concept playlists
feel better;  it’s been a long week, not moving from your permanently dark bedroom, your phone forgotten under the bed with a hundred missed messages, but you’re finally opening your eyes and seeing a sliver of early morning sunlight filter in behind the curtains that a mysterious breeze blew open.
daisy chains;  it’s late spring or early summer and you’re dozing with your best friends in the grass, the slow and peaceful brush of the warm breeze keeping you in that state of just waking from a pleasant dream.
songs to run away to;  you’re packing an overnight bag and taking the first bus out of the city. you’re not exactly running away, but you don’t plan on coming back. all you know is that your only goal is to keep on running.
classical jams;  it’s your fancy neighbour’s annual ball held in their gothic castle and you’re getting turnt to tchaikovsky while very deliberately disappointing your parents who wanted you to use the occasion to find an upstanding suitor.
dark academia but it slaps;  vague fuck the school system vibes, doing stupid shit with your close friends, caffeinated all-nighters, a chaotic gleam in your eye as you throw paper planes made from your essays out of the highest window in campus, not knowing if your friend really did commit murder. in this household we don’t take ourselves too seriously.

(i’m totally replaceable) I’ll always be replaced, i’ll always be forgotten, it’s my reality. (in a different life) - I can’t wake up in the morning without you on my mind, please leave me. You won’t go but you didn’t say in reality. Please just go. (soft easy love) - easy listening songs that r gentle and pop like that are about love. (from the beginning Alt.) - I found these songs a diff account which makes me think, our lives are diff but we’ve similar notions about soft love and this is how they see it (wont regret you when i go) - Ur dream skater gf listens to this playlist, its summertime and she hangs around the park in the sun every afternoon to night (make me feel like an angel) - songs that i listen to when im happy/calm (make me feel like a demon) -songs that i listen to when im angry (celestial light shines down) - im sitting on the wall by the beach and the water is just swaying, the sun has already set and people are getting in their cars going home but i’m sat here thinking about how im lonely and how much i miss you, im probably gonna walk around the streets for a while too (we are no longer each other’s)  - but i want you to hold me again, I miss your warmth, im so cold without you, please come home to me baby, i can wait for you (it’s really you on my mind) - god you’re still on my mind and i know you don’t want me anymore but i just miss you and i miss what we were but i’m happy you’re in love again, even if i’m not (i’m looking for my heart) - its time i got over it, im moving on now. finally. a new playlist, for a new crush. (i’ll protect you) - i want to protect you and i’ll always be here for you and we’ll grow up together, through girlfriends, heartbreaks, and arguments (in the heat of the summer) - songs mostly about girls that im happy for an am excited to listen to in summer in the sunlight (then there’s no future) - i thought i’d be cured by now but every night im still sitting here wishing I don’t exist and knowing im alone (first day of the month) - it’s the first day of march, a new month with new memories to be made :)

~How to get motivated when you really aren’t~
We all have days when all we want to do is stay in bed and watch youtube or scroll through tumblr, but sometimes you really need to get things done.
Here are some things you can try to get motivated:
Before you get started
☆ if you haven’t yet, go and get some breakfast and brush your theeth, because without energy you can’t focus
☆ make your bed to keep yourself from snoozing or going back to bed during studying
☆ open your curtains and let in some fresh air
☆ fill a bottle with fresh water because you don’t want to feel like you are turning into a raisin during studying
☆ get dressed, and then I don’t mean getting into the largest hoodie and sweatpants you can find. No, wear something that looks decent and makes you feel cute while still feeling comfortable
☆ clear your desk and only grab the things you actually need
☆ tie your hair up or atleast get it out of your face
☆ put on some music or background noise to get yourself in the mood
During your studysession
☆ set yourself a timer and have a short break after you finish
☆ don’t stay in the same position during a break. Stand up do a little dance or go walk around and find yourself a snack
☆ turn off your phone
☆ make sure your room doesn’t feel too warm because nobody likes to be sweaty and sticky during studying
☆ make a list of things and prioritize them so you don’t completely forget something
☆ make sure there is enough light preferably natural light
When you got it done
☆ I’m proud of you so be proud of yourself
☆ have a nice snack or treat yourself with a facemask or some time on netflix
☆ realize how far you have come since you got started
I hope that these tips will help you. If you have anything to add, feel free to do so :)
Wishing you a motivated day♡

ENFP problems
- people not realizing that you want to be alone, but don’t know how to say it in a nice way.
- always ending up in the middle of arguments because you see both sides, causing your friends to get angry at you for not choosing theirs.
- not being able to stick to one thing because you’ll forget about it later.
- feeling like a “therapist” to people because they always vent to you and ask for your advice.
- wanting to be a leader, but dealing with conflict with your friends stresses you out. So you can’t give constructive criticism.
- your energy comes from people, but too much will overwhelm you. Always being in a cycle of surrounding yourself to isolating yourself.
- wanting to help people, but not knowing how.
- worried that you’re being manipulative all the time.
- not being able to let people go, leading into destructive relationships because you think about how they used to be, and they can be like that again.
- when your social energy is at 0% and you need time alone but you can’t get it.
- when your social energy is recharged and you feel horrible for pushing your friends away.
- getting ideas all the time for random projects, but never going through with it. Leaving a ton of papers all over your desk that you don’t want to get rid of.
- worried you’re not yourself. That you’re just someone that changes around every personality to fit their aura.
(These are just some of my experiences)

listen to me: you DO NOT always need to give it your 100%. you really do not. because let’s be honest, you’re human and you’re simply not always going to be able to. there are days when you can only give it your 80%. or your 50%, or heck, even your 10%. and THAT IS OKAY. only skimming one paragraph, only solving one equation, only memorizing 5 words is better than not doing anything because you have this idea in your head that things are only worth doing when you can give what you consider to be your 100%. 10% is better than 0% and some days that is all you can give. it will still add up, and you will still succeed, i promise.

Different ways to study
A few of you have been asking about ways to revise (that’s not just making notes). Here’s a list of some different techniques you can use to revise/study:
Notes - making notes is the ‘standard’ way of studying - summarising information from textbooks/revision guides into your own words
Mind-maps - making these is a great way to organise ideas and link different ideas
Posters - big and colourful posters are a great way to summarise info as well as a more fun way of working
Teaching - teaching others (anyone who will listen to you will do) is a great way, as it will really show whether you really know the info by how well you can explain it to someone who knows nothing about it
Videos - watching videos can be a nice and easy way to revise, and are useful for visual and/or auditory learners
Podcasts - you can download and listen to podcasts when you are walking to school etc. which is a great way to get extra revision in, and they’re great for auditory learners
Flashcards - these can be useful for making really concise notes, as well as making Q&A or key word and definition cards - they are also really compact so you can take them with you
Group study - working with friends can help bounce ideas off each other, bringing up things you might not have thought about alone - you will all have different strengths that will help each other out
Past questions - doing past papers and looking at mark schemes will help your timings and application of knowledge/exam technique
Write (don’t type) - making notes on tablets/laptops is fine, but when it comes to writing practise essays always write because that’s what you will be doing in the exam (unless you use a laptop for some reason) so it’s best to practise for timings etc.
Further reading - reading articles and books around the subject areas will give you a broader idea of the concepts and a better overall understanding
Accents/voices - some people find using different accents or characters of voices helps them remember things (in the exam you can recall info because you remember you said it in an Australian accent for example)
Key word lists - making lists of words and definitions can be useful, as using key words in context in essays/questions is what gets you the higher marks
Post-it notes - writing key ideas on post-it notes and sticking them in places you go commonly (on the fridge, by the light switch, in your bedroom, on the TV etc)
Apps - there are loads of great apps that you can download to make notes and flashcards etc. as well as apps for generally increasing your productivity - see my studying apps post here
Songs/mnemonics - making funny little songs to remember processes can be really useful, as they really stick in your head
Charts/timelines - depending on the subject, making timelines and charts can be really useful as a different visual representation

Morning Habits Worth Starting (Especially for College)
Give yourself enough time to get ready before you have to leave in the morning. For me this means setting my alarm about an hour before the time that I have to get my foot out the door. Eat a proper breakfast, do a little stretching, figure out your plan for the day. Having a slower paced morning is a lot more relaxing, and you can get your day started correctly.
Drink water first thing. I used to be a pretty heavy coffee drinker in the mornings in high school, but I realized that I could get away with a lot less caffeine if I started my morning off with a nice glass of cold water. You’re probably dehydrated after sleeping and water helps wake you up.
Make your bed. Making your bed is a visual reminder that sleeping time is over and that it’s time to get up! If I have a messy bed, I want to climb in and snuggle back into my blankets. This is especially true in the winters when it’s cold and dark. The movement also helps you wake up, which brings me to my next point:
Move! Your! Body! You don’t necessarily have to run through an entire yoga routine or go for a run (but hey, props to you if you do), but getting some movement in your mornings will help you wake up. I like to stretch a little bit, warm up my joints, maybe loosen up my limbs. It helps to get your blood flowing.
Open your curtains. In the winter it might be kind of dark and depressing where you live, so this isn’t always something recommended. I like to open my curtains when it’s sunny out so I can get some natural light, which helps your circadian rhythm so you wake up better - and fall asleep at night better.
Do something productive before your class begins. If your first class is super early, this might not apply. But I find it tremendously helpful to get something done, whether it be a flash card set, a work out, or a load of laundry, before my first class. It’ll get you into a productive mood for the rest of the day, and even if you aren’t productive for whatever reason, you can go to sleep knowing that at least you got something done that day!

Eat healthy foods because you want to nourish your body, not because you want to change the way it looks.
Move your body because you want to keep it strong and healthy, not to change its shape.
Love your body fiercely, and let that love be what drives you to treat yourself with kindness.

hey!! to celebrate my birthday month and autumn in general, i thought it would be nice to post a challenge! i always wanted to do my own one. anyone can join, you don’t have to do every day and it’s okay to switch days if the challenge is inconvenient that day. don’t forget to use #nostalgicautumn so i can find your posts. I would appreciate a reblog so as many people as possible can join! so here it is:
let’s get it! set some goals: what do you hope to achieve this october? include some autumn activities.
create an autumn playlist to keep u company this month! (on spotify and post the link, or just write down the songs on here)
what’s your favorite drink for autumn and why? post a recipe if it’s something fancy.
light a candle for today’s study session & post a pic.
write a short love letter to yourself and put it into your jacket pocket to be your lucky charm. if it’s not too personal, post it on here to. otherwise just recap how it was writing to yourself: was it easy or did you struggle a bit?
how do you say “autumn” in your native language / the language you’re learning? plus points if you google the origin.
read this poem. what did you think of it?
give your notes / your bujo some autumn vibes: doodles, autumn colors,
be creative & post a pic.
what’s your favorite quote?
fav study snack this autumn?
today’s to-do: reading! get yourself cozy and enjoy your book.
are you affected by bad weather? what do you do to make yourself feel better?
what’s your morning routine? is there’re something you could do to make it more enjoyable?
night routine?
record yourself explaining your study material and take a walk outside. did this method work for you / will you try it again?
my hands always get super dry when it gets cold outside. so today’s task is easy: use some handcream! any recs?
watch a documentary or a short educational video on youtube. it can be about anything! some ideas: environment, space, crime, famous people (buzzfeed unsolved counts too ;))
what’s your favorite thing about autumn?
stretch when taking a study break today. what stretches did you do? how did it feel?
do you get nervous for exams? what do you do to deal with nervousness?
post a pic of your study space.
collect some leaves, get some fresh air and take some pics. don’t forget to press the leaves!
document your day with some pics. what are you most proud of for getting done today?
describe your ideal autumn day.
how do you study?
get something done today you have been procrastinating on for weeks. it doesn’t have to be study-related and it’s okay if you only spend 5 mins on it! something is always better than nothing.
have you ever had any magical or paranormal experiences?
time to journal! make yourself some tea and let your thoughts out.
give someone a compliment today. what was it?
what was this month’s biggest accomplishment?
time to take a break & enjoy halloween! what are your plans?

If you think this sounds oddly specific, it’s because it is. As a child, I wasn’t particularly good at any extracurriculars I picked up. The only thing I was really good at was school. I got really good grades and all my teachers loved me, but that created a problem I didn’t realize until I got to the end of secondary school.
All of my self worth was based solely on academic performance. After having to deal with some mental health issues I couldn’t keep up with my previous performance and that took a toll on me. So here’s a list of things that will make you feel accomplished and don’t have anything to do with studying.
1. Cooking: I noticed that cooking at least one meal a week gave me a sense of accomplishment. My go to recipe is pancakes, but you could play around in your kitchen until you find your favorite. If you’re not experienced in the kitchen, start slow and gradually upgrade the difficulty level. I usually make breakfast because I love breakfast food, but this can be made any time.
2. Reading: another very simple thing that made me feel good about myself was getting my tbr pile to shorten. I think all of us have at least one book that’s been gathering dust but we never got around to read it. Well, now it’s a great time to start. You don’t need to read the whole book in one day, just a few pages is fine. Before you realize, the book will be over and you’ll be on your way to the bookshop to hoard more books .
3. Picking Up A New Hobby: I used to dread the idea of picking up a new hobby only to give up two months in because I was too ashamed of being bad at it. After I grew up a little, I realized this is So Not True. I’ve done my fair share of things. Drama club, tap dance, gymnastics, ballet, chess, choir, painting, volleyball... and I sucked in all of them at first. And that’s okay! The only thing I regret doing is quitting because of how bad I thought I was. I recently joined a volleyball team after years of not training and we made 3rd place in our school competition. Most of the times when you think you’re terrible, it’s just your brain being mean. Trust me on this one. And remember: you’re not too old to do anything.
That’s it! If you have any questions about how I managed to leave my academic slump just send me an ask/message about it and don’t be afraid to try new things!
