the right to live your life.”
Behind the mask, Dollface couldn’t help as a small smile appeared.
The guards came in to take Dollface back to the cell.
“I hope you get your freedom soon.”
Her voice taking on the small tone again, Dollface solemnly responded.
“Maybe one day I’ll be good enough.”
As she returned to her cell, Dollface curled her knees back into her chest as she stared blankly out the crucifix shaped window.
Maybe… It wasn’t all my fault.
No, Mr. Kreel is a good man.
Right?

Preacher.
summary: praying for a chance of redemption, former Evangelist Jebediah finds comfort in this new therapist.
When one makes a mistake, most people’s first instinct would be to beg for forgiveness.
For the imprisoned Evangelist Jebediah, he spent every moment praying to God, hoping that he would get his chance.
Unfortunately, no matter how hard he tried, he remained trapped in the asylum.
Some of these sinners taunt me for my devotion but I know I am above them all.
Bowing his head as he remembered his place, Jebediah ceased his prayer.
The Beast had taken me over in my moment of weakness. That one moment has removed me from Grace.
Jebediah then heard a demonic voice from within, the voice that visited him for two years.
Fear not, my child. He may have abandoned you, but you are not alone. I am always with you.
As the voice played in Jebediah’s head he screamed in defiance, saved from the torture only by his door opening.
“Jebediah, Sir? It is time for your therapy.”
His voice rattled, Jebediah retrieved the hat that had fallen off in his panic and stood up.
“Yes, of course.”
As he made his way to the room, Preacher avoided eye contact with the staff as he played bible passages in his brain to try and stave the voice.
As he entered the room, he felt something strange about the therapist, but he couldn’t quite focus on it as he spoke.
“Ah, Jebediah. My name is William Sparks. I hope this will be a pleasant time.”
Giving a smile despite his circumstances, Preacher sat on the chair.
“How are you feeling?”
Wringing his hands, Jebediah took a moment to put it in a way that wouldn’t sound insane.
“I am still remorseful for my moment of weakness, and I keep hearing a strange voice in my head, often leaving me frantic.”
“Has your medication helped?”
“Sometimes, I’ve found that reciting Bible Passages seem to stave it off.”
Mr. Sparks wrote something down before asking his next question.
“Do you feel you could re-enter society?”
“I was weak before; I cannot rejoin the others until I have returned to the light.”
“Do you remember the night at the church?”
His eyes widening, Jebediah lowered his head as he gave his answer.
“That is a complicated answer. I know what happened through murmurs outside the cell and other inmates, but I can’t remember myself. My mind must be deceiving me.”
“Is it possible that your mind may be suppressing the traumatic event?”
“Perhaps, but I fear that I am in need of a higher power to grant me peace.”
“You seek The Lords forgiveness?”
“Are you one of his disciples?”
Holding his hands out with a joking chuckle, Mr. Sparks denied the assumption.
“Oh, no. I’m nowhere near that level. I just give people someone to talk to. Sometimes I get a little fun to go with it.”
Despite Mr. Sparks lightened tone, Jebediah couldn’t help but feel uneasy as he heard the voice again. It was faint but there.
He’s using you. Like everyone else here. He thinks you’re insane.
“Jebediah?”
Interrupted from the assault, He investigated the concerned face of the therapist.
“Perhaps we should cut this short.”
Rubbing his glasses, Jebediah nodded in agreement.
“Just one more question if you don’t mind.”
“Very well.”
“If you could have a wish, what would it be?”
If I found the truth, I could make my steps towards accepting my weakness and redeeming myself.
“To learn the truth.”
nodding, Mr. sparks motioned for the guards to re-enter as Jebediah was taken away.
“I hope you get your peace soon.”
“I hope only for His Grace.”
Returning to his cell, Jebediah returned to prayer.
Forgiveness will come one day.
I must be patient.
