This is the second version, identical to the previous except it contains Corn Bioplastic, therefore it could be considered more ethically appropriate. I used Premiere Pro to assemble everything together, After Effects for the glitch effects and audio sync, with a few background touches.

This is the first version for the animation, with the slight risk of being unethical due to the potential of giving the wrong message. This animation contains visuals related to hemp, however among my research I was able to find an alternative as previously mentioned.

Shot 5 Finalized. As this is the shot that comes after 4, the sky turns from pink to light blue, as the sky transitioning will be complete.

Shot 4 Finalized. I added a color palate that would fit in with the rest of the shots, by now I decided to give a contrast within the darker shots contain dark blue to empathies the danger, while for the good parts, such as the production of hemp, have a softer color, with the sky moving from dark blue to light blue, while crossing the color pink by the sun, and this shot is in-between the sky transition.

Shot 1 Finalized, I decided to make the world look like a scary place, as a form of manipulation to the audience, by adding a lot of oil pumps riled up together, with a slight delay reaction on each row.

For the 3rd shot the hemp has been replaced with corn, in case it would be considered ethically inappropriate.

Still unsure what to use as a background for now. But the result took longer than expected. It took around 2 days, as I wanted to add more details to the sphere and components that the tutorial didn’t address so I found them on my own. I went through a lot of trial and error, having to restart from scratch twice.

For Shot 2 I will approach a tutorial to help me create a puzzle effect on the earth, to spread hope for a better environment.

Bio Plastic Research
When I started my research, I remembered stumbling upon Henry Ford, in my high school, experimenting with the use of hemp to replace steel on cars (1.). The experiment was a success. The product happens to be even more resistant than the metal, as Ford tested the strength by throwing an axe repetitively at the car and barely scratching it (2.).
Previously, I linked a YouTube video related to the hemp plastic taking six months to dissolve. Because of that, I saw hemp plastic as a good option. After looking for a scholarly article related to hemp plastic, I found another documented research by Henry Ford.
1.      http://www.verymagazine.org/magazine/216-overview-issue20/877-henry-fords-hemp-car-1941
2.      https://www.researchgate.net/figure/Henry-Ford-demonstrated-his-hemp-car-on-impact-Ford-1940_fig1_314138191
3.      https://pdfs.semanticscholar.org/0122/53803cb741d2ad4631d8d5c1eb9da000063f.pdf
4.      https://www.jstor.org/stable/3100818?seq=1
Admittedly the hemp symbol is not so different from the cannabis one, being an illegal drug in the UK, therefore from the documented research (4.) I saw another famous bioplastic alternative, being corn.
5.      https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.1002/pi.2360
6.      https://wjarr.com/sites/default/files/WJARR-2021-0054.pdf
From these two scholarly articles, there’s information related to corn bioplastic. Corn would be an alternative solution towards the ethical issue with the audience. (5,6.)
There could be two versions for shot 3 for the client to choose which one is more acceptable.

This is the first test to the shot, but for now the shadow has a small glitch, and at this point I forgot to add the hemp, as that´s the solution I was trying to present here, so I am going to try animating it growing. Another thing I tend to notice is the ground being too flat, which is something I also want to improve.

Shot 3 Moodboard

For the 3rd shot the theme is death, and birth, therefore I am going to use these different components, trying to symbolize that wherever there´s death, doesn´t mean that there´s necessarily no hope.
